Did anyone see Trevor's message on Centcom? Here it is:

I have found in my stats recently that visitors from the iraq.centcom.mil server have been reading anti-Iraq War and pro-Iraq War messages on this site. For those who don't know, CENTCOM (Central Command) is the Headquarters for the military in Iraq. So keep posting your good and bad opinions about the Iraq War! --- TVTalkShows.com Webmaster Trevor Rieger (former Iraq War Veteran)

THANK YOU, TREVOR!!!!

Centcom is the U.S. He said 'visitors' so I don't think the government is doing the reading, just internet surfers.

My message is, quit wasting our time and money in that desert. Let our young men and women come home to their families. Is it going to take losing another 65,000 soldiers, like in Vietnam, to finally sink this message into this damn administration's head? You guys screwed up, face it. Trying to mend the broken pieces is too late now

Dr. J, wouldn't your opinion be more valuable if you shared it with the people you are talking about? Posting on this BB (especially QVC) will not do the trick. Trevor is referring to internet surfers that surf several websites. He is not talking about the government.

I marched with Abby Hoffman and Jerry Rubin and was arrested 18 times demonstrating against the Vietnam War--and I feel exactly the same way about our involvement in Iraq. We don't belong there, our money doesn't belong there and our fine young men and women don't belong in body bags.

No wonder the military is having trouble meeting monthly quotas--would you want your son or daughter (or nephew or neighbor) in harm's way over there? You don't have to be a fireman to appreciate the fine work they do; you don't have to be a policeman to understand the sacrifices they make; and it's possible to be partiotic, to love your country without supporting every @@***&& conflict some half-assed, ill-advised (weapons of mass destruction? biological warfare labs?) leader decides to enter.

I say, pull our troops out of Iraq and Afghanistan. Take the millions and millions of dollars that we suddenly found in the budget and help pay for our senior citizens' (many of them war vets, themselves) medicine and food!

I can feel my late father who was a Combat Engineer need to correct something in Trevor's statement.

Former Iraq War Veteran

Trevor may be a former Soldier but will never be a former Veteran that will be with him forever.

On behalf of myself and my late father. Thank you Trevor for your service to our great country.

I'll second that, and would like to add that the animosity I feel towards the current administration and their war is not in any way directed at servicepeople and veterans who have found themselves caught up in it; my fervent wish is that those who are there will make it home alive and whole, and that others will be able to avoid becoming sucked into the quagmire.

Right on, Curvi and Cubsfan! I totally support our soldiers and want them all to come home, the sooner the better. It breaks my heart to see the cream of our young people being sacrificed for someone's political ambitions.

Actually when I first read it I heard my father's voice in my head. You should of heard him criticize M*A*S*H*. My dad was a real stickler when it came to portraying anything in the military accurately. :)

Cubby, great post! I would also like to publicly thank Trevor, and anyone else who has served in the military, for their service and sacrifice. My late father and brother were/are also veterans, so service folks are particularly close to my heart. :)

My husband served in the army, as well as, the army reserves. He is retired now and I am grateful for that.

But those who are serving, including Trevor, deserve our undying respect. It is hard on the familes. They are just doing their jobs, what they have trained their life to do.

Whoa, my bad! My hubby served as a fireman in the Air Force Reserves, and I didn't even count him! He may not have seen any "action", the way my Dad and brother did, but he was there in the event that he was needed. And, as we have all learned, the days of the reserves just being needed "at home" are a thing of the past. :(

We don't have Whataburger in the Chicago area. :(

Cubby,

We don't have Whataburger in the Metro Detroit area either. Actually, I'd never heard of them before seeing it on this BB. We do have a hole-in-the-wall place that was ranked 7th nationally for its burgers called Miller's Bar. De-lish!

Cubsfan - You are a kid compared to me. I'm an older woman, remember?

Yes, it does suck to be YOU! :P

Go to www.whataburger.com to see more about it. They even have a calorie planner so you can figure out your carbs, etc. BEFORE you get there!

Cubsfan will do anything for a Whataburger!

At McDonald's in Australia, they put the nutrition information (calories, fat grams, etc.) right on the wrapper for you to see. I guess just in case you want to stop eating that Big Mac halfway through. :)

Cubby, awww!

Now I'm wondering if Whataburger is more of a regional thing? I guess I just thought they were everywhere.

Not anything for a Whataburger I do have my limits. :)

That's not what you said last night, Cubsfan! You were jonesing BIG time!

Nova - Yes, it is a regional thing. From Texas to Florida and only north to Oklahoma and also in Mexico!

Aussie - That is a good thing to do. In "Super Size Me", many McDonald's did not even have a brochure on the nutrition information to hand out on request.
