Anybody have special plans for the long Holiday weekend?

It's just my hubby and myself, with both sets of parents for Thanksgiving. Other than that ... we have no plans. I know I want to see "Rent" and the new "Harry Potter". I will be avoiding the malls like the plague ... just can't bring myself to do it this year!

I also want to take this opportunity to say HAPPY THANKSGIVING to all my friends here on the boards! :-) Have a memorable and SAFE Holiday weekend!!!

Happy Thanksgiving, bee, to you and your family! :)

My aunt normally has Thanksgiving dinner at her house so me and my family and going there. Then I will go home for a couple of days. My friend was actually over this past weekend and she had a collection of blazers with her (I was allowed to choose one to wear that night), and I loved them so much, I have been on a blazer kick all week. She got them on sale, at L&T, so I sooo wanna head over there. Was thinking, if I was brave enough, to go when the malls first open on Friday, but I might be a little nuts to do that! (But I want the blazer!!!!)

Anyways, I will spend a couple of days at home and spend some quality time w/my mom, and my kitty cat Monique. And I'll say hi to the other family cat, Lucy, tho I'm not too fond of her.

And effective I believe Monday, my friends and I are starting a strict healthy lifestyle change! We've set a goal to get into better shape by New Year's Eve!

Today, I've been cooking. Tonight, I'll cook. Bright and early tomorrow morning, I'll cook, and then later in the day, I'll be cooking.

All day Friday, I'll be washing dishes.

I love Thanksgiving. :P

Hey Curvi ~~~ next year, try and go OUT for Thanksgiving Dinner. It's one of the biggest dinner-out days all year. I am all worn out just from reading what you've been doing today. Next year, Just Say No and make it Your Day Off.

I just finished baking two pumpkin pies to take over to my brother's for Thanksgiving dinner tomorrow.

(They are looking pretty good and I am getting kind of hungry.........maybe baking them ahead of time was not such a good idea?) LOL!

My husband and I will probably take our niece and her boyfriend to see Harry Potter sometime over the long week-end. Hope it's not too crowded, though.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I hope you all have a fabulous and safe day, whatever your plans are.

This year we have no plans. I asked my husband several times what he wanted to do and even made a few suggestions, but I got no response. Everyone we know is having family come or are leaving town. We'll probably end up going out to Marie Callender's or something.

Jasmine, a nice relaxing day sounds sooo nice! I personally wish I didn't have to travel. I would love to just have a big bowl of stuffing, big bowl of mashed potatoes, a pumpkin pie and a pecan pie and eat til I'm stuffed. Now, THAT sounds like a holiday to be envious of! *sigh*...i want pie NOW.

Well, kitty.......I'd offer you some of the pies I just baked, but I'm not sure hot pumpkin is all that good.

Come on over for breakfast, though.........I'm sure they'll be all cooled off by then. LOL!

Cat-Lady, you read my mind! I was just thinking that one of these years we should just go out...

Actually, I do a lot of cooking/baking from Thanksgiving through New Years, then I have a big group for Easter brunch, but the rest of the year it's probably 90% take-out, restaurants, and Schwan's.

For this, I am Grateful. :)

HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE!!!

Happy Thanksgiving to all on the BB! We're going to Gram's for the first time in years. Just me and my kids, my sis and her kids, Mom and Dad (who, btw, are divorced), and Gram. I can't wait. Have a great day, don't eat too much (what's that?), and if you have to travel, be safe. I'm thankful I have all of you to post with (among other things). :)

Im over my sister's right now getting ready for the big turkey dinner. I've spent every Thanksgiving in a home setting except in 1998, the year my mother died. Me, my sister, her ex-hubby, their son & daughter, my oldest brother and a friend went to a Brazilian restaurant in NYC. It was ok except they didn't have my Pepperidge Farm stuffing. The kids acted up a little bit and we went to see the Rockerfeller Center tree except it wasn't lit up yet. My first and only time I've ever went to eat out on Thanksgiving. Luckily, for me I was flying out to Florida the next morning to attend the Saints vs Dolphins game. Happy Thanksgiving to Everyone. --- VIVA LA RAZA -Eddie Guerrero 1967-2005

Happy Thanksgiving everyone.
I am thankful I have had all of you to share, laugh and even argue with once in a while. You have no idea how happy I am that ALL of you are in my life.
