View Full Version : Susan Graver vs. Maggie Sweet...Which is the lesser of two evils?

I used to occasionally buy a SG big shirt (when they used to have some freshness and color). I have purchased a couple Maggie Sweet through the years as well and it seems that they both have gotten gaudy and matronly. Daniel isn't as annoying as Susan . She acts like she is on speed sometimes. Maybe she is taking diet pills and that makes her extra hyper. Daniel, on the other hand is kinda monotone and slow going. He is definately not pushy. Which is the lesser of two evils??

Tough call - do we have to chose?

I think that if you are buying the clothes only, minues the personalities of the seller, then I would say that the quality of SG, is a little better than DK.

AS far as the personality, I say its a toss up- Hyper or subdued?

I have bought from neither, but I think you answered the question- Susan is really difficult to watch -listen to, while Daniel is nowhere near as irritating.

Well even though Susan likes to think she is a model at least she shows passion for her line. She appears to enjoy being on QVC with any of the hosts.

Daniel looks like it's a great imposition of his time to even be on HSN. He doesn't show any passion for his stuff. The only host he seems to enjoy is Bill Green then he kicks it up on the emotion meter to above the "Ben Stein" level. :)

Plus all his stuff makes the models look bad. :(

I agree--I don't think any of the models look good in Maggie Sweet clothing, and the hosts (especially Kathy Wolf and Chris Scanlon) look even worse! While Daniel doesn't have the annoying personality that Susan (Look at me! Look at me!) Graver displays, I think her line of clothing looks better. I have never purchased either line, so I can't say how well they wear.

I agree about the passion remark ... another example of this is Joan Rivers ... enthusiastic about her jewelry, Nolan Miller ... just sits there and coughs.

I'm much more inclined to buy from someone who is obviously behind their product!!!

Susan Graver may be annoying, but she loves her designs ... and that means a lot to me as the consumer!

Thanks Cubbie ... it's nice to hear "what looks good" from a man!

As irritating as SG can be, I have to admit her clothing line is becoming more updated. As far as Daniel K. is concerned, he's just plain weird. Put a black cape on him and I'd swear he just lifted the lid of his coffin and came out for the night.

I must say, I bought 2 of Maggie Sweets last TS. I thought they looked pretty good. I received them and both of them were coming apart. The workmanship was just terrible. I don't care for Susan Gravers clothes either. They are so baggie and old looking, I have returned whatever I have bought, but at least her clothes are made well.

You're welcome Beekeeper. :)

It's like the old saying about art I don't know much about it but I know what I like. :)

I could do without either. Susan Graver needs ritalin. I hope someone sneaks her one and Daniel K. needs speed. They both get on my nerves equally.
I ordered a suit from S.G. many moons ago wasn't impressed!
