Since we're discussing unusual products like Monostat as wrinkle cream, did anyone hear Joan Rivers mention that she puts Super Glue on her nails? She didn't explain it, just said something about how it helps nails grow.

Nail glue and super glue are the same product, packaged differently. I always found it to be drying and make the nails more brittle. I don't think it would be a good thing for nail growth, just a temp fix for a broken one.

She wasn't talking about fixing a broken nail. She was talking about making it part of your regular nail care. I thought it was weird.

I used to coat my nails slightly with a coating of superglue. It helped protect them from the chlorine. Like Jas, (Hi jas!) I found it be very drying and now only use it for quick fixes for those pesky deep corner tears. Superglue and a teabag work wonders.

I have done nails for many years. Super glue will not make your nails grow. In a pinch you can use it to repair your nails, however it is not the same as nail glue. Nail glue dries quickly while the other takes more time.
