I don't know if I have too much time on my hands because I am a teacher on vacation, but I happened to be viewing today's DOD and I was disturbed by two things.
First, there was a woman selling these straps to keep your shoes on--they were very odd. Good old Patti Cakes was there talking about her "cankles" and that even she could wear them. Why would you need that?
Secondly, there was this highly disturbing groupon called "Era Nova." I hope someone else saw this. It was a group of people playing instruments dressed like they were from the colonial era--wigs and all. I am going to need therapy after that!

I missed the show, thankfully. I don't understand the strap thing you mentioned either. If your shoes are falling off, get a smaller size shoe ----
Sorry Teets, I missed the show. I have to research those straps, how odd is that??

L-4718 TeetsNeets, it looks like they are so mules don't flop around and stay put on your foot. I would never buy something like this. If mules don't stay on, just don't buy them:
Keep those mules secure with these adjustable straps. Made from clear plastic, this accessory fits around the heel of your shoe and your ankle. They even work with pantyhose and socks. Each has a fashionable pattern to keep you in style. Set of two.
Adjusts up to and over a size 10 mule.

That group of Amadeus-wanna-bes was disturbing. Give me the real thing anyday. They reminded me of Manheim Steamroller - just f***ing up really good classic music is all they do.
The strappy thingies were L A M E!
Also, did anyone see the lady selling the religious pendant? She cried when it sold out. I thought the shadow it made looked more like Jerry Garcia than Jesus. Jee-zus!
"Cankles"...very funny!

puddy,
I also saw the religious lady bawling! You'd have thought she won an Oscar, for Pete's sake. I was embarassed for her. When I saw the pendant, I actually thought it looked like Alice Cooper with his makeup on.

I said Jerry Garcia because it looked chubbier than Alice and I got a psychedelic vibe from it. You are correct about Alice and the make up though. LOL!
I sorry but I thnk the whole necklace thing was a farce. She was playing to people's faith and that is selling snake oil to me. She claimed that a friend told her to shine a light through the pendant as if she did not know what the shadow was going to look like! Duh! It was DESIGNED to do that, ya big faker.

It had a Jim Bakker/Jimmy Swaggart vibe, not a spiritual feeling at all. :(
