Is it just me or have they been cramming xmas commercials down our throats these past few weeks? I remember twenty years ago it wasn't this bad. They've started with the Christmas push well before Thanksgiving. I've even seen Xmas decor go up at Costco at the start of Sept. I'm especially sick of the car commercials like the Lexus, Acura and Honda holidays ones. Who the hell is going to spend 25-45K just for this event? Well, unless you're a rich snob like Trump. It's had quite the opposite effect on me, instead of brainwashing me with these redundant ads, I've learned to despise these cars. It's incessant overkill. They are milking this to the bone and taking all the fun out of a joyous occasion.

And wait till after Xmas day. Then we'll have to put up with the after Christmas ads/sales and hearing about all the idiots that camp outside a Best Buy or Wallmart at 4AM to pick up a $15 DVD player or something stupid like that. And don't forget the New Years sales and so on. Is this still earth we are living in?

Tsunami, Katrina Fair-Trade Agreement ring any bells????

If WE didn't reach out first (with W's "warlike attitude,") THEY would have never reciprocated, dig?? (Afghanistan was first with "Katrina-Aid," remember).

Charity truly starts at home............

20 years ago it may have been different, but it's been this way for at least 10 years ... we should come to expect it by now!

I don't personally love the bombardment of Holiday commercials, but I would NEVER allow it to affect my LOVE for the Holidays!

Can someone truly say that they don't think the commercial with the "Coca-Cola" polar bears isn't adorable?

I'm with Bee, in that I love this time of year, and while the retailers are ridiculous in starting the season so early, nothing would deter me in enjoying everything about Christmas.

C'mon - you can't tell me the little yellow lab puppy welcoming his "family" for Christmas doesn't make you smile. You'd hardly guess that it's an ad for toilet paper. On the cuteness scale, it ranks right up there with the Coca-Cola polar bears. Merry Christmas!
