Julie, it was the LATE sixties, hehehe! Wasn't he a doll? Never hear anything about him in the media. I guess he retired on that hit song, "Julie, Julie, Julie, Do You Love Me?"
I liked Peter from The Brady Bunch!

Definately John Travolta! ...and yep, on Peter Brady.
There was Leif Garrett, Shawn Cassidy, David Cassidy... I know there was more. Just can't think of any off hand... hummmm

Absolutely David Cassidy--and back then, David's father, also a TV star, looked good, too! Unfortunately, dad was a chain smoker, smoked in bed, fell asleep and burned to a crisp.
HHIgirl
03-29-2005, 04:26 AM
Jack Cassidy! He was hot! I believe his alcohol consumtion was also an accelerant in that fire. That story always stuck with my as my Dad was a chain smoker and is an alcoholic. I was always afraid he was going to die that way. Fortunately, he is now a militant ex-smoker.

I LOVED Tigerbeat! lol ... I was all about SHAWN CASSIDY when I was 9 and 10! Had his face plastered all over my room! Then, as he faded ... Rob Lowe came into my life ... the Outsiders, Class, ... sigh ...
I also had SUCH a crush on Lorenzo Lamas when he was on Falcon Crest.
High school drove me to Johnny Depp ... 21 JUMP street! giggle ... he was over the top for me!

Good Morning BEE! I was just thinking about you as I am sitting here drinking my herb tea!
My sis LOVED Shaun Cassidy and Donny Osmond. She even was a member ofthe Donny Osmond fan club. She had an autograph pic and the purple socks! All the kids in our neighborhood even went to see them in concert!
I admit it, I had a crush on Tom Cruise. I realize that is more 80's than 70's but there it is!
How is this for an odd one. In the 70's I had a mad crush on Edward Hermann. It started with the Roosevelt miniseries..hmmmm.. That might be one of they myriad of reasons of why I love big tall men!

David Cassidy and BOTH of the Hardy Boys (even though I never got the Shaun Cassidy pants). Also, David from Eight is Enough - I think his name is Grant Goodeve and Jon from CHIPS. Sorry, Ponch just didn't do it for me. This one began in the 80s and is still with me: Jeff Bridges. Hmmmmmm. Also loved the "Brat Pack" in the 80s, couldn't get enough of the movie, About Last Night. Oh, and Kevin Bacon was too cool in Footloose.
This could be early 80's but Ron Duguay of the Rangers was my favorite. I had this poster of him shirtless and he had mighty fine pecks!!

Remember Mark Shera from S.W.A.T.? I was madly obsessed with him.
I liked Donny Osmond and David Cassidy but Bobby Sherman??? OMG, those tight jeans and plaid shirts on Here Come the Brides sent me over the moon! I thought the older one (Jason Bolt??) was pretty sexy, too.
I also love John Forsyth. Yummy grey hair and that voice!
Oh, and the Bay City Rollers! I loved Eric!
Robert Plant. His button-down shirt open and his pants 2 sizes too small!!!!

I have to defend myself! I'm only 43! The reason I know about Shin-Dig and Hullabaloo is because my mom used to dance to them in the living room when I was a kid. I also had a pink, kiddie size ironing board when I was younger. I used to fold it up, put it on the floor, balance myself on it and sing to the Beach Boys "Surfin' USA". It was great because the folded legs made the ironing board rock back and forth like I was really surfing.
When I was little, I remember driving with my Dad in his grey Ford LTD listening to AM radio......one song that sticks out is The Doors.....come on baby light my fire.....lol Soooo Puddy, you dont have to defend yourself to me!!

I did not leave out Dr. Kildaire, how could I? Ed Burns (Kookie....) was on a show called 77 Sunset Strip also starring Robert Conrad and Connie Stevens)and always had a pocket comb that he whipped out to keep his coif perfect. Now why can't I remember things that happened yesterday, or where my car keys are???
toninutt
04-21-2005, 01:56 AM
And now I believe my long-term memory is crumbling, I may have confused the casts of two shows - 77 Sunset Strip and Hawaiian Eye. And I finally remembered Dr. Ben Casey's real name - Vince Edwards, but I can't remember Dr. Kildaire's real name but do know he quietly came out of the closet now because that wouldn't have been tolerated way back then...and what does all this have to do with QVC??? Well...former heartthrob Anson Williams now sells that pearl abrasion stuff on the Q. (please forgive the ramblings of this 57 yr. old, my brain is just full of information that doesn't interest anyone else) I'm going to try to go back to sleep now. Have a nice day everyone.
