They're still great after all these years!! I'm watching the show on my pc here at work.
Dave King did a great job hosting this show. Perfect guy for this show!

I knew it would be Dave King! They sounded good. Did you see Dave talking to Jayne during her show? He got her a pass to see the show and was she ever excited! It must have been a very security-intense show.

Now - everyone imagine the following hosts:
Bob Bowersox
Jill Bauer
Discuss. Or, is that "disgust?"

I saw Dave do the walk on, but didn't see what he was doing...I had the volume turned down. I know she was excited because she was singing and dancing earlier on I think is was a denim & co. show.
I love Jane!

From the sublime (Earth, Wind and Fire with Dave) to the ridiculous - Steve Bryant was on SAH last night with John Corbett - late of Northern Exposure and Sex and the City. His latest incarnation is trying to be a country singer. Let me put it this way, he is prettier to look at than listen to!

I thought Jacque was going to host this show, she mentioned she was going to take a nap for the 4 pm Earth, Wind & Fire show, I saw Dave King and changed the channel, I watched Grounded for Life instead, that's a really funny show IMO.

EWF is still an amazing group to watch even after all these years. For once QVC matched the perfect host with a show!
I'm sorry I missed it. I had planned to watch on my computer at work but was so busy I forgot. Which songs did they sing?
During the morning show yesterday Pat and Dan were trying to act like they were big EWF fans. They kept referring to the song "September" as "Do You Remember!" It took Jill Bauer of all people to correct them during her walk-on.

I thought it was rumored to be Eric Clapton earlier on QVC but it turned out to be Earth, Wind & Fire.

They were amazing! I have loved them since I was a little girl! They are the flipside soundtrack to my teen years, right behind "The Who". I never ever tire of EWF. Even the ring tones in my phones are EWF.

But Clapton was on the Today show last Friday, singing the title song from his latest album. I enjoyed the interview with him.

I remember ages ago Jill said that she was a big EW&F fan when she was growing up..."September" was her favorite song.
Dan & Pat don't strike me as being big fans of music.

Is that so? I would never have thought of Jill as liking the R&B sounds of Earth, Wind, & Fire. Well, now I don't dislike her as much!

I don't see Jill being a big Earth Wind& Fire fan either. (LOL) Pat likes music. She is a big Donny Osmond fan. She was acting like she was about to pee her pants when he was on the Q.

I'm sorry I missed it too. Have been a big fan for years. I saw them in person back in the late 70's. As a matter of fact the first song my husband and I danced to at our wedding was The Way of the World.

I missed most of it. I caught the last song. They sound and look good after all these years. Now if we can get The Jump In The Saddle Band to make an appearance on the Q, all would be right in the world. I remember many years ago when Randy "Macho Man" Savage was in the WWF and he did an entire 2-hour show on HSN and when a fan asked him what happened to his left hand (his hand was bandaged up), he didn't even answer that question; he was hawking WWF merchandise. --- VIVA LA RAZA -Eddie Guerrero 1967-2005

HHiGirl, you validated my choice of SPAMSPAMSPAMSPAMSPAMSPAMSPAMSPAMs, and inspired me to use one of my EWF favorites as my message ring tone, if i can decide which one!
guess what my incoming call SPAMSPAMSPAMSPAMSPAMSPAMSPAMSPAM is?
Usher's "U Remind Me (of a girl...)" :-)
let's see.... middle age, librarian... Usher would be MY first guess!

EC hit the nail on the head about today's music being so generic Hershey on Today & it was a great interview with the wimp Matt Lauer.

Abbey R - I thought it was interesting what Clapton said about McCartney's new album (and he called it an album not a CD) - that he liked only two tracks at first but knew he'd end up liking the rest after a while and he did.
Sorry to go so far off topic, but I thought Abbey Road, of all people, would be interested in the McCartney comment!
