Y'all KNEW I was going to be the one to start this thread.
Yes, I caved and ordered it. It has sparkly stuff in it and a gold compact. How is gal to say no? Those two (Lisa and Leslie) are "Lilliths". They made me do it. The beasts!
Now to the horrific part. When did LR start using PR's "I don't know" phrase after making a simple statement? It started to really irritate me and not in the delightful way that being irritated by the cute boy behind in math class does.
And who feeds these women Mountain Dew before airtime? It was too much gidddyness in the wee hours of the morning.
The only bonus to the two hour show. NO FOOD ON SET! Although I am slightly nervous that tonights show will contain PR and various styles of cheesecake that remind her of lip pencils or whatever her latest inappropriate food analogy is for the evening.

I tried the Bare Essentials line once and sent it back.
I couldn't get the hang of it apparently 'cause my husband told me I looked pale and "powdery" and he never notices anything.
Is there a way to find out when the show hosts are on?
Now that I found this board I'm always looking for PR, for fits and giggles.

Jenna, I preordered this kit a few weeks ago and have been using it almost everyday, you know, gas station, dry cleaners and grocery store. I love it, the colors are great. I have been using the highlighters for around my eyes and down my nose. The all over color (Trudy) is "da bomb", I actually apply it on my face before I put my foundation on, it looks more natural IMO, gives you a rosey glow. NOT crazy about the lip stick, dries out my lips, I have been using the Revlon Lip Gloss Cherries in the Glow and it looks great. I think you will be really pleased with this kit. Did you get it on AD???

Yeah, they were super hyper yesterday. I'm still not sure if I am going to order it, as much as I want to, because I don't know how much use I will get out of all the products. I really only use the BE foundation, and I have a product from Prescriptives that is similar to that light reflecting powder, which would be the major reason I get this kit. That lipstick color I'd have to look at again...when I saw it last night, it didnt look so good on tv, but looked good on the ladies.

I knew it was going to be on at midnight but my peepers betrayed me and I fell asleep. By the sounds of it, I'm glad I did. Sounds like it was a real goofball giddy fest (not the good kind). I did, however, wake up at 4 a.m., turn on the TV, and there was Sheila, presenting the TSV. Thank goodness I was too tired to watch; I only listened. When I got up this morning, I jumped online and ordered it on A-D. I couldn't resist--I'm a sucker for free S&H. ;)

Hi Kitty,
Try it and if you don't like it, send it back, you have until the end of January for returns. I think you might be pleased with the colors they offer, if you like the natural look, this kit is for you.

The BE mascara is very nice but I prefer the new Max Factor limited edition mascara.
OHHH and that baby kabuki brush is great, I am now using that to put on my BE foundation and it works so much better than the brush I was using. I think it gives you better coverage.
You might pick out what you like from the kit and give the rest away as Christmas gifts.
I am tempted to get the Quick Sticks to GO GO!!!! I have Fig and Cognac and love both of them!!!!

I ordered the TSV, it was soooooo funny on the BE show earlier with "Peddler Patti".....She asked a caller if she had purchased the TSV, and the lady replied "I have it already"......The look on Patti's face was priceless, and she asked the lady "What?"....The lady had to repeat that she already had the TSV, and Leslie said that the caller must be one of the "insiders"...I think Leslie probably meant the people who get info off of the BE Addicts Board....
It seems like "Peddler Patti" was waving that damn TSV around during every product presentation during the BE show....I was so hoping it would sell out sometime during that BE show so Patti would shut up about it....I hate the way she has to talk over everyone, Leslie looked so frustraited during most of the show....It creeped me out the way "Peddler Patti" kept feeling the need to put her hands on Leslie......
One other thing, since I watched the entire BE show on mute, and read the captioning....It looked like Patti said something snippy to one of the African American models, and the model she spoke to looked kind of upset...I didn't happen to catch exactly what Patti said, and was wondering if anyone else caught it....
Garnet333
11-19-2005, 01:17 PM
Rowan your post just reminded me again why I hate watching Patti, like I need any reminding. Thank god I was out today and missed that BE presentation. Patti keeps putting her foot in her mouth, too bad she doesn't just keep it there, would save us all from having headaches and using the mute button. I wonder what rude comment she said now, I am interested to see if anyone caught that.

Watch out or BR™ and I will call you during one of those shows! She actually called this afternoon to discuss make up! Is it any wonder I was the top store in the country when I ran "Garden Botanika"?
I love the "Lisa's Day Off"! It was pink. I have the goods but I want that make up organizer.
The gossamer is wonderful! I have it from the Getting Gorgeous TSV from last year.

Jenna, I was loving the Lisa's Day Off too but didn't order. Not sure about the Gossamer, I never used it. Is it too sparkly? I am all about sparkles but is it Grocery store sparkles or dinner and dancing sparkles. I was thinking of ordering the radiance.
Looks like Touche' is having a very Merry BE Christmas, she is gonna look pretty hot under the mistletoe.

Those precious metals are wonderful too! And I highly suggest the skin rev-er upper. That little product is amazing. Each day your skin gets better and better. It is also doesn't make that blasted milia appear. I am eyeing those radiance lipglosses but I think they are waitlisted.

The gossamer is champagne sparkly. Not brittney spears sparkles. It is light and delicate and gives you such a pretty sheen. Not teenage like at all. And slightly less glittery than the ballroom dance make up on "Ballroom Bootcamp" and "Strictly Ballroom". Love that movie.

Waaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh! I was gone all day and missed all the presentations. (I did manage to spend a small fortune nonetheless.) I was tempted to get this kit but I don't like to use all the loose powders to apply. I find you need a lot of special brushes to use the eyeshadows, blush and bisque. I already use the BE foundation and Mineral Veil and use Mally's Life is Lighter kit for my blush. I've been using Rimmel eyeshadow that is nice to use (not a loose powder). I hope everyone enjoys the kit that ordered it!

Yes, kitty, I'm an all or nothing kind of gal. I may end up ordering out of the small catalog that came with the BE TSV. It says S&H is just $3.97 on your whole BE catalog order. Jen ..I am so jealous..we don't have BE, Sephora, Nordies or any decent store that sells any of the higher end makeup. I could probably find something in Raleigh(NC) but that is a 2 hr drive from the coast. Enjoy and report back any great finds. This is when I miss San Diego!!!

I am already planning my outfit for tomorrow. It is snowing and now I am bit nervous. I have recruited a friend to go with me that really isn't into make up. She thinks it is going to turn into an Amway meeting as I try to convert her.
I have memorized that catalog. lol

Sounds like everyone is raving over their new lipgloss finds in anticipation of your trip to the new store, Jenna. I thought I would add mine. I just received the new Radiance glosses, a set of three, Warm Radiance, Clear Radiance and Rose Radiance. Definite keepers!

I was wondering how those were. I missed out on getting them during the BE shows. I almost feel like I should take a note pad with me tomorrow and take copious notes.

Who me, Nova? I can't help myself; I feel like a woman possessed! I just saw the Sephora box on my porch a little while ago and my heart starting palpitating. I got the BE Lips to Go Go Quicksticks 6-pc. collection and the Balm Set of 2 Lip Glosses. I love lippies! There, I said it, lol.
Oh, btw, I'm glad the cow bell makes you laugh. :)

I have been in two of the BE stores. The boutiques are really neat. The thing that was most surprising to me is that the makeup part of the store is not the main focus. I think they've said that on air many times, but I didn't realize how much of their line is more the body lotions and scrubs and those kinds of things.
I was able to get things that sell out on the Q or are only part of a set and not offered separately. That was nice. And you can't beat getting to actually see the colors, rather than judge from the TV screen or the catalog.
Have a safe and fun trip tomorrow, Jenna! Hope you get lots of goodies!

Ok, I am over the disappointment of the BE grandless opening.
I must RAVE and shout to the heavens and the Lady Miss Chablis how wonderful the brushless mascara is. There is NO learning curve. It just looked absolutely long and lush immediately. It even made my lower lashes plumper and I am in between my lash tinting appt!

Hi Missy!
Just curious....which is your fav of the "BE Lips to Go Go"?

Hi Shellie! So far I've only tried the Escentual Rose and Escentual Spice, and I like both of them. I'll have to get on the (Quick) stick and try the rest of them this week. ;) Thanks for asking. Do you have them, too? I hope you're having a great weekend. :)

Hey Missy! First off, thanks for answering.....I would hate to seem as though I was talking to myself. :)
I have only ever tried the Rose and I love it. It seems to go with everything.
I did see the presentation of the "Lips to Go Go" but I thought some of them might be too brown for my liking, therefore I didn't get them....although I did think I would like the spice. Thanks so much! :)
P.S. Yes, I am having a GREAT weekend, thank-you!

I've finally got to playing around w/my TSV set. I don't quite understand that light stuff...I know one of the brushes is for this, but how do I use it? Which color goes where?
So far I really like the mascara, it really does prevent clumps from forming. Of course, I've only used it once, but so far, I like it...

Did anyone else notice Leslie looking a little different tonight? Her face looked odd?? Maybe she is sick??

My Mom and I noticed that she looked different too....Doesn't she usually wear bangs?...
Hi Rowan........maybe she wears bangs but her face looked big and white.
IMO, I always think for someone who owns a makeup company her makeup is never stunning!!

Her hair was different today. Like maybe she didn't 'do' it. It looked like maybe she put gel in it and let it air dry or something. That's just how it looked to me. My sis says she looks like Sarah McLaughlin. I think she does, too.

I was mainly focused on her white suit. IMHO, looked better than the more trendy clothes she sometimes wears but the tailoring around the waist was questionable (pulling a bit). I also think this is the first I have seen LB without bangs.

I made it through a show without ordering a single thing. I do love that serenity lipstick from the baby grand holiday kit but I know that will show up as a single sometime soon.
I loved everyone in winter white. They all looked so pretty. I thought Joy was especially stunning.
Patti almost did Ok and then I think her valium wore off and then the food references started, Oy! Logorrhea should be her middle name. Someone please teach her the joy of the principle of the concept of the economy of words and food references. But that color purple on her was luscious. (That was just for Putbeds)
