Today is the shortest day of the year ... but it's barely lunchtime! ;-)
Thanks Curvi! Here in Denver, it's sunny and almost 50 degrees. We will not have snow for Christmas ... :-(

Holy Cow! Happy Winter indeed - it's 75 and sunny here in AZ today. Wishing for an early spring for those who need it - we dread it since it only leads to an endless summer of 110+ temps. I guess no place is perfect because then everybody would live there :)

I'm with LindaLou...in the Berkshire Mountains of western Massachusetts, spring comes in July and leaves in August...

I was amazed to go outside today and find that it was 86 degrees here in inland San Diego County! Now that's crazy!

It was a very sunny but brisk day here in the Philadelphia area. It got into the 30's again today. That's better. We had a several days when it was colder. Brr!! I would like spring to come. That could actually be next week the way the goofy weather goes around here. At least it could seem like spring!

Sirgal ...I'm in Philadelphia too!! The sun was warm, and if the wind wasn't blowing it was not too bad...going to get much warmer this weekend...nice to meet another Philadelphian here!!

Lots-O-Snow here in Minnesota ... mild temps ... the trees are frozen white with snow and ice ... it's a real Winter Wonderland. Weatherman is predicting above normal temps for the wkend ... Happy Holidays to all my poster friends! I love this site and all who contribute ... You have made so many of my 'bad days' happy ones by the wild, crazy, happy, sad, weird, strange but 'oh so fun' posts! Wishing you all a healthy and happy 2006! Thanks everyone! Vivvie XO

We're finally suppose to get some warmer weather starting tomorrow. Heatwave of 40 degrees!!! Sure beats these minus chill factors.

Hi Dr*J.........when I first saw Manhattan Beach and 60, I said WHAT?? We have a Manhattan Beach in Brooklyn, NY but it's not 60 here!! hahaha

here in CT its been around 30 degrees.. but going to be warmer for xmas, no white xmas tho.. just whatever is still on the ground! and then xmas night, we might have a mix of garbage ice/rain.. sucks! but happy winter to everyone else anyways! and happy holidays :P

Curvigirl ~ And a Happy Winter to you. In southeastern VA it is going to be 50 today and 58 on the 24th. We have the "screwy" weather Dr*J descrinbes in Manhattan Beach, here too, but colder. This time of year we could have snow and 31, sun and 78 or a big ice storm. Usually it remains 40-60ish 'til January. Then by mid-March, a long spring!

LOL, it was warm here too today!!!! well if u call 32/33 deg. warm, here in iowa in winter that a damn heat wave..lol
and that what i thought when i stepped outside this a.m i was ready to go in and put shorts on...lol
melted alot of our snow, =.........o(
i dont normally care, but for x-mas want a white christmas, we still have snow. but it is little bare in spots very odd for iowa ...
but friday night/sat morning we sapposed to get ice then some snow, yuck,, have to travel in that if i were stayin home wouldnt mind so much. but anywhoo...
