Hi v,
I read in one of the papers this morning that the Hasselbacks have some kind of stalker.......getting strange phone calls, etc.........and this person even reported them to the child authorities or something like that and they were investigated (nothing was found)..........sounds really scary.

Hi gals,
Looks like Elizabeth has some sort of stalker, but I hadn't heard anything about it until today (I thought Barbara was going to announce Elizabeth was leaving today too!)...I felt bad for Elizabeth because she really did seem quite upset about it today (although she didn't really show it this/last week). Not to rant on, but did anyone notice how stone-faced Joy was after the announcement? Meredith was clapping in support, Star was nodding and smiling in sympathy but Joy seemed like she wasn't paying attention, ruffling papers etc. etc. I thought it was extremely inappropriate...she could have at least patted her on the back or SOMETHING to show her support. :\
Anyways, here's an article I found on The View message board (posted by maggiemayhay)

The View’s Barbara Walters is standing up for co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck in the wake of anonymous allegations involving her infant daughter.
On Wednesday’s broadcast of the ABC daytime show (which airs in Canada on CTV), Walters read a statement from Elisabeth and her husband, pro football player Tim Hasselbeck.
A somber Elisabeth was seated beside Walters.
Walters said the Hasselbecks have been stalked and harassed by someone making false and malicious allegations involving the couple’s one-year-old child, Grace Elisabeth. The matter has been turned over to the district attorney, according to Walters.
In addition to contacting the Hasselbecks, sources claim an unknown person has contacted the New York City Administration for Children’s Services and at least one newspaper reporter.
“These allegations have been fully reviewed by child protective authorities and medical professionals and found to be absolutely false,” Walters said, reading from Hasselbeck’s statement.

Hi lllissaa.

Oh brother....another nut case on the loose. It's bad enough when it happens to an adult but when 'they' involve your children it gets very scary. Crackpot.
Thanks lllissaa.....how'd your weather? It's gorgeous here today...sun shining so bright and just a tiny breeze.......maaahvelous day!

Hi randkfan.......
Thanks for the article. Wow.....some serious stuff going on for the Hasselbeck's. Awful, just awful.
Re: Joy...........No, I didn't notice but that's because my eyes were on Meredith. I thought she was going to burst into tears......she looked like she was all teary-eyed after Elisabeth spoke.
I'm wondering if Joy is ready to leave. I still see and hear some digs being thrown by Star & Joy to each other. And it seems Joy & Elisabeth aren't the closest of friends....so maybe she'll leave when Meredith does. Unless they make an offer she can't refuse. lol
<<<I thought it was extremely inappropriate...she could have at least patted her on the back or SOMETHING to show her support. :\>>>
I agree. Like I said, it's one thing when shots are being thrown at the adults but you have to show some sympathy when their child is involved. Oh brother.....what the heck is going on at The View? lol

Hey guys,
Would you believe the person actually called Lloyd Grove from the Daily News? This is what he wrote today.......
As far as Joy----I think Star and Joy hate each other..........and Joy can't stand Elizabeth's political views.........I think now that Meredith is leaving she's really going to be unhappy, but I don't think she'll leave.....what else would she do?

Daytime television personality Elisabeth Hasselbeck has been having a very rough couple of weeks.
According to her colleagues on "The View" — on which the 28-year-old Hasselbeck is the designated conservative among Star Jones, Joy Behar, "Today" show-bound Meredith Vieira and mother superior Barbara Walters — she's being "stalked" by an anonymous caller.
The caller, apparently a woman, has been making false and creepy allegations about Hasselbeck and her husband, New York Giants quarterback Tim Hasselbeck, involving their 1-year-old daughter, Grace Elisabeth, to child protective services authorities — and, yesterday afternoon, to Lowdown.
A woman with a Southern twang, who refused to identify herself, phoned this column claiming to be "a friend of family," and, during a two-minute conversation, made unsupported allegations about the Hasselbecks before hanging up. I'm told that the New York City Administration for Children's Services has received and investigated similar unsupported anonymous complaints.
"This is a malicious attempt to harass our family," the Hasselbecks told Lowdown exclusively in a statement. "These allegations have been fully reviewed by child protective authorities and medical professionals and found to be absolutely false. This matter has been turned over to the District Attorney's office for prosecution of the individual(s) responsible for the false accusation."
Yesterday, Walters told me: "All of us at 'The View' love, respect and support Elisabeth. She is an enormous addition to our 'View' family, and we are just sad that this has caused her any pain." Walters speculated that Hasselbeck's tormentor "might be somebody who doesn't like her politics or maybe somebody who's crazy or maybe somebody who wants the baby. We just don't know."

Barbara Walters:
We also heard some disturbing news. Because you viewers are in a sense considered our family, we want to share something with you. In recent weeks Elizabeth and her husband Tim have been stalked and harrassed by an individual or individuals who seem to want to do them harm. Now someone has contacted newspapers. So today Elizabeth and Tim has asked me to read this statement, which I will do now:
"This is a malicious attempt to harrass our family. These allegations have been reviewed by Child Protective Authories and have been found to be absolutely false. This matter has been turned over to the district attorney's office for prosecution. The Prosecution of the individual or individuals responsible for the totally false accusations."
And for all of us here, Elizabeth and I think you know that you have our love and our respect and we couldn't care about you or Tim more than we do for and you have our admiration and affection and our total support.
Elizabeth Hasselbeck:
Thank You. That means alot to me. I can't tell you how much that really means to me alot. These false allegations and accusations have been very disturbing. But we are more happy now that we have this situation on it's way of being completely resolved. So we are thankful for that and for all of your support.

'View' host plagued by creepy calls
Calls from an anonymous troublemaker have distressed Elisabeth Hasselbeck of 'The View' and her husband, Giants quarterback Tim Hasselbeck.
