Well I've used Pur Minerals for almost a month and liked it at first but noticed my skin started to slowly breakout. It also felt dry and itchy and didn't look fresh. I went back to using Bare minerals and I noticed a big difference on how my skin looked. It looked much better with BE! I'm going back to BE. Even though it's extra steps using the foundation and mineral veil whereas Pur Minerals was all in one, BE is worth it. Just thought I'd pass this on to everyone!

LOL, princessk! Sometimes it takes time to see how the skin will react. Thanks for the review! I never got PurMinerals bc everytime I saw it on SAH, they never seemed to focus on the shades...I use BE too, and if I was going to try another, it would be Sheer Cover...(I keep saying that!)

That's too bad, princesskv. I was thinking of trying that product sometime, but definitely won't now. I'm sticking with the GloMinerals.

You're right Hello Kitty, it does take awhile to see how the skin will react. I had to order more BE as I don't have much. I even paid extra shipping so that I can have it soon. I put the Pur Minerals back on today because I don't have much BE left and my skin has been itching me. Guess I learned my lesson from trying Pur Minerals. Glo Minerals sounds interesting to try.

I bought GloMinerals on Ebay, or Dermstore.com. Ebay was cheaper, but do a google/froogle search to find the best price. Another good mineral makeup is Youngblood. I used to buy it from Makeupartistschoice.com. They have lots of goodies and samples.

Guess I'm lucky the order for Pur Minerals I made through SAH never went through....I did order some samples of Jane Iredale Pressed Base samples....I've the JI once and it seems nice, and glides on nicely....

If you want to purchase samples go to Skin-Etc, I put the web address below....Go down near the bottom of the page, there is a section where the brands are listed and click on Jane Iredale....On the JI page go down to almost the bottom and there are Samples and Clearance Items listed....

Hey Princesskv! Nice to see you posting again. Thanks for the review. I was wondering how you were liking it. Did you see that Neutrogena now has its own line of mineral make up? It is in SPAMSPAMSPAMSPAMSPAMSPAMSPAMSPAMSPAMs now. I think it is in our CVS' already. It is in the same packaging as the Philosophy supernatural with the puff attached to the product.

Hi HHIgirl, Thanks for the info. about Neutrogena's makeup. Had no idea they came out with mineral makeup. Have you tried it?

If you go to SPAMSPAMSPAMSPAMSPAMSPAMSPAMSPAMSPAM.com and put Neutrogena Mineral Sheers in the search section, it brings up what this new makeup looks like...I couldn't find a version with a sponge top yet online...

I am always up for trying new foundations. I have stated before, BE was working then all of a sudden the results not as good and I figured out my skin was drier in the winter. I am having great results with Sheer Cover and even during this time of year.

The Be minerals has bismuth in it and that is waht causes the itchin. i have a line withou that i am developing, with no bisumuth so your face will not itch. i also believe pur minerals has the saem. Ingrediants ae very important. Any ov you that want to know more let me know. It is what I do for a living. What is absorbed through the skin goes strait to the liver . There are so many toxic ingrediantsin cosmetics and skin care it is VERY scary . Look up proplene glycol just to prove my point. Hope this is helpful.

Sorry about my typing . It is not one of my strong points.

I'm using the Neutrogena mineral make-up and it's OK, but I think I'm just a liquid make-up person. It's gives better coverage and I can mix it with moisturizer for a lighter look. I especially like it mixed with a pearlized cream like Yves Rocher. The bristles in the Neutrogena brush fall out.

I never liked the powdered mineral foundations, but I have ordered the lip gloss box from Pur Minerals on SAH. I love it...not real glossy, but they last a long long time. Don't taste bad, dont run....and lots of product in each little cup in the box. 24 colors or so.....
I do notice that this isn't offered on SAH right now.....
