BR, the reason Patti should not go behind the scenes is she is, for starters physically she is very beautiful and sexy just to look at. Two, she has a great, warm, benevolent, sensitive and Holy air about her. Three (as if those two reasons aren't enough) she gets along very nicely with just about everyone whose on camera at QVC. A true gem she is the best one they have.

BR, a little more about this. The men are expendable as QVC hosts and could all go behind the scenes instead. The only woman who should go behind the scenes instead (and only if a woman positively had to) would be Carolyn Gracie. Caroline is probably never going to build enough of a cult following with viewers to matter that much. I said in another post I think the Q never had too many plans for her anyway. She's just to fill in air time. She alone of the ladies wouldn't be too missed if they sent her back there. Back to God's Gift Patti Reilly in a few more sentences. Watching Bonnie Johnson only very occasionally come on and sell Genie I thought beauty Bonnie was now just behind the scenes at Q. I later learned that she actually works for the company that makes Genie. But when I did think that Bonnie was now behind the scenes at Q I was very sad. Bonnie was too great to watch just to be shoved behind the scenes at Q. Knowing that Patti was sadly just behind the scenes it would seem the triple and then some tragedy it was when I thought Bonnie was. Both are beauties but Bonnie doesn't have Patti's incredible Holy air about her. And Bonnie wasn't as popular when she was on as Patti is now. So no Patti Reilly would not be good behind the scenes at Q. She should stay on camera there.

The same explanation I gave for Marybeth Rowe (to honestly have at home all the products she advertises) can be applied to God's Gift Patti Reilly in her claim to have the products she's advertising. The explanation is, again, they are given a sample of the product (to take home) that they are to advertise in a few weeks.

Thank you for writing that your impression of Vicki L. is merely an "opinion" since I don't see how you can possibly know he/she is harmless, (unless of course you ARE Vicki L, which I doubt).

I am of the opinion that Vicki L. is not harmless but, like Tweetypie, think he/she/it is merely out to disrupt the BB by her/his ridiculous and constant harping on women's feet, seeking a negative reaction from posters (in other words, troll). I'm not so sure Vicki L. even romotely has a foot fetish, but instead might simply want us to react with horror/disgust/revulsion at his/her comments about women's feet.

But yes, LA-CAgirl, you are certainly entitled to your opinion as are the other posters. You may also opine that people who question some of your posts are "angry" or have "chips on their shoulders" when they merely wonder about some of the things you write.

Personally, H, I have seen you disrupt the BB for more individuals than Vicki has, but I am sure you would take issue with that, as would other posters who have not had "run ins" with your posts. OMG, Tweetiepie ~ Read my 'Thanksgiving 2005' post. I won't tell you to look at particular posts or to ask other particular posters, but there are those who have had problems w/ that individual. I am not all that liberal but when all this came up, I did some research about the foot fetish thing and since it usually develops in childhood and is often an outcome of abuse, I do try to extend every kindness. As far as harming folks ... do your own research if you care. I honestly do not see an attempt to hijack or dismay other posters by Vicki but I could just be missing it. "Curioser and curiouser". When I first read this phrase, from the same person several months ago directed, very critically, at a very nice poster on this BB, I thought it sounded weird. A rather unusual "Alice in Wonderland" wording. Anyone else remember that thread? Maybe I can find it again and bump. You don't actually use the word "liar", to either of us, Hershey. Cunning and safer. On the "Thanksgiving 2005" thread, it is that my postings have "discrepancies". However, I believe most posters will remember that my discrepancies were "pre-diagnosis" and "post-diagnosis". Odd to want to go there again and say I left questions unanswered. Maybe your memory is NOT all you claim it to be.

I don't think there's anything wrong with liking Patti, that's your taste and your choice. I like Jon Stewart, The Rock, Tony Shalhoub, etc. but I wouldn't call any of them "God's Gift" (well maybe The Rock, just kidding)

Thanks for the info Putbeds. I actually haven't seen a movie with The Rock except "Walking Tall" and thought it was ridiculous. I never really noticed that he was attractive until I saw him on The Daily Show and was impressed by his personality and charm. I had no idea that he was a former football player or wrestler.

If you know the story of Joan of Arc she was the heroine who in 1429 led France to victory against England in major battles. No one theorized that she was God in human form. But rather that she was touched and inspired by God very much. Well, I feel Patti Reilly is touched and inspired equally by God as many believe Joan of Arc was. But Patti is living in a far less brutal time and can achieve greatness at far less strenuous cost and self-sacrifice then Joan did. I do not feel Patti (very great as she is) is God in human form.

Yup. She's a gift from God. That's why she does all of the nasty, mean things we've seen her do. The first real showing of her insides took place during a Quacker Factory show. What she did to Angel the model still shocks me to this day. It was mean-spirited, uncalled for and very embarrasing to Angel as well as Jeanne. Find my old post about it. I am not the only poster to have seen this, btw.

Her latest and greatest was just a day or two ago. She was doing a toy show with David Venable. When the show started, David was on the floor pretending to be asleep on those small, kiddie sleeping bags. (You know the ones - Spiderman, Sponge Bob, etc.) Patti walked up from behind David and proceeded to KICK him. Yes, Patti fans, she kicked him and said, "Wake up!". He had no clue it was coming and no, it was not a planned 'funny' opening. You should have seen David's face. They went to a close up of him and he said, "See what I have to put up with when they schedule me with her?" and he made the 'OK' sign as if to say, "Thanks a lot". His face and tone of voice were not happy, funny, pleased, etc. It was a rotten thing for her to do - period. His feelings were obviously hurt and he was getting red in the face. Anger or embarrasment or both, I have no idea, but he did NOT deserve that type of treatment.

Whether you like David or hate him or don't care it does not matter. Patti made herself look like a total moron. No manners, no class and no good judgement at all. For her to conduct herself in that manner is her choice and it looks bad. That behavior is not that of a team player or an all-around nice person. There is not one show host that I can think of on any of the five major shopping channels that would sink to actions such as Patti.

If anyone has noticed, she rarely speaks of her niece any more. Since her brother and sister-in-law moved out, not a peep out of her on the kid. Before it was my niece this...my niece that. Seems kind of odd to me.

Another very telling thing about Patti's true insides: Her last show with Laura Geller. We have all read about Laura asking Patti to calm down on air so Laura could explain and demonstrate her products before and I've seen it a few times myself. This last visit was a real treat for Laura. During the review, Patti 'shushed' Laura and then proceeded to laugh about it and said, "Oh, I just shushed you on live television!". Laura had had enough and never missed a beat with her response, "Yup. You did. You sure can be a Bossy Betsy sometimes." Well, what can I say? Patti is her own worst enemy. Everytime she does something, it's worse than the time before.

Oh, and by the way, everything I just posted is NOT my opinion - it's fact. I have no ax to grind with Patti personally. As far as I know, none of us are personal friends of hers but if this is what SHE chooses to show the world, she is not a person that most people would take up with as a friend. If she treated you like this, would you be friends with her? What if she treated your mother like she treated Laura Geller or your brother like she treated David Venable? If I say something about Patti and people don't like it, too bad! It's not my fault, people!!!! Take it up with the God given source herself - Miss Bossy Betsy. She is the only one responsible for the poor behavior. Think about this: If she IS a mean and nasty person (and her actions sure show it!) she is also the dumbest person, too. She does not have the brains to keep it under control when she is on television. One can only wonder what she is like OFF camera.

And, if anyone cares, she was wearing wooden CLOGS when she kicked David. Nice touch.

That's the sad part, Nova. I used to love her. I was so shocked that they even hired a not-so-slim female like Kelly Repassy and Rachael Huber on HSN. QVC seemed to 'not want to go there' and it made me think of QVC in a different way after I saw Patti. She was the bomb until something (?) made her do a 180 degree turnaround.

How about turning this into a drinking game, like the college kids used to do with the old Bob Newhart show. With that show, the kids would sit around in the dorm watching the show and whenever someone in the show said "Bob", all the kids watching had to drink a shot of whatever beverage was the choice.

We could have the Patti Reilly drinking game. Whenever Patti's on, all the members of this board will watch and whenever she mentions the kid, interrupts a guest, etc., we all take a drink of our choice (either heavy on alcohol or caffeine). As for Patti wearing sandals - Maybe that is a good idea because I'm sure the wooden clogs hurt David when she kicked him in the back. The only thing that is 'cruel' is the way Patti treats people. Are you deaf and blind, Vickie? Or are you into pain and embarrasment as well as feet?

Now I'm not sure what we will do about the health conscious participants. If you drink prune juice, you will be in the bathroom for a week, unable to post anything!

CoffeeMate has new creamer flavors for the holidays. I will be stocking up in preparation!

On a side note - One time I counted the times Bossy Betsy said the word 'actually' in a one hour show. She has since ditched that habit and picked up some new ones...but I digress. The count? Twenty-three times in less than sixty minutes. (Subtract a few minutes for the bottom of the hour break.)

Could not have said it better myself. I would also like to add (again) that anything that is posted stays on here ad infinitum whether you are registered or unregistered, so choose your words carefully. That fact adds to the vibe of this board as opposed to QVC's constant 'house cleaning' of their board, which defeats the entire idea of an open forum. That's why I'm here, at least.

And on a similar yet unrelated note...as I was perking the morning brew, I had a revelation. I finally figured out why posters do not register and it's so simple. Unregistered posters cannot be put on ignore, ergo, their posts MUST be seen by everyone else. It was an epiphany for me. What a simple yet devious plan.

I missed it. The SNL goes commericial but tonight it's a new one w/ Jason Lee with musical guests Foo Fighters and I just found out next week: Eva Longoria as the host and Korn is the musical guest. My all time favorite SNL tv ad spoof is the one for Schmitt's Gay Beer with Adam Sandler & Chris Farley (RIP). I saw Patty druring Mr.Armpit Pants cooking show this afternoon previewing what was coming up with her.....AP was teasing with some sort of food, and she was grabbing her stomach going on about how she had eaten to much that morning....Seeing her today made me think of this thread, and how to the chosen few she is considered to be God's Gift To Someone or Something.....Oddly enough she also didn't have as much makeup on today as she usually does.....
