Is anybody watching the auditions for a new lead singer for INXS. I love, love, love it! It's kind of like American Idol but the singers are so much better and any critiques from the band so far have been helpful and not demeaning (like Simon). I wasn't necessarily a HUGE fan of INXS before but I'm getting into them.

golfwidow,

I'm watching it (bloody hell, how man times is it on a week?), and I like it too. I saw INXS in 1991, and they were fantastic. So far I think a few of the singers stand out (can't remember their names; not familiar enough with them yet). I'm a chick, but I totally cannot see a girl being the lead singer.

It's almost a double-edged sword for the contestants. If they're too much like Michael Hutchence, then people will say they're trying too much to be like Michael Hutchence. If they're nothing like him, people will say they're not enough like them.

Personally, I think Constantine from American Idol would do really well with them (after voice lessons). I think he's got the same type of charismatic personality as Michael Hutchence and same sort of style. Oh well, that's not going to happen.

Last Friday night on VH1 Classic, they had on one hour of different INXS concert performances from all over the world. They were talking to the members of the band in between songs, too. WOW, Michael Hutchence was such a talent. It's a real shame that he committed suicide, especially for his daughter.

I'm watching it, too. I have loved INXS since the 80's. I agree about the talent of the singers, they make most of the Idol finalists look really sad.

I think I heard they are going to replay Tuesday night right after Big Brother this Saturday. I may record it!

I agreed with Wil going home last night. BEAUTIFUL man but just didn't have a lot of energy.

I don't think Tara has a strong enough voice to front the band.

Suzie was AWESOME last night.

Deanna J (little blonde with a HUGE voice) has really impressed me.

I like Jordis (St.Paul - local girl) Very Unique and Heart Shaped Box by Nirvana has to be a VERY difficult song to sing.

I Loved JD Fortunes arrangement of California Dreaming. That was impressive.

Brandon has good energy and I also like TY.

Heather is very funky and I liked her much better the second night compared to the first.

Neal (I think) is Mick Jaegger's (sp?) long lost son or grand son ;0

Now looking back at this I think I need to get a hobby!!!

golfwidow, I'm glad someone else is watching it. And you already do have a hobby...it's watching QVC! Feel better now? LOL

I watched it for the first time last night. I'm glad Suzie got to stay on.

Sunshine, I am so mad at myself because I missed it last night! Was the guy they booted off the cute one from NC? He's adorable, but sort of mechanical on stage. Some of the others have so much energy, it really showed up his lack of it!

Hi Novalee: Yes, that's the one. I wish I had seen every episode.

Saw this show last night ... wow, I could get hooked, but I think it is on way too often!

I'm rooting for Brandon.

Ty creeps me out, but he does have a good voice.

Suzie has GORGEOUS teeth!!!

It is addictive, bee.

Jordis has a phenomenal voice. I though they all did really well last night, especially compared to last week. J.D. is good, but he was acting too cocky a couple of weeks ago. He's toned things down now. Marty totally rocks.

I'm not that fond of Tara or Jessica. I just don't think they have IT, whatever that is.

As a long-time fan, the only ones I could see at this point would be J.D. or Marty. The others have talent, but I can't see them fronting that band. I agree that it's a great show!
