Carolyn Gracie's hands

I hate to be mean (especially since it's so close to Christmas), but I was up early this morning watching Carolyn Gracie do a jewelry show and all I can say is that she shouldn't! It's not her fault, but her hands are thick and her fingers are short and pudgy, she has short, short fingernails, and no manicure. I can't believe that management lets her on the air that way. I like her presentations well enough, but they should definitely not allow her to show jewelry because of the close-ups required. Her hands are awful and they don't show the jewelry off very well. Just MHO.

I wonder if the problem could be overcome with the generous use of a model. I notice, however, the Q tends to have few models in the wee hours. At least insist on a manicure, QVC. My eyes! my eyes! Also feeling bad for mentioning but ... really!

I saw her this morning!!! Did you hear her say "she took her acrylics off and was trying to grow her nails out and the "ladies, don't do acrylics" comment!!!" What does that have to do with needing a manicure? Look at Jill's. I think Jill's look nice short. She also said, "she was letting her hair grow out and "I hope you guys are liking it." I kind of thought, yeah I'm up worrying about it. Models wanted for wee hour shifts.

I have been meaning to either get a manicure or do my nails myself to clean them up, but I've been so lazy. This thread got my lazy butt to do so. Ballet slippers never looked so refreshing.

I haven't really noticed Carolyn's hands but are they as bad as Patti's? She has terrible fingers to be modeling the jewelry.

They remind me of that episode from Seinfeld where Jerry goes out with that really beautiful woman, but she had man-hands. I never laughed so hard...he couldn't get past her hands (they actually used a male hand model with a really pretty girl).

I have watched her, and have tried my darnest to like her, but I just can't. There is just something about her that I dont like.

She seems like a nice person, and is an animal lover, but theres that something that I cant get past with her....

That episode of Seinfeld (one of my faves, right up there with the one where George dates a girl with a big nose), was the first thing that popped into my mind the first time I seen a shot of Carolyn's hands.

Good Grief!! Not everyone can be a delicate flower, but if you're not, don't be doing close-up shots in jewelry shows!! :)

Hi, if anyone resents this or Carolyn resents this, I apologize and live your own life. But I think being that she is on QVC and some complain about her hands, maybe she should lose a little weight. Her hands may be thicker because she is a little heavier. So if she lost some weight, I think it may look better. Anyways, Take care.

Carolyn has grown on me. She used to seem so harsh. I couldn't figure out how they picked her. She seems softer and better now. I don't know that I have seen her hands. Worst hand award for me would be a tie between Patti and Sheila. Patti for stubby sausage fingers and Sheila for total man hands. One would think the Q would be monitoring these things. Talk about jewelry looking bad!! It must cut sales.
