QVC claims the TSV is a great savings. How convenient for QVC !! Prove it !!
We have no idea what the real original price is. I am sure the TSV price is the original price and the people are being lied to nightly.
I really wish a 60 Minutes expose into the home shopping channels would happen. They all lie about the "original or retail" pricing, especially on the TSV's and This Day Only pricing.
Wake up folks !!
Introductory Prices are also a scam. I have seen items remain at an "introductory price" up to three years. I have monitored some that I purchased & found that they went from straight from "introductory" to "clearance".

You'll notive that the Q and HSN protect themselves nicely by saying that "Of course, prices differ from area to area, and what an item sells for in your city may not reflect our pricing..." How nice. We can all go on guessing just what area these channels let decide their retail, introductory and selling prices.

Did you ever notice that while shopping at Wal-Mart that you may pay a different price for the same item at different locations? The standard answer you get from the empoyees is that the pricing going according to the area.

I don't know ... I bought my Kitchen Aid Mixer at QVC as a TSV (the big one with lift), and I had priced them at the stores ... almost $100 less on QVC!!!

The sad thing is a TSV used to be a good deal. More than once I bought a TSV and saved a bunch of money, even with the shipping. Of course, it has been a while since there was that good a deal offered on the Q...

Bee, I couldn't touch that exact Kitchen Aid anywhere in my area for the QVC price, either, and that's where we got ours.

QVC should be more like HSN when it comes to the S&H. At least HSN offers free S&H on their TS alot as compared to QVC. Seems HSN offers alot more free S&H on more of the items.

Illinois, I am back, and I had a wonderful time, thank you! It's always the best of times when we can visit family members who don't live near us. Thank you so much for asking, that was really sweet of you!

Remember, nothing beats a grass seed TSV. Except for the toaster bags. In defense of the toaster bags though: They were from England and products like that are popular over there. The question still remains: What dolt decided to bring them to the US QVC?
As for Wal-Mart - OMG are you right about the price differences! For Father's Day I bought an electric razor by Braun. Over a $10.00 difference between two Wal-Mart stores and the stores were less than one hour driving time from each other.
Like anything else, it's buyer beware. QVC does have good deals on some things and not so good deals on other items. Kitchen Aid mixers are a good example. You can save hundreds on a mixer at QVC and of course, don't forget Philosophy and BE!
