First of all, I realize I have a problem. My name is Jenna and I am a beauty addict.
Ok, so I have been on this year (ok lifelong) make up binge. But lately it has been out of control. Hazmat out of control. Anywho, I have finally found the most perfect lip color: Nars Orgasm (thanks beekeeper!) The most perfect whatever it is: BE skin rev'r upper. And all sorts of other stuff. So today I went on this mad craze and started pitching all sorts of stuff. Am I insane? Does anyone else do this?

You are not alone.... I buy and buy (searching for miracles, I guess), then maybe once or twice a year, I pitch and pitch. I guess to make room when I buy and buy again.....

It's called Binge and Purge...unlike the medical counterpart, it's good for the body, bad for the wallet and credit cards...LOL
I do it twice a year; before the spring/summer colors come out, then again when the fall/winter colors come out. I look forward to it, too. And now that I have found all my BB Buddies here, it's really necessary to do!

I do it once a year. I think more people should do it just for the sanitation reasons alone.
I also like to group stuff together - reds, nudes, corals, etc. It makes life easier.

I think it's very important (bacteria wise) to pitch old make-up and beauty products. My mother has dozens of old lipsticks that she just won't throw away ... it kind of grosses me out!

The smell of some of my lip products alone knocked me out of my breezies and into my La Perla thong! Sideways! Some of the stuff I never even used! Just want bad, I guess I should have been better at discipline.
I have some happy friends today. The stuff that was was "gifted". Way more fun to give!
I also do this ritual. Just a few months ago I got rid of all my eye shadows and eye liners and updated with new trendy colors. Mascara after a few months, I throw it away. If I get bored with a lipstick, I clean the top and pass it along.....and family and friends are more than happy to get a BR™ hand-me-down!!
I am BR™ and I am a lipstick addict!! LOL
Yeah, I do it but, not so much for bacteria reasons, though, that's an added benefit. I just get sick and tired of stuff! I used to feel guilty about it (I don't have any other friends who are make-up junkies.) until I found other woman like me online, here and other sites, who do the same thing.

I don't do this but you could always buy an artist's paint kit and cut the half used lipsticks off and smoosh them into the individual sections. Make up artists do it and mix their own customized shades. I'm not that motivated. ;p

I figure I spent so many years from my early 20s without makeup on (what can I say? I was busy having and raising babies) that for the past couple of years I have been making up for lost time. Like most baby boomers I have decided that I do not look my age and want to keep it that way!
woo hoo!! You go with your bad-self, Rebel Mom!!
