Bee,
Have you ever been to Buena Vista? That's where I went white water rafting many many years ago!

As Shelia would say, " I love, love, love Colorado!" BV was really nice. I think it was east of the moutains and it was protected in a little valley. I think it's very touristy now as it has become very poplular for white water rafters. When I was there in late 80's it was just a neat little town with awesome rafting.
My second favorite place in CO is Red Stone. That is on the west side of the mountains. We stayed at a place called Red Stone Castle. Roosevelt and J.P. Morgan stayed there in their day. It's supposed to be haunted.
Third is Crested Butte. Not the new ski lodge part of town, but the old town part. We stayed at a lodge up in the mountains, off the power grid during the summer. I don't ski, but used to love to hike and horseback ride.
Sorry, but when the white water rafting was brought up, couldn't help but remember. I spent many happy vacations tooling around CO!

No problem! Glad you had fun here!
I have been to Redstone, and the Redstone Castle ... but I didn't see any ghosts! :-)
There are so many fab places to visit in CO ... Estes Park, Boulder, Vail, Aspen, Telluride ... the list goes on and on. IMO, the only thing we are lacking is a coast ...

I agree, Colorado is AB-FAB! I haven't been there since I was a teenager, but I loved Denver and the tram that goes up to Pike's Peak. We also drove up to the top of the mountain where Cripple Creek is. That was scary w/no guardrail!

Cripple Creek - was it a SPAMSPAMSPAMSPAMSPAMSPAMSPAMSPAM town when you were there Jas?

Oh, gosh no! It was a ghost town. Is it a SPAMSPAMSPAMSPAMSPAMSPAMSPAMSPAM town now? That's crazy!

Yes ... it's now a SPAMSPAMSPAMSPAMSPAMSPAMSPAMSPAM town. We have 3, Cripple Creek, Blackhawk and Central City. All mountain towns ... fun to visit every once in awhile. Sometimes if we're bored on a Friday or Saturday night, we'll drive up to Blackhawk ... it's only about an hour from Denver. BIG MONEY BIG MONEY!

We have a few Native American SPAMSPAMSPAMSPAMSPAMSPAMs here, but they SUCK big time! I have gotten lucky in SPAMSPAMSPAMSPAMSPAM and Mississippi, but they are a rip-off here.

Aspen! That was a really cool place. I was there in the summer and there was the outdoor cafes to sit in and people watch. And we drove up to the Continential Divide National Park.

Aspen is fab. If you're lucky, you will run into a celeb. The shopping isn't the greatest (smalles LV store I've ever seen) but it's better than nothing! Great restaurants too! Theres nothing like Aspen in the winter!

lol ... did they really kill him off? I know about the controversy ... just not sure what they ended up doing on the show (I obviously don't watch much).

Issac Hayes quit because they (Trey and Matt) were making fun of Scientology. So they had Chef killed but he could always come back. You have to see the episode it ran last week.

I recorded it, but haven't watched it yet. I hear it's hilarious.
Rumor has it that Tom Cruise is threatening to not promote his next movie because of Scientology being dissed, and South Park fans are going to boycott "MI-3".

I've been boycotting Tom Cruise since he went off on Brooke Shields. The guy is a puppet for the "church" ...
I'm glad Nicole got out! Poor, poor Katie ... :-(
