I have owned many systems in my lifetime currently I am a Playstation 2 owner. I like the sports games mostly but I do like games like Red Dead Revolver and Ghost Recon too. I like G4TV but I could do without the stupid Sunday night car sliding competion shows.

I went to Blockbuster and bought NCAA Football 2005. It's a fun game but buying games at Blockbuster means they won't always include the instruction manual. But the game itself has the controller configuration so that's good. :)

My boyfriend has Madden 2005 (is that the latest one? bc he has the latest one), and he seems to like it. He took a day off of work to play it, then a few days later his friend did the same. It's amazing how real the game looks.

I am happy w/my Game Boy. I wanted to add my two cents to this thread bc I was just playing Mario Kart. LOL. Okay, I will leave this thread to the serious video game players ! :)

If you go to other boards they have OT (Off Topic) threads too. It's not unusal. You may not remember the board over a year ago. The HSN board was basically a ghost board. They had topics on the first page that were almost a year old and the newest ones were up there for almost a week since someone posted on them. Let alone never even coming close to multiple pages. This board was never going to even come close to rivaling the QVC board.

It seems Judgement Day is now a casualty by the new and not improved G4. Tommy Tallarico and Victor Lucas were IMO the Siskel and Ebert of Video Game reviewers. Only funnier. Unlike X-Play who seem like they have to not only put in politcal remarks during the reviews. They also seem that they are ashamed to be doing only video game reviews with their college education. So they come across at times as looking down on the average gamer. Tommy and Vic didn't have that attitude they knew that at the end of the day these were games and they not only loved playing them but getting paid to do so.

Spike TV has two video game shows on after TNA wrestling. The second is hosted by fomer G4 employee Geoff Knighley. Their OK not as good as Judgement Day and X-Play IMO.

Major League Baseball 2K6 is getting not favorable previews from some people saying that they haven't upgraded some of the looks from last years game. Bats are too long and according to one they still throw like girls was his comment.

The commercials for MLB '06 The Show look like last years MLB 2006 (989 Sports always has there games named a year ahead). Something must be different because by the agreement of all the consoles especially the sports games has to have at least one difference to separate it from the previous years version.

If anyone has EA's MVP 2005 they had a roster update for the game. EA has found a loophole to the 2K exclusive third party license. They can't create new players who will appear on MLB rosters. But, they still can use players who appeared in at least 1 MLB game last year.

On G4 during the E3 shows EA has come out with a game called Rock Band. It is their version of Guitar Hero. 4 players can play one guitar, bass, drums and vocals. You can buy the equipment separately. It looks like it could be a fun game IMO.

The new Manhunt 2 game is banned in England because of the extreme violence. You go around trying to kill people in different ways and that doesn't fly in the UK at least according to G4 last week.

If anyone has PS3 MLB The Show is a fun and great looking game. My buddy has it and he is just started the Cubs franchise and Wrigley Field looks beautiful. The game is fun and easy to pick up and play. The best baseball game in recent years since 2K games bought the rights and only allowed only Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo the right to make there own baseball games.

The new Madden game is supposed to have better AI with if you a good at one aspect of the game such as running but not good at passing the game will make it harder for you to run and make you pass. Thus becoming better at all facets of the game.

Has anyone bought Madden 09? Ever since EA has bought exclusive rights to the NFL, eliminating competion like Sega and their $19.99 game prices, I have been leary of them no competion means games may suffer. To have a game they can call completely new all the companies have to do is change 1 thing in the game. It could be anything then it can considered completely different from the older games.

E3 came and went this week showing a new controller for the PS3 to rival the Wii's no word when it's coming out. God of War 3 is going to be the final installment in the series. Madden is going to feature gang tackling this year. Kofi Kingston was at E3 but little was mentioned about the upcoming Raw vs. Smackdown.

I had the pleasure last week to finally play Rock Band at my friends house and it is a very fun game. My buddy also bought through the PS3 store some extra songs. Now I stayed on the Easy level but it was fun playing and even with my bad singing made it a fun game.

I bought Guitar Hero 5 and with it I was able to get an early release of Guitar Hero: Van Halen. Both games are great but with Van Halen you get Wolfgang on bass instead of Michael Anthony. Classic Van Halen is unlockable along with classic Wolfgang. It's very interesting seeing a zygote playing bass. LOL
