The Lisa Sheila "thing"

Hi,
I'm a lurker but have wanted to post my opinion on this for awhile.

My take or opinion is this:
QVC management brought Sheila aboard to groom her as a future Lisa type host, an understudy if you will, that seems obvious. But, I also think management had in mind bringing Sheial on board to perhaps subtely tone down any diva behaviors, demands etc of the devine Ms. L.

I've worked in corps all my life and seen this kind of subtle manuever done before, kinda works to tone down salary demands too.

However, I don't think it turned out to be very subtle, I think Sheila is a very full of herself, and it has, or may have riled Lisa to the point where she very well could quit QVC.

I can't stand Sheila Johnson's preening for the camera, her camera hogish ways when there is a vendor sharing the spot light, her phoniness, her "God bless you" to callers and thankfully, althought I am in favor of anyone practicing any religion they like, her constant wearing of gold cross jewelry and making constant comments on air about being Catholic. I don't care about any of that, I'm watching a program about "stuff" I might want to buy so clam up already!

Has anyone noticed that if a vendor goes off to work with a model, such as Dennis Basso, that she so hates having the camera off her she will follow Dennis and insert herself into the group and get the camera back on herself?
And YES YES YES, the night camera crews have a crush on her big time and allow alot of this behavior.

I have been a long time customer and fan of QVC. If Sheila continue up the ranks and if Lisa leaves, I'm done, I will not continue to buy from a company that pits people against each other and well, frankley wonder if this Sheila gal visits someone's couch from time to time to get be allowed the kind of tolerance she is allowed for her verbal foul-ups and "all about me" behavior.

If they night crews have a crush on her, they don't show it.... because you hardly ever see any closeups of Sheila.

They just had a preview of Sheila coming up with a vacuum cleaner (that will begin at 2:00 am et. She flubbed up several words in just that 45 seconds. She probably blinked about 40 times or more. And she was really looking cross eyed tonight.

I think the Q needs a major overhaul in talent. Other than Lisa, there's really no other females on that I will sit and watch. And they don't have any guys on either that are worth watching. I didn't watch QVC when Mike Rowe hosted. I do like him on "Dirty Jobs" now though.

I'm no big fan of Lisa Robertson--I see her as an average host who I can take or leave, depending upon what she's peddling--but SHeila is in no way competition! Sheila is not good-looking, she has horrible hair, and really awful legs. Sorry, I don't see her as the big Lisa understudy...

That's an interesting observation, but I have to agree with Barbi that Sheila is in no way any real competition for Lisa. The sooner they all get it through their heads that there is only one Lisa R, like her or not, the better. It's just not working.

In regard to the "talent" particularly the of the male persuasion, I so agree. They really need to shake things up, and get more interesting hosts. And speaking of that, why in the heck is Camel Toe Dan just ALL OVER the Q these days? I can't remember a time when I've seen the little feller more, hawking everything from computers to jewelry.

For some reason, it irritates me when I find out he's doing a jewelry show. I remember when he said on air, that he told the powers that be, he wanted to get more involved in presenting the jewelry. They should limit him to computers and maybe the Sampler shows.

Shelia is doing daytime shows today? I haven't seen her before on daytime. She seems to be a little more polished today that the last time I saw her in the middle of the night. Of course, that could have been because I was half asleep. I don't think she's exactly cross-eyed. I think its just the way her eyes are set, kind of slanted, that makes her look that way. I'll have to watch closely this morning!

Linda Lou, Thanks! Though why anyone thought to put a lime on a kitty's head, I have no idea. I think your tiaras would be much more appropriate! Hope you had a nice anniversary and Valentine's Day!

Maybe the co. can see how well Lisa R is doing so they are trying to have others copy her style. It doesn't make much difference to me who the hosts are as long as they aren't totally obnoxious like Charla on the other channel.

Yes, the tiara is very pretty, well, maybe my little boy don't think so, but he has to take his turn, along with the girls! That lime is cute! And the kitty looks about the way my 3 do when Mama makes 'em wear their assorted headgear! And honestly, I was watching Sheila this morning, and I REALLY don't get the cross-eyed thing either.
