I believe it's David's Cookies that offers a container of brownies and coffee cakes...they look absolutely divine!! Anyone try them? Those coffee cakes look awesome. I don't think I would buy them because I would end up eating them all by myself, but I was just wondering if anyone ever tried them.

Hellokitty, you should go to the HSN website and read the customer reviews. I took a quick look at them and there are a lot of favorable ones. I also noticed an offer of free S&H on a tin of those pecan meltaway cookies which sound yummy and a tin of rougaleh which I probably wouldn't like but it got very good reviews also.

HelloKitty,
I got two tins for Christmas, one of crumb cakes and one of the brownies. They were okay. I think they were just different from what I expected. They are very heavy. Hard to explain, kind of harder than I expected. However I did eat them all so they must not have been too bad! The taste was really good. I got the pecan meltaways for my MIL for Christmas and she liked them.

Hey H. Kitty!
I have had the cookies before, and they are scrumptious! YUM! I thought you were off the sugar, although. ;)

Me? Off the sugar? I don't think that could ever happen!! :)
Thanks for the feedback! I'm going to check out hsn.com...I do love chocolate ruggeluch (sp), but not sure about this brand. But I'm going to look. Brownies CAN be heavy. But oh, they look so good! And I like pecans...

Are these the same David's cookies that are made in Canada? We used to be able to find them in the supermarket but they disappeared. I saw some varieties at World Market but I haven't tried them. I remember that they were very good.

Personally, I don't know, pebbles. Check out the packaging on hsn.com and see if they are the same? They're kind of expensive, so it would be interesting to find out if they are the same.

Ruggeleh is a delicious and different cookie. It's nuts and sometimes raisins or other fruit rolled up in pastry. It has just the right crunch and melting pastry combination. Now I made myself hungry.
I never buy brownies because they are so easy to make and I like them fresh and still warm from the oven.

I'd prefer something chocolate over Ruggeleh any time!

WooHoo, Bookie, I am going to Costco on Mon. and those are definitely on my list. Have you ever noticed how much you can spend at Costco on impulse buys? Before you know it, that enormous cart is filled up.
