Thank you so much, BEE! I appreciate the little pick me up on such a lousy day! I walked out on my job today. I can't believe I did it. It is so unlike me. I just couldn't take it anymore!!!!
Yes, I did get fab jewels for my b-day, no power tools!!
I got a gorgeous white gold and emerald cut pink topaz ring in a mill-grained, fillagree vintage style setting and an iolite and tanzanite ring (which is the one I had to exchange cuz it was all included, but a replacement is on the way!).
Thanks again for your wishes!!!

Yeah, quit. But they've been calling me off the hook since I walked out at four trying to get me to come back. I don't know if I can. I knew it was a risk when I took the job two months ago that I may not like it. But I forced myself to think positively and make the best of things and see the good aspects of it, but what happened today was just the last straw.
Thanks for the well wishes, Francesca!!!!

If you're not happy there, I certainly wouldn't go back! Life is too short!

You are so right, but I am worried about how long it will take me to find another decent job. I was making really good money, and I had just decided to look for something else, but not leave the job I had untill I found another. Today was just a heat of the moment thing. It could be exspecially bad since I am the primary breadwinner. MY hubby is pretty much a stay at home dad. He is an artist who does the fancy graphics and airbrushing on cars and motorcycles (like you see on TV shows like American Chopper and Rides) out of the house. He gets about $2000 per project, and bussiness is really good right now, but with summer coming, the workload could come to an abrupt end at any moment.

Well, then maybe you should work them for more money? If they keep calling and are desperate ... you may win out! Then, keep looking for something better.

I would think your hubbies business would do better in the summer? Isn't that when the men like to show off their cars?

That's true, but most of them need them done by the spring or summer so they can show them off. If they are in the shop, you can't take 'em out. But last year he still had quite a few projects even during the prime riding months, so we shall see.

If they keep calling and are desperate . . . . .

You might have some bargaining power there, to go back under more tolerable conditions!

Did you hear anything on the design contest? That would be a fun B-day call! :' )

Thank you for your recent inquiry. I apologize for any inconvenience. The finalists were being chosen between April 10 and April 14. They will be announced around May 1, 2006. The contest winner will be announced on May 12, 2006.

That is what customer service wrote back to me. So you should all watch and root for me! I need a vacay SO bad!! When I hear something, you will all be the first to know, well, second, after my hubby!!!
