Rest up my friends! The day is forthcoming. Boring programming, too much Pattie and not enough product to go around. Let me guess...We will have to suffer through the horrid Fran Wilson lipCRAP products, no Darac, Leslie and Lisa giggling and whatnot and oh yes....there will be FOOD everywhere for an apparent reason!

Tomorrow is some kind of all day event...I forget what, though. I think it will mainly be QVC's wonderfully in style fashions!!! Although they did mention some make up stuff...

Since Leslie was mentioned - AussieMrs - you have said before that Leslie and Sarah McLachlan look alike - I haven't see SL in the longest time, but this morning she was on tv - and wowee! You are right! SL's hair is darker now and there is a striking resemblance! SL is more attractive than LB, I guess you could say that LB is SL in Bizarro-World!!

There ya go, kitty! I haven't seen Sarah McLachlan in a while either. I think it's something about the eyes.

Oh, tomorrow is their 'Day of Style' if you can call it that. However, BE will be on at 2am and 3pm, stila at 11am and Models Prefer at 7pm, EST.

Very clever of them to make the Day of Beauty on February 5th, Superbowl Sunday, dontcha think?

The last product I bought from QVC were Fran Wilson's new glide on lipsticks. I am very unhappy with them. Yes, they glide on and feel weightless, but the colors are too pale and blah. Not only that, but they don't last at all. Right now I'm using them to tone down other lipstick colors or using them as gloss. Bad buy.

Looking forward to the day of beauty of show. However, like I posted awhile back, I don't think Darac is with Prescriptives anymore. Some lady by the name of Poppy was on the last couple of times representing Prescriptives. I didn't see Darac on their website anymore either.

Hi again Pebbles! Doesn't it seem like I am stalking you today? LOL

My deepest condolences on the Fran Wilson purchase. Ugh, they are awful! So funny that so many of the Q beauty forum rave about them. The only thing they are good for is unsticking doors. Rubbed the clearest one on the top of my kitchen door so it would "glide" better.

I hope they have the NUXE dry oil again. It looked pretty and they said it smells like suntan lotion. I love that smell! Not kidding, I really do! If there was an actual Coppertone fragrance, I would sport it. I did find one close it. Versace's "Essence of Spring-Exciting". That was reminds of the beach all day long.

Hey Princesskv!
I read on another BB that Darac is now doing instore consultations and make overs and will be at our Nordie's sometime in March! I might venture out to Beachwood just to meet him. I am not a big fan of Prescriptives but it would be worth it to learn something in person, from a master!

Thanks for the info. HHIgirl. So Darac is still with Prescriptives eh? That would be interesting to see him in person giving consultations. Let me know when he's coming in March if you happen to find the date out. Thanks!

Anyone ever try the Yves Saint Laurent Eclat Touche? A few days ago it was on like 5 easy payments or something and I was so tempted to get, but I am not sure if it is even a wise purchase.

Do anyone of you buy any of the more expensive beauty products on ebay? I'm thinking of looking there for some Avon age-defying moisturizer that sells in the catalog for 30+ dollars. I'm sure that I could find a much better price on ebay.

I bought Avon's Firm and Lift for around 5 bucks on Ebay. It's very good and the price was right. It came in a sealed cardboard box and jar. I will be buying more there.

Oh, dear. I just got a QVC schedule in a package today, and it doesn't list February 5th as a Day of Beauty. Where did you see it Jenna? It does look like there will be a smasbox show that day at 9am, but that's it. Does anybody have any info?

hellokitty - I like the Touche Eclat. It goes on smoothly and blends well. I believe there are a couple shades now. LA

I have it also, but I am not sure I care for it. For the price it doesn't seem to do much for me that my other cheaper products don't already do. Everyone else raves about it, though, so maybe I am using it wrong.

LOL, I had the name backwards! Silly me!

Gee, that is what I am wondering about. When the rep puts it on the models, he knows what he is doing...I wonder if I would! LA - does it make a difference at all? The thing amazes me for some reason, I have no idea why. When they are showing it, I just watch them present. It fascinates me. Kinda like a cat w/a piece of string. LOL!!!

hellokitty - It does make a difference but I don't know the products to which Geeitsme refers. Others I have seen, pricey or not, don't blend as well, and some have had more "shimmer" than I want. The touche eclat is light reflecting but subtle. I would suggest we get Gee's alternatives. I'm all for a less expensive product to achieve same effect. So ...

Geeitsme - I (and prob hellokitty) would appreciate a heads up on your recommendations. Is Laura Geller's Caulk one of them? I like that but haven't used it the same as TE. TIA. (Learned that from you.) ;))

Hey Guys,

Sorry for the confusion. I guess I have a bunch of different products in my bag that seem to do the same thing. For the down the sides of the nose thing, the forehead and above eyebrows, under my eyes etc.. --I use the caulk pencil. Seems to work the same. For my cheeks, I use the highlighting quad from smash box. I use the lightest color and again I can't seem to see the difference. For below my brows, I use a real light shimmery BE eyeshadow. Works like a charm. Leslie suggested using it this way and it seems to work the same for me. I don't know the color off hand, but I can go look if you are further interested. I have occasionally used Laura Gellars Spackle in spot places for highlighting since it does have a shimmer to it. That also works for me. I am fair so maybe the above products give me enough highlighting.???? My review I guess came from the fact that since I had all these products already and they seem to do the same thing, I'm not sure the Touche Eclat was worth the price for me. Also, it seems to use alot of product. I'd be clicking that pen all day. LOL!

I did break down and order it because I, too, was always fascinated by the demo and lots of the hosts rave about it. It just didn't do enough for me to want to buy it again. I guess if you want one product that does all the above, it may be worth it although that is still not enough to make me order again. Hope this helps!

Thanks Gee...and gee whiz...with all that highlighting, you certainly must glow! lol! I have the spackle, but I'm still playing around with it. I always forget to put it on...I remember after I have started putting on my makeup! I also have the BE lightening stuff, but haven't tried it yet.

Hope next time I see that YSL TE, it will not be on easy pay so I won't be tempted.
