It might just be me. But I swear there was palpabable tension between Lisa and Sheila during the cutaways last night. She was kind of cold( Lisa) short and all business. No cute exchanges, no funny stories, no sharing of cake or whatever. Now I might be "seeing" things in my head and there is nothing there. But it seemed odd to me. What do y'all think?

I meant to bring this up when I got a minute to post; I saw the same thing. During the D. Basso show Lisa definitely seemed to be abrupt in her exchanges with Sheila. No chitchat at all, no big "love love love" smile when the camera came back to her... it was subtle, but noticeable.

I am glad to know it wasn't just me. Didn't want to be accused of "Lisa bashing". (I moonlight over on the Q boards and those women scare me). I noticed that when Jill was on with Lisa. There seems to be no love lost there either.

HHI Girl, I noticed the tension and coldness between Sheila and Lisa right away too. And I was changing channels and only had QVC on for only a few minutes and didn't even get to see the whole scene. Ummmmmm........

Noticed it too. She didn't go over to Sheila set. Just all business.

Caught Sheila most of last night but missed her exchange with Lisa R. on Lisa R's show. Nothing said Lisa R. had to walk over to Sheila's set to visit. Obviously Lisa tolerates Sheila very well. Lisa R. could have tried to sue QVC for hiring another hostess who looked like her, wore her hair like her and dresses like her. So Sheila must have been hired with Lisa R's ok. On this next point (which I don't take too seriously myself) maybe Lisa R. was too embarressed to stand full body next to Sheila when the latter badly dressed so disco style. Sheila admitted she got bad comments from the crew about dressing something like John Travolta in Saturday Night Fever. It was a really lousy set of clothes (save for Sheila's sandals which happily showed her bare toes).

Maybe Lisa and Sheila had a falling out during their trip to Italy. Sheila went as a stand-in and maybe was put out because she never got to stand-in!

Maybe Lisa just saw the movie Single White Female (where the psycho roommate makes herself look like the star of the movie). LOL

Sheila doesn't look like Lisa R!!!
Lisa R. is pretty and has a great body.
Sheila has a messed up jaw, gross skin and she's too skinny, even with the messed up lip Lisa is a million times better looking than Sheila will ever be.

I agree with you Marco. I think Lisa is gorgeous. For the newbies here that think I have a Lisa vendetta. Go back and read my older posts. I have always dug her and defend her most of the time. After all, I am a Roberston also.
In the beginning I thought Sheila resembled Lisa. Now I don't see it as their personalities are so distinctly different.

Maybe Sheila raided Lisa's white pants closet and didn't get them cleaned before returning them? :)

HHI - I noticed it immediately. I had to chip the ice off of the television screen. A little posturing was definitely going on. Say what you want to about Lisa - She's the original and Shelia is Lisa Lite.

I have used this movie as a comparision of Patti copying Lisa. Now we have Sheila as a Lisa-wannabe?? Can't anyone be original anymore? I wonder if Lisa likes the other hosts copying her? I used to have a co-worker that copied things I did or wore. It used to piss me off!

I had a co-worker do the same thing. I am talking about going out at lunch time and BUYING eye shadow or nail polish to match mine and actually putting it on for the second half of the day! Not even waiting until the next day was creepy. :O

I had staff that used to do that. It was always slightly uneasy when I realized what they were doing.

Go the QVC forum and the beauty topic. They have a huge long thread dedicated to just this topic. I just there was another display of "frosty" on air last night.

Hi Jenna, :-)
I just went over & read most of the posts on the QVC board.
It doesnt say anywhere what the problem is between the two of them.
There is a lot of speculation though.
Do you have any idea why?

09-19-2005, 10:37 AM
Hi Paula!
I honestly have no idea when the 'Canadian Cold front" swept through QVC vis a vis Sheila and Ms. Lisa. I just "saw" the tension one night. I think Puddy commented that it might have something to do with someone not liking sharing the spotlight or something happened on their Italy trip. Now, I am not starting any rumors but maybe that is how Lisa got her fat lip! just kidding!

LOL.... Lisa's fat lip....
I remember you saying that about that trip to Italy. If I remember right, didnt Sheila come back a lot earlier than Lisa? And she was on the air and Lisa was still over there?
HHIgirl

That is a good question. I can't remember the timeline. I was actually going out and having a bit of fun this summer!
Geez, I am so wrapped up in nothing more than retail rumorland. Which I escaped from YEARS ago. But here I am perpetrating rumours that are better left alone. Oy! I oughtta get me head examined.

The only reason I remember is that I wake up early for work, and I saw Sheila on, and on the Monday nights PM Style, Lisa was gone for quite awhile...
Allright, I will now step aside the rumor wagon...

Indicating that i do not have a life, I add that Lisa had her family fly to Italy for a vacation after the Italian jewelry shows. Then she took even more time off B4 returning to air. That is my recollection.

I think I heard her say at the end of PMS last night that she would be off on vacation again.

Something that I like about Lisa is that she is so family oriented, always talking about her parents , sisters, nieces, nephews. She loves her niece and nephew. Hope she has a child of her own i think she'll be a good mom. I'm also sure something big is going on between Sheila and Lisa. Maybe Sheila is trying to be on Lisa's face all the time or be her friend or maybe a crush!!!! on Lisa ?????? just kidding!!!. Only they know...

Oy vey! Vacation again for Lisa? Well, I guess they're not allowed too much time off for the three-month holiday shopping season. Mark your calendars boys and girls - Countdown to Christmas is coming this Sunday!
Here's a little Lisa story from last night's PMS, for those of you that missed it. A caller was on the line and she stated her name and that she was from California. She actually said "This is so-and-so from California, if you care". Lisa laughed and said "I do care. I just come across as cold and insensitive". Then she went on with the conversation. It was really funny and Lisa handled it great. She really seems to have a good sense of humor and can be self-depreciating at times, just like a real person ;)

Did anyone see Lisa R last night during the Turquoise show? Was it me or did she seem more jittery than normal? It was like she drank 10 cups of coffee before she went on. She was showing Turquoise heart earrings early in the show and kept shaking them all over the place, not that I wanted a good look at them or anything. Then she seemed like she was talking non stop. Just an observation.

Hi Garnet :)
I saw Lisa briefly last night. She did seem really "wired" or something. I was watching when she took a phone call and started telling her own story about some guy that got mad at her in a parking lot. Then she finally let the caller talk. Maybe she had too many Mountain Dews or something.

LOL I had NO idea where to post this comment either. Most all of the Lisa threads are dedicated to her feet. I figured this was the safest thread to post on :)

My sister-in-law did that to me for years; same clothes, same fragrance, even the same furniture /window treatments in her house.....the straw that broke the proverbial camel's back though, was her naming her daughter (born only ten months after mine) almost the same name I chose for MY daughter.
After that..she started using her daughter to copy......every Christmas, she'd have her little girl's photo taken in a dress almost identical to the one my daughter wore the year before.
Drove me MAD.

And I thought I was the only one this happen to - my husband's sister does the same thing, including naming her son the EXACT name as our son who's 10 years older... given name AND nickname. That frosts me to no end. Whenever I call her on it she just claims that we have "similar taste". Yeah, right!

My brother's first wife (he's on number 3) did that to me. The same color scheme, furniture, window treatments, clothes...even down to the same Christmas decorations, too. Everything! I wonder why people do that?

Talk about reaching a new frontier in insecurity - you have to wonder if any of these folks (and they all seem to be female) ever had an independent idea in their entire lives.

I breifly saw her on and then changed the channel. She did mention herself that she was a bit wired that night! She said something to the fact that she had too much caffine before coming on air and then chuckled about it.

Oh Bee~ more times that you can count , but she is the type of person who is extremely NON- confrontational, so when I would confront her she would only act as if she had no clue as to what I was talking about.
Things got so much worse that now we don't even speak to one another.
She has a lot of issues with me. For what reason, I have no idea.
For the sake of our girls,I wrote a letter to ask her "forgiveness" and if we could please just move on.........life is too short etc.....but it was ignored...I have tried to go to her home and she doesn't let me in.
It's a very sad situation~ and one of which I could probably write a book about....lots of "you cannot believe this one" stories........;o

Maybe this is posted somewhere else by now but "friend" is back, after saying the previous was a one time post. Sounds even creepier. NM thread, about a "QVC sponsored vacation" and our friend who is now on a real vacation. Has someone notified QVC about it? Sorry if this is cryptic but it is intentional, in this case.

lacalgirl3 : message understood.
here's one for you: Take a deep breath and yell.
Who cares?
Lisa R. does not.
sniffles he's OUT of her life.
She abandoned him when he needed her the most!
and he can "never" be with her, even if she leaves QVC/Pennsylvania.
Because he'll be arrested again, regardless.
Now she can be an "old maid" on QVC.
Alone and "shallow".
as for him????
you will never know!
She choose their path: "alone together, but far apart".
Even though they BOTH "still" care about one another.
AND "Only she" can make it right.
which we doubt she will.
he still has faith in a miracle.
