I'm 40!

I turned 40 yesterday! It wasn't bad at all. I remember when my mom turned 40, I thought she was sooooo old. 40 isn't what it use to be.... I think I will embrace and love it.

If you don't know what it is, I'm thinking that you can't possibly be any where near 50!! LOL!

It's a nation-wide "club" so to speak, that was founded by a woman, for ladies over 50. They have been on the Q, selling various purple and red items, which is their "uniform".

They wear funky-looking red & purple hats, usually with feathers in them, and do lunch, ect. Seems like they are basically thumbing their noses at peoples' perception of what "over 50" should look like, IMHO.

Still, when I get to 50, I wouldn't be caught dead in some of those get-ups they wear. And again, no offense to anyone who is a member. ;)

Thanks for all the belated wishes! Part of my birthday present was a surprise dinner cruise on Saturday. The best part of the surprise was my parents, sister, and best friend were there waiting on us. I cried like a baby!!!! They live about 6 hrs. from me so, I really wasn't expecting them.
