seems a bit ironic that she tells people to save their money, open Roth IRAs, and raise their credit score while at the same time encouraging people to buy her DVDs and accordion organization folders with her glossy head shot attached.

At any rate, as Lisa R. said, "If you are at all savvy, every household should have a paper shredder."

In all fairness, Suze tells us to buy the programs and then share it with everyone we care about. No doubt she is making money, there is nothing wrong with that! IMO, she gives good, sound advice for those who know very little about money issues. She's a bit conservative, but in today's global market ... probably not a bad trend!

My husband and I have had our ouw personal accountant for many years and have always been pleased with the results of his advice. On a whim, I sent for some of Suze Orman's materials, and was very surprised to see that they echoed the same advice we had been receiving. I'm not sayin g our advisor/CPA is flawless, but Suze apparently has a fair amount of excellent knowledge and experience. I, too, like the way she encourages you to buy one program and then share the CD with family and friends (many programs feature a serial number on the CD, and you can only use that number with a certain e-mail address, so you can't pass it around).
