this was just recently written about in one of the mags also..and I think it was in US last week that Sheryl denied any problems....

The much anticipated wedding of Lance Armstrong and Sheryl Crow is officially off.
The couple, who released a joint statement through Armstrong’s spokesman to PEOPLE, are calling it quits after two years of dating and an engagement that lasted a little over five months.
"After much thought and consideration we have made a very tough decision to split up. We both have a deep love and respect for each other and we ask that everyone respect our privacy during this very difficult time," the statement said.
Rumors of trouble began surfacing around Christmas, but the couple insisted there was no truth to them and that they were moving forward with wedding plans for this spring.
Crow recently tried on wedding gowns, including a Vera Wang with what she said was “a particularly absurd amount of meringue,” for a photo shoot for Allure magazine and told reporters that she would be marrying her cyclist boyfriend in Austin.
Armstrong, 34, a Texan, and Crow, 43, born in Missouri, shared a ranch in Austin and were said to be planning to live there together after their wedding.

The couple met at a charity event in October 2003 and began dating a short time later.
"I knew pretty quickly that I was totally into him,” Crow told PEOPLE in November.
Armstrong popped the question in Sun Valley, Idaho, in late August in a proposal Crow called “very romantic.” The marriage would have been Crow's first. Armstrong and wife Kristen divorced in 2003 after five years of marriage; they are parents to son Luke, 6, and twins Isabelle and Grace, 4.
She's better off.
Lance Armstrong wouldn't be my idea of a good mate.

I don't know that much about him to have any particular reason but you know how sometimes you see someone & just get that feeling?
I think the drive that makes him such a successful athlete makes me look at him and feel like I'm looking at a totally self-absorbed & 'cold' person. I could be wrong but that's what I see. He's a TOTAL turn off for me, although I respect his athletic achievments.

Oh dear God, who next? Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman?
Are any celeb couples still together? I don't think so! I can't name a single one!
Susan

Nah, not to worry, I've come up with a few, and they are all expecting, at ROUGHLY THE SAME TIME! Oh goodie, because Lord knows that all kids need a good solid foundation that only two A-listers can provide.
I've come up with some name guesses:
Angelina and Brad Pitt - Girl: Madahari Boy: Bangladeshi
Tom and Katie Cruise - Girl: Thomasina Boy: Paul Newman Jr.
Gwyneth and Chris Martin - Girl: Peaches Boy: Jeeves
Who else is due soon? I know there must be others. Kelly needs to stay away from Williams-Sonoma and get home to Mark, they are falling behind!

Paul Newman and Joanne Woodward.
But, it's not as if non-celebrity marriages are so healthy these days.
Yes, celebrities are much more likely to end a marriage very quickly and move on to the next relationship but considering the lifestyle of the rich & famous, that's hardly surprising.

Though Paul dumped his first wife for her... I am glad it has lasted... Everyone is entitled to one mistake, LOL...
SPAMSPAMSPAMSPAMSPAMSPAMSPAMSPAMen.wikipediaSPAMSPAMSPAMSPAMSPAMSPAMwiki/List_of_Hollywood_celebrity_couples Has a comprehensive list... But since it's wikipedia, can't vouch for it's accuracy...

Great link, PK.
Susan only asked for ONE example so I took the lazy way out. lol
As far as your comment about Wikipedia's accuracy....
"A study recently published in the British journal Nature concluded that Wikipedia has a level of accuracy only slightly lower than that of Encyclopedia Britannica. It showed that, on average, there are 2.92 mistakes per article for Encyclopedia Britannica and 3.86 for Wikipedia."

I said that because there was a giant hoax perpetrated through Wikipedia where someone slandered a co-worker's relative as a practical joke by writing a fake article...
And, LOL... "slightly" lower, my aunt fanny... The numbers alone belie "slightly"... It looks a lot more like almost a 25% discrepancy to me... THAT is not even close enough for "govmint" work...
;0))
PK
It's all in the definition, isn't it....

What about Charleton Heston? Hasn't he been married for some time? Also Art Linkletter?

I think the point is that not even a highly esteemed reference is PERFECT.
Of course, there are mistakes & then there are MISTAKES & they don't qualify what they are counting as errors.
I suppose that's why we're taught in school to use as many sources as possible BEFORE coming to a final conclusion.
One thing Wikipedia has in its favor is that it can be updated almost immediately when an error is found.

I do have a penchant for sourcing my posts, and I was just qualifying this so it didn't come back and bite me on the butt... Butt biting is an olympic sport on R&K, second only to conclusion jumping...

They aren't exactly A-list, but I read today that Rob Estes and Josie Bissett broke up after 13 years of marriage.
They are actors from Melrose Place.

Rob is always A-list with me!
He has a new series coming up by the way.
He has been a favorite of mine since his days on "Silk Stalkings."
