We all have a quirk or two. Here is one of mine ~~~ I make lists of things that I need to do , and I cross off the tasks as I do them. If I happen to do something that is Not on the list, then I will write it in and then cross it off ...... gives that sense of satisfaction and the feeling of really having done more than planned. I thought I was the only one who did this particular quirk until I read that lots of others do it too. Do You have any that you don't mind sharing ??

Cat-Lady ... I am just like you! I am a MAJOR list maker ... I LOVE LISTS. If too many things get crossed off I have to start a 'new, fresh' list with the things I didn't cross off yet and then continue to add more. I dont' know what it is about writing down all these things 'to do' but I get an emotional high out of it - I feel as if I have total control of my life ... If it gets done, great. If not, it's no ones problem but mine and no one can say diddly about it.

Vivvie & Cat-Lady, I do the lists, including adding things not originally on the list then crossing them off. I have one yellow stenographer's book every year which has all my lists, notes on stuff and basically everything that would otherwise be on sSPAMSPAMSPAMSPAMSPAM of paper all over the place. (Handy when I need to go back to check something).
I use different laundry baskets for dirty laundry going to laundry room and clean laundry going to rooms. This doesn't seem odd to me but other people seem to think it is. Putting clean laundry where dirty stuff was ... Eeek! :))
Hi Everyone........I do the list thing too. Helps me prioritize and feel like I am accomplishing things.
I eat on the floor
I also don't like shutting off the TV when the last word I hear is something real bad, it has to be on a positive note/word

LOL Dr. J!
Mine is eating related as well. I eat one thing at a time. Like yesterday, I ate all the turkey on my plate first... then the mashed potatoes... then the vegetables, etc. If I'm eating a casserole, I'll pick out one ingredient at a time and eat it if possible.

Lexy, I didn't think your habit was weird until the last sentence about the casserole LOL.
The only time I did that was when I had dinner at some friends' who were an Orthodox Jewish couple. Before eating anything, they had to bless it. So when we got to the casserole, we had to pick out a vegetable to bless, then a piece of meat to bless (different blessing), etc. I thought to myself: "these people never heat hot food, by the time you bless each thing!" (No disrespect intended to any Orthodox Jewish people on this BB - just relating an experience I had that Lexy's post reminded me of).

I LOVE lists. It definitely gives me a sense of accomplishment. There is a movie on ABC family starring Kimberly Williams Paisley...I'm thinking it's Lucky Seven, but at the moment I'm drawing a blank. Anyway, she does the list thing.

I used to have a habit of counting the number of steps I take when I would walk (up to 22). Other than that; nothing. Lexy, I love the Santa hat. ---- "We're Nookie Bound" -Bill Murray (Meatballs)

I'm extremely anal about the way the dishwasher is loaded. I like to have each kind of flatware in its own cubicle, and I prefer the racks to be lined up by size and pattern. :O

I'm also kind of controlling when it comes to my stuff. For example, my computer. My roommate is a little out there at times when it comes to the computer, and she will hit any button just to get to where she wants to get online. I have an annoying spyware popup that asks if I want to block something. Supposed to hit yes. She will hit no. I have my yahoo page set to my homepage. When her then boyfriend would use my computer, he would close me out to look at his email. He even allowed mlb.com to install some flash player when I haven't even allowed it to as of that moment! So I had to lock the computer, for fear that I will catch a virus or something would be out of whack next time I was on.
I also remember my stuff...how it was last placed, where it was, etc. I had a scale in my bathroom, and it was placed neatly against a corner. I come in after work, and it's there, but not how I left it, and it's digital, so it has to be handled carefully. So I know my roommate used it and was prob not careful! Same w/my hairdryer, and my curling iron. I guess I'm just saying I'm very possessive w/my stuff. I don't mind if it's going to be used, I would just like to know. (That's the thing, if I'm told I def would not mind)

You'll have a hell of a time going through one of those pizza's with all the "works". I can just picture you sifting through the slice for like an hour, lol

My kitchen sink has to be shined and spotless before I go to bed. I also have to pick up everything from the day and put it away. My room has to be spotless and all doors must be closed. Don't know if that is considered weird but that is ME. I also eat my food in "shifts" so I don't find that one weird either.
my weird habits??????? i read and participate on these boards!!!!!!!! want to read something weird?????? i argue with those @$$ holes over the qvc board!!!!! that is totally dysfunctional!!!!!!!! they are so dumb over at the other board they argue over whose dog is the prettiest smartest and best behaved!!!!!!!! THANK GOD the dogs didn't take after the ignorant owners aka posters!!!!!! how 'bout the Betty Crockers over there?????? one poster that knows how to add graham crackers and cool whip together........ now that takes real talent!!!!!!!! theres the old man that posts over there??????? hockup nut.....i could find that dirty old man blindfolded!!!!!!!! you know his first name and state where he lives and his sports affliliation and wifes name and number of pets!!!!!!!!!! the only thing the dirty old man has left out is his phone number and street address!!!!!!!!!!! got to stay away from that one!!!!!!!! whew!!!!!!! time to take a nap!!!!!!!!!!!! good nite and sweet dreams!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks Putbeds. :)
LOL Dr. J, you should see me eat vegetable soup!
Yay, so I guess my eating every item off of my plate one thing at a time might not be so weird. How's this one?... I don't feel "put together" if my toenails aren't painted. If that one's not weird either, I'm sure I can come up with more LOL.

I just though of another one, and I may be the only one who actually does this. I simply cannot get anyone to cut my hair the way I want it cut !! I tell them Exactly What I want, and Exactly How I want it, and then they go and do it their own way and I am then expected to pay for what I did not ask for !! And, is Not the way I wanted it done !! Therefore, I have, over time, and with very cautious practice at first, learned to cut my own hair and Guess What !! I get it Exactly How I want it, each and every time. I do not rush doing it, and have actually become darn good at it. I guess that is my ultimate weird habit, but it has come of self-defense and not wanting my hair screwed up yet another time and then having to live with it while it grows out.

Hi Lexy! That is not weird. I feel the same way....I will never be caught without painted toenails......oh, AND lipstick. LOL
Happy Belated Birthday!
Hi Shellie and thanks! Hmmm, OK let's see what else do I do that could be considered weird? Here's one!... I like to eat raw potatoes on occasion.
