Thanks, Shana. I was looking for a nice stylish spring outfit, and that looks to be just the ticket!

Cool! My buff curves will show nicely through the slinky fabric. I can't wait to slip into this lovely outfit!

I think the TSV looks frumpy. And no matter whom I've seen wearing it, it seems to hit the wrong (unflattering) place on the hips. So far I don't think anyone has looked good in it.

SuperJazz ~ Will you put this outfit over those "buff curves" while on vacation? Lol.

I was tempted to try this outfit although I never wore citiknits before. But the 3/4 sleeves turned me off. It looked cheap to me. I would like to try the pants for travel though.

Anyone notice the HSN Today's Special? Very similar, and while it costs about twice as much, I think it looks better than the QVC one. I'm sticking to my "no buy" policy for this year (so far) though!! LOL ... very soon I have tires to buy :-(

I've tried City Knits before, and don't like it! I WAS heavier when I tried it, but it seems to cling to stuff you don't want it to cling to! Plus the fabric really does look and feel "cheap".

I bought a Citiknits outfit a while back, and while I don't wear it very often, when I do, I don't find it clinging or uncomfortable. The material seemed fine, too. The only thing I didn't like about it was, when I washed it, it smelled weird afterwards. I can't explain it.

Who knows, Miss?
Maybe at the time I tried Citi Knits, EVERYTHING was clinging to the "stuff"! I didn't want it to! lol! I don't know, just seemed to have a weird, crepey, polyester feel to it, like the nasty stuff from the '70's. Well, it went back anyhow.

LA, my buff curves will have to wear something a bit warmer than CitiKnits for vacation! It's only going to be in the low 50's if we're lucky. I should have bought that Dialogue Faux Croc shiny jacket TSV, then I'd be looking spiffy for my trip!

Something that's always struck me as funny is, after all the talk about how Citiknits skim right over all your figure flaws, they always sell Spanx as "perfect to wear with your Citiknits." Now, gee, if Citiknits were really hiding all my flaws, now why would I need that?

Excellent oberservation, pandagirl. That little bit of selling hype-pocrisy went right by me! You are so right.

I have never worn Citiknits, and don't intend to, but I have heard that if you have cellulite, it will show through.
That's pretty yucky! They should mention that so no one buys it and has to send it back. Maybe the Spanx will help with that, but then the comfort factor of the CitiKnits would be erased due to the extreme squish factor of the Spanx! Might as well wear QF then, at least it's comfortable and looks great on all sizes.

Jas,
That is so funny! What do you think they should do, maybe attach a picture of cottage cheese or orange peel with a line big red line through it so people with cellulite know it's not for them? Holy Moly! ;)
Jasmine46

Linda, if they did that, it would probably be at least half their target buyer! I think a lot of people with cottage cheese showing through either don't notice it or don't care.
That would explain the women you see in public in stretch pants and shorts that really should leave more to the imagination.

Jas,
Good point about the cellulite! I do have a couple of Citiknits but I rarely wear them because you do have to wear full body coverage underneath, no matter what size you are. By the time you get squished into all that gear, it's pretty uncomfortable. Thanks, but I'll just stick to my comfortable QF and let everyone laugh at me!
LindaLou,
They do often advertise the Spanx and similar stuff in the same hour, but they do need to be more concise: "You cannot wear these garments without a Spnax."
Maybe the orange peel label would help!

I always wonder, when I watch news shows or specials about overweight Americans, how those people must feel when they realize it's their lumpy, bumpy beehind there zooming in on to make their point?
I mean, they always just show 'em from the neck down, but still, I'm sure the people must recognize themselves! YIKES!
Jas, think it would be MORE than half with the dimples. Have read that like 75% of women have a least a little cellulite, even the thin ones. Go, Jeanne Bice! You'd have to pry the little bit of Q.F. I do have outta my cold, dead hands.

Linda Lou,
I always wondered why those people go out in tight stretch pants & T-shirts. Don't they have mirrors in their houses? I live in the midwest and a day doesn't go by that I don't see people dressed like this in the stores. I have several friends who are moderately overweight and they always so nice when we meet for lunch. It's all in the clothes. Any size lady can look nice when appropriately dressed. (Just not in Citiknits!)

kittyinthecity,
I've worked in a local mall, and there you see it all, every day. Shorts, spandex, leggings, and of late, the low, low cut jeans with lots of belly hangin over! Criminy! Don't know what these people are thinking, but obviously, most must not care.

A full length mirror should be mandated in every home by the Health Dept.

LA,
Mmmm, I think in a lot of cases, maybe a THREE way mirror would be needed. Have to say, I hate those things too! Sometimes, you don't want to see what every one else does! lol!

Yep. So many things in this life we don't want to do, but must do to shield others from the offending cottage cheese. And whatever.

They probably subscribe to the motto "If it ain't squeezin', it ain't pleasin'".
Regardless of the motto, its why I don't go to Walmart until after midnight.

I love Walmart. Do some of my best sight-seeing there. Wonder just why it is that spandex and cottage cheese seems to show up so often there? Hmmm.

Are you guys joking about the Citiknits? I mean, how could anybody see any cottage cheese with them being so loose? I could see if the pants were tight, but I didn't think most of them are.
Jasmine46

I didn't have the opportunity to see Lisa R last night.
Was she wearing the Citiknits?
Missy, maybe the cottage cheese shows through when women buy them in the size they wish they were, not what their true size is.
AussieMrs

A-HA! By George, I think you're right! I just couldn't picture them showing the cellulite...they're soooo loose! I guess if you're not wearing the right size, then you might have a problem.

Hmm, Jas,
Kinda like someone saying they're an extra-small, when they're really an extra-lard? I mean large! ;)
