What's everyone wearing for Easter?

Do you get dressed up for Easter. I hope so. I'm going to my in-laws for supper on Saturday and plan to wear a hot pink (not hot pick, lol) angora top and ivory silk pants (which I do not wear every single day, lol). On Easter Sunday I'll be wearing a very soft print chiffon dress of light aqua and gold. My gems will be kunzite for Saturday and and aquamarine for Sunday.

Oh, I forgot to mention that there is a ....ruffle.... on the very bottom of my Easter dress. Just had to mention that. LOL Oh, my God, I sound like Lisa R.

I'll be wearing my hiking clothes (if it doesn't rain) and going on a nice hike in Harriman State Park. I'm not into dressing up for Easter.

I'm not into dressing up for Easter, either. My husband and I will go to church, out for dinner and then home to read all the Sunday papers--but I'll be doing it all in a green dress that I've worn several times already. I remember when I was a child--everyone in the family got new Easter outfits, everything from hat, coat and gloves to shoes, dress and purse. The stores made out like bandits!

I decided to break out my outfit from the 70's.

Leopard print fur pants, pimp daddy polyester shirt, cheetah leopard print overcoat, fishtank platform pimp shoes, platinum figaro pimp chain, pinched piehat and my happy hour sunglasses. Hey, anyone have an easter egg basket I can borrow?

We don't dress for Easter any longer. When I was younger our church we had a midnight Easter service. It was so neat it was done in the dark with only candles. We would also get the complete new outfits with gloves and hats. Then we would go to a certain place for brunch. It was so much fun. After awhile we would got to Hilton Head or Florida.

So for Easter this year it will be sweats and my ever present bunny slippers.

We went to brunch with my hubby's parents after church. The weather was GORGEOUS here yesterday ... mid to upper 60's, so I wore a pale pink wrap dress with my FAVE new shoes (for HHIgirl ... Christian Louboutin Metallic Ribbon Halter Pumps) and the pearls my parents gave me when I got married.

It's so much fun to see people dress up ... nobody seems to do it much anymore! :-(

Hi,

Beekeeper, your outfit sounded so nice. I like dressing up for days like Easter. I wore a yellow dress, chiffon like, that had purple polka dots, might sound bad but it is a very pretty dress. I had my purple heels on, and I wore a Sak handbag of the same color, and I had my tanzanite ring on. I loked like spring when I took my winter coat off at church. It was cold here and just plain miserable. I did change in the afternoon, as I was cooking dinner for my family and I was more comfortable.
