Lipstick Experts---HELP!!

Can anyone recommend a lipstick that doesn't taste weird and is fragrance free?
I can't stand the smell and taste of some lippies...any suggestions? How is Bare Escentuals? I was kinda thinking about getting that 6 pack of colors they had on last night..thanks. Have a nice Sunday...Barb

Hi Barbara.......I would suggest getting the BE Quick Sticks Go Go. They are excellent and there is really no fragrance. Plus you get a wide variety of colors.

Most of the lipsticks I use are fragranced but I did notice Revlon fragrance isn't too strong anymore.

A large selection of the Rain or Shine lipsticks in the Origins line have mint and aloe as their main ingredients, and are very pleasant!

Most people who are sensitive to scents love these.

When it comes to Lippies, BR is your girl, just ask me. Before I posted on this BB I had maybe 4 or 5 lippies, now that I am hanging with BR I must have 25 now. She made me do it, its all her fault. LOL

I personally like the Revlon lip glosses, they have no taste or smell and not expensive. I just bought 2 last week, Cherries in the Glow and Plum. And make sure you buy lip liner too, it really finishes the look.............BR has taught me well :)

Be careful with the Revlon lip products. If you have allergies and are sensitive to fragrances these will give you cold sores. Also, the new BE lipspas are unscented and unflavored. The older ones smell like roses and taste like vanilla. IMO Revlon has the worst products. They don't last, the get smelly fast and stain everything.

I told my mom and sister that I had about 80 lippies, and they were stunned! I thought they were going to do an intervention on me or something, lol. I ended up giving my mom the lippie I had on me (it looked great on her). Later on that day, I called my sister and said, "I feel you were judging me when I told you I had 80 lippies." She started cracking up, as I was only kidding around. She said she's lucky if she has ten. I think you ARE a bad influence on us, BR! Just kidding; as far as I'm concerned, keep the info coming! :)

OH Jenna, please don't tell me that, darn, and here I was so happy about my new Revlon lippies and now I find out they are crappy, oh dear........

I didn't mean to rain on your parade. That has been my personal experience and my sister's and my Mom's and two of my friends. Revlon nailpolish does't last on me either and others swear by it. Cold sores are nuisance! BR™ sent me samples of lippies and I haven't been able to try them out. Hopefully, tomorrow!!!!

That's okay Jenna, I will keep wearing them until they start to smell like wet dog, then I will pitch them. But if I see one cold sore or a start of a cold sore those lippies are HISTORY!!!

Don't you just hate when the little tingly itch starts? You just know what you are in for and it isn't very pretty. Due to my unfortunate situation I have to keep covered in the sun at all times or my lips will instantly blister. If you look at it that way, lipstick and BE is a medical necessity!

Hi BarbaraM! Good to see you! I am a self admitted lipstick junkie and my favorite brands are Estee Lauder and Dior....but you won't like them because they are fragranced (but in a beautiful way) and ohhhh so creamy.

So, because you want fragrance free.....I HIGHLY recommend Bare Escentuals Quick Sticks. I LOVE them! A24121 $14.00 each. I always get the Rose, IMO it goes with everything. I usually order two at a time. B.E. has great lip liners as well. I did see the B.E. Quick Sticks to Go Go and it was a great price to get all six....but I didn't get them because many of them were too brown for my liking.

Also, if you like lip gloss too....here is a good combo. B.E. Quick Stick 2 piece-

Hi BR! I got the cognac...how do you like that color? I actually ordered on sephora.com, and it was hard to see the colors, but I wanted something more neutral/brown...and I was trying to decided between cognac and cinnamon, and I went w/cognac!

"Earth" is another good lipliner. It is like a brownish-russet color. Awhile back it was on of Lisa's favorites. If you are very fair, no go. I use it in the summer when I do the spray on fake glow. I think for mortals, it is a pefect color.

AussieMrs, I don't get it! LOL! I mean, with all those lipsticks, don't you find you have too many of a similar color? I'm SO picky with lipstick. I'm a redhead so I don't go in for a lot of colors... no pink, nothing with wine anything, and no pastels. I stick with brown and carmels. Oh, and NO frosts! Hate those. Hah! I have maybe 5 lipsticks now. Compared to you I'm deprived!

Mockers, nah, they're pretty much all different. I'm olive skinned so I can wear different colors. I like to try different brands, see what works for me. The SPAMSPAMSPAMSPAMSPAMSPAMSPAMSPAMSPAM brands I like to try, too, 'cause if you don't like it, you can take it back (I had to do that once). If you think I have a lot, don't EVEN ask BR how many she has, lol! ;)

Jenna, I've got the BR Earth and love it, too.

I confess I'm a lipstick junkie too!! I just found a site (one of the ads at the top of this thread) and found my all time favorite discontinued--of course-- lipstick. It is a revlon brand called Moisturestay and they had 2 in "my color" . Love love love it !!The site is BUYMEBEAUTY.com. Check it out you might find one of your alltime favorites.
