I use many Philosophy skin care products and wouldn't trade them for the world. BUT, Cristina seems like she's "talking down" to people and comes off as a "know it all". Today, on the Buzz on Beauty", after she made her presentation, she looked like she wished she could be anywhere other than where she was.
Comments, anyone?

Agree!!

She seems to have such an attitude that "I am better than you". Her tone is very harsh.

Trilby, Read the thread titled "Day of Beauty 9-17-05" posted by Shellie. I just put some comments about Christina there. There may be other comments as well.

I saw that too...I think she is a very insecure person deep down inside. She comes across as very uppity, but she is very troubled...mpo!!!

I noticed she was all in black today, instead of all white. She has a weight problem & that hair has got to go. I'm sorry to be so critical, but she gets on my last nerve. Also, working with motor mouth Patti is enough to make someone wish she wasn't there. We had JRT & Patti back to back today...I think that is extreme punishment for anyone.

I do like her Amazing Grace products, but I noticed I break out in Hives on my face when I use When "Hope is not Enough". Also, does anyone else notice that the fragrances don't stay with you all day, unless you keep putting them
on.

I know what you mean about Cristina Carlino having that 'holier than thou' attitude (I like and use her products, too), but I thought she was pretty gracious today on the Buzz on Beauty. I couldn't believe she was handing out compliments to the Tarte lady (bought her product but can't remember her name) and Peter Coppola. Yes, she usually finds a way to insult other vendors' products in the process of touting her own. Maybe it was the cheezy 'lovefest' atmosphere of the Buzz. Who knows. :)

jasmine, the only Grace fragrance that stays with me is the Baby Grace, and I have the alcohol-free one. I think that's the reason it stays on. I wish the other two were alcohol free also. I do have the solids in the State of Grace Trio, and I layer them and it's a little bit better. I think I'm going to try Tova, as some of the posters here said if I like Amazing Grace, I will probably like Tova, too. I just hope it stays on better

I think she's a bit uppity and she reminds me of my sister who is snobby. I think it does have something to do with insecurity somewhere. I have noticed, too, that she always mentions her "cosmoceutical" medical product background, which seems like an underhanded putdown to the cosmetic vendors sitting there on the Buzz set.
I like her fragrances, too but I ordered the Tova set the other day to see how it compares.

Aussie, where can we purchase the alcohol free AG? I would be interested. Thanks.

She was on with Mary Beth last night and at the beginning of a presentation for something she cut MB off and said "...we have to be quick because there's not a lot of time." That's Mary Beth's line! She went on to monopolize the presentation like she always does. MB just stood there saying nothing for the next 30 seconds.

GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR I saw this too.....she was extra snobby last night, for some reason. Mary Beth just doesn't deserve that sort of treatment.
I love Philosophy too, but Ms Carlino needs to invent a new product for her line and call it................... " attitude adjustment"....and use it herself !

Cristina told MaryBeth that she is menopausal and has started the patches.
C.C. said that she just started wearing them today (meaning 9-17-05).

Hi Green I's, as far as I know, there is no alcohol-free Amazing Grace, just alcohol-free Baby Grace. I know what you mean about being interested in the alcohol-free AG. I think it would stay on much better, too.

The "Grace" smells are nice, as is the "Falling In Love". But, I agree, NONE of them have staying power. You have to keep applying! I do LOVE the "Falling In Love Lotion", and the lotion scent stays with you longer than the Cologne. IMO

P.S. Hi Missy!

I think this Christina looks like Kerin the model. I said before I ever saw Christina that Kerin looks Italian and I think Christina is Italian. as for Christina's attitude confident but with good moments of friendliness too.

Sorry, but I must disagree. In my opinion, calling Cristina "confident" is being too kind. To me she comes across as a bit bossy and superior.
