View Full Version : Rush On Broadway

I know what most of you are thinking & no it's not the legendary rock trio who is going to be on broadway. Legendary talk radio host Rush Limbaugh will on the broadway stage tomorrow night in NYC with a show called Rush On Broadway which I think is cheesy. I have to admit I did listen to Rush for about 13 years on my local radio station but I was never a hardcore dittohead. Limbaugh shouldn't do this because it makes him look silly & his hardcore listeners won't take him too seriously anymore. Even though his critics call him a right wing nut because he pisses off far left whining liberals with his politically incorrect opinions with lots of attitude. RL makes more sense when it comes to politics on issues & outcomes more than Don Imus who is the biggest hypocrite of all time & Al Franken who has only about 10 or 20 people listening to him. His critics think by cutting him down constantly will make him lose his ratings when it seems to give him more because of their whining stupidity like DNC Chairman Howard Dean. Rush On Broadway is ludicrous to begin with which wil make him lose some credibility with his listeners but not as much as his critics would like.

It's just going to be Rush ranting & raving as usual like he does on his show but I think it's cheesy which will make him lose a little credibility with his hardcore fans no matter if it's for victims of Katrina.

This is a one-night-only stint. It sold out within 20 MINUTES of originally being announced. Somewhere between 1800 and 2000 dittoheads will be there tonite. It will Not diminish his reputation.

Good one, Sparks!

I was also "in the mood" for Hemispheres or By-Tor and the Snow Dog...

You know the far left whining liberals hate it that Rush soldout in 20 minutes when Don Imus couldn't sellout McDonalds.

He won't lose any credibility with those that "follow" him. He could plow his car at 60 mph thru a room full of elderly in wheelchairs, they would find some way to justify it!

He's safe--it's hard to lose credibility where there's none to start with.

Like I keep saying, it's a sad world when people get their information from blowhards like that.

Just like Ted Kennedy?

Well, Ted and Rush are both substance abusers, but Ted is hardly the spokesperson for those of us on the left who have a brain.

I suppose we could name names and go tit-for-tat indefinitely, but my hunch is I could out-tit Abbey's tat with one arm tied behind my back...

Oooooh, Jas, you just opened Pandora's Box. And who Would be the spokeperson for those on The Left who have a brain ~~~ Bill Clinton ??

Kennedy is God to far left liberals like yourself no matter what he says since it's the holy political truth.

Believe it or not, I'm not a big fan of Bill Clinton. I like Bill Richardson, NM Gov., Ed Rendell, PA Gov. & Gene Taylor, congressman from Mississippi.

They seem to be decent guys that care about people aren't beholden to corporations.

You seem to be confusing the Democrats with the Far Left, Abbey and Cat. They're not even close to being the same thing.

There is room for all of us, left politically or right politically, on this board, and that's what makes it SO great !! To Each His/Her Own.

Cat-Lady

Curvi, you are right ~~~ the Far Left and main-line Demos are not the same. For one thing, the Far Left does not get itself elected. Too controversial, among other things.

My deepest apologies, Abbey, but I'm putting twenty bucks on Curvi.

Abbey, my best advice to you . . . RUN! Run like the wind, lol! :-)

That's true, and there are plenty of other places to talk about politics. It's hard not to think about what awaits our kids and grandkids with what's currently going on.

It's just funny that Abbey starts this thread, ribbing Rush, and when others go along with it ... we get pushed down this "attack" road of left v/s right ...

Jas, how true how true !! I have 3 grandchildren and I cannot bring myself to envision what awaits them. Much too scary ...... I am afraid for them but canot influence what will be 20 or more years hence.

I know, I get all defensive when someone picks on Jon Stewart, and can't stand it when Ted Kennedy is named as one of my heroes. I am definitely not a far-left liberal by any means, and I haven't drank any Kool-Aid.

Abbey may have been "ribbing" Rush, but two references to "whining" liberals gets my hackles up. It's hard for a thread that starts off like that not to get political.

They just played near here (Norfolk) so we saw them last year but I'd love to see them w/ bells & whistles, on Broadway ... . But, oh no! Politics ... . (LA-CA is scared, pulls covers up over her head & whimpers).

NB: Inconsistencies found due to careful reading, good memory and search for inconsistencies- I'm not SURE if I could get there but I'd maybe give it a shot, depending on the date ... . But it isn't THAT Rush.

RE: Rush Limbaugh, ..... no comment ... .

Rush is paid tens of millions a year by corporate advertisers to tell the American middle class how great they have it under the Republicans, while their jobs are leaving for India or China, their medical premiums are rising out of sight and they're paying almost $3/gal for gas. Not to mention the hundreds of billions we're pouring into Iraq while our own infrastructure crumbles. But not to worry, we can borrow a few billion more from China and keep spending like there's no tomorrow. It's the "New Conservatism" - spend now and let your grandchildren pay later. Yes, folks, things couldn't be better!

Geez, no wonder the rest of the world is laughing at us.

I'm not a card carrying Republican or Democrat because I have more sense than most but I am an Independent who can think for himself along with not being a Bush apologist like Rush Limbaugh or a Bill Clinton apologist like Barbra Streisand. I think Rush knows what he's talking about most of the time with his political rantings which is why liberal Democrats get pissed off so easy. I'm not a hardcore dittohead at all even though I did listen to his show for 13 years starting in 92 & never bought his books or any other political book for that matter. Rush On Broadway will be a huge success with tickets selling out in 20 minutes I have heard even though it's cheesy & he will lose a little credibility with his fans, but not too much. I don't care what most of you think of RL, positive or negative, but it seemed to me some of you were attacking me as well for some reason.

Since you "have more sense than most", shouldn't you be able to figure out why?
