New Season...Any Changes?

Anyone think that Live! will be a little bit different when they come back?

By different, I mean a set change, a different opening graphic or tune. Maybe a somewhat different way they interview guests--I'm thinking the couch grouping they had all those years ago--remember, they would often move there to interview some guests.

I'm hoping for a new set, personally. I never liked this one, lol.

Hi G, Yup, many changes. Jessica Simpson is replacing Kelly..... Regis is only gonna work 2 days a week, and Diddy is gonna be his replacement. Sorry Susan, but Gelman is being 'done' by Don Rickles. Art Moore is retiring, and Trump is 'doing' him.

Set is gonna be Disco ... Kelly is gonna start show with Donna sommers hit 'I Will Survive' .. so you will definitely get your fill of the 'Disco Queen' ..Kelly

Unfortunately (or fortunately), there aren't many changes lined up for Live this year as far as I know. The trivia wheel is changing (again), but that's about it.

I wouldn't mind a set change though either...that'd be a nice change! But please...not that "house" type setting that Regis & Kathie Lee had years ago!

Hmmm, maybe Kelly will get her wish and get Regis' position behind the desk. That is her 'best side,' you know. Oh geeze, I'm joking but wouldn't it be a hoot if she did really get that side? lol

It would be nice to see a set change.....maybe the stools will be replaced? Heaven only knows how many times Regis had his fingers squeezed between the two arm rests. lol

Enough about set changes........what about 'physical' changes? What could have been done to a face and be able to bounce back in two weeks? lol You can be sure I'll have my magnifying glasses out. <wink>

randk, I don't remember a "house type setting" years ago? Reege and KL always came out and sat in chairs/stools, yes? With some couches to the left?

I don't know what it'll be, but I'm thinking Gelman will do a bit of tweaking. Hope it's not too much, Reege does not do chameleon well, lol.

I've always like the current set! It's much nicer than that old one, which was so ugly. lol

As far as changes this season..........Hhhhm. I doubt it. In terms of the set, opening, etc. maybe, but in terms of content----unfortunately no. I have a sinking feeling it will be the same old stuff----out of control, horrible, Kelly and "phoning-it-in", exasperated Reege. And Gelman with his nervous laughter every five minutes--lol. It's too bad, but I'm realy not looking forward to this new season too much! I hope I'm wrong!

Speaking of Kathie Lee.........a week or so and we'll be able to catch her on the Insider. Looks good.

I'm really looking forward to KL on the Insider too. Poor Coju--saw him the other night and he is very swollen. Funny as ever though. Read a blurb about them filming promos for the new season today or tonight, I think.

Doubt it. Wrinkles are too deep and a head transplant would not be considered a "simple" procedure.

In my opinion, the show could do with a few changes, but I don't think Regis can handle more than a couple of format changes at a time. lol Considering that after hostchat/newschat the show is entirely different each morning, a big altering of the beginning might just throw Regis off his game......and we don't want that.

I do agree that the set could do with an overhaul...nobody likes those stools except for Gelman........why not go back to something comfy, like on Ellen?

The trivia caller was funny today, and I liked her suggestion to do away with the confetti. It has been done enough.

Love the Insider promos for KL..hysterical. I think it is a good fit for her.

Forget where I read it, probably in line somewhere, but this gig is supposed to open the door for a reality show for the Giffords. Don't know how much truth to that; maybe BigKLGfan can post and let us know if there's a kernal of truth to that.

Hi Dani......yes, I am really looking forward to Ellen.....it's be reruns of her for almost 3 months. I did get to see a few shows I missed though...which was nice. She is hosting the Emmys again this year, which should be fun.

Regis, will change hair color to 'tweety bird yaller'~~~ Wrinkles, will be covered by a professor like beard..and sideburns like..??? nuffin you have ever seen!!
Wardrobe will consist of low rise jeans... white shirt and bow tie!! Oh.. penny loafers on his 'pretty feet'

Kelly will change her hair color to red, sport a very short pixie style doo..with a new hat every day, cause there has been no hat made that she doesn't look good wearing.
Her wardrobe will be a navy blue uniform with a white shirt, like a Catholic School girl...she will be prim and proper and teach us a new word every day during 'school chat'. Her footwear will be sturdy oxfords.

Gelman will sport newly acquired tatoos..bulging biceps...his attire will be 'Bad Boy'..will be touted by Tommy Lee, who will be a frequent guest. cause he will dig the new academic venue of show.


Art Moore will wear Monk Robes as he will be the disciplinarian . More ideas? Hi V , off to beach..summer will end , but beach is for always.

about changes to LIVE...hmmm....well...I don't know if there will be any Major changes...but this is what I would LOVE to see changed....*smile

1. I would LOVE to see the show EXTENDED to an Hour and a half...*smile...a full half hour for Chat alone...

2. Let the Viewers vote on what segments or full shows we like to see when our Regis and Kelly go on vacation...during these vacations periods...let there be a segment where viewers get to see what Gelman does with the audience during Breaks and before the show....let see the Green Room on seperate screens at intervals so we can see what the celeb guest are doing or drinking...*giggles...

3. have more "daring bets" between Regis and Kelly...and let Joy or Mark choose the consequences...*giggles.....


that is all for now...*giggles....wouldn't these be great changes? especially the first one... oh! best change would to have Joy and Kathie Lee and Mark guest cohost on a regular basis....with a sprinkling of other celebs cohosting...
