Hey guys, this is "employee".....

I'm having trouble loging in. Perhaps I'm being pegged? Who knows. Anyway, word around work is this site has been eyeballed, and some of the hosts now know about it. Some of the planners even check this from work now, so I hear.

Put two and two together, and you'll notice there are some new "unregistered" users. (like I'm having to do here). It may be a host or two, or maybe someone involved in the shows. I saw a reference on here specifically toward one of the show hosts personal email, so there's some "back and forth" going on.

Anyway, this is being watched. I'm out.

Welcome Jewelry TV hosts, producers, etc.

I hope in coming here, you see the many many nice posts about the hosts and JTV. Those of us that come here love JTV, watch it regularly and (can only speak for myself) order regularly ... so it is great to have you here.

We come here to discus gems, jewelry and yes, the hosts ... since the board is titled JEWELRY TELEVISION HOSTS. We comment on what we like, and what we don't. We also go off topic at times, discussing anything from our jobs, personal lives and families to American Idol and Food Network!

There are negative posts as well, but that's no different than a focus group, right? There is more good than bad, so read it all ... and have fun!

Again, Welcome! :-)

Welcome, everyone!

Good post beekeeper! :' )

I'm having trouble loging in. Perhaps I'm being pegged?
-----------------------------------------------------

I hope you're not stressing. I enjoyed your posts. You were far more friendly, gracious and diplomatic than several subsequent contributors who obviously feel they are entitled to be the BOARD POLICE of the WORLD WIDE WEB.

(I'm really loving that phrase now, just might add it to my siggy somehow.)

I would be more inclined to support a business that employed people like you, than what is projected by some of the others. Staff with that attitude tends to send me out the door with my wallet tightly zipped!

Have a great day "employee"; no worries. :' )

"employee"....
I hope Muzzy finds out who you are and I hope you are fired.

Why? If I'm fired, so are you. You're here too. I've said nothing bad, really. I said that Angie was a little difficult to work with, but that's about it. So what? She's a good person, but everybody knows how hard she can be to work with. Get over it. Everyone else does. And in her defense, I've heard her apologize to people after a show.

Should I get fired for defending Sharon? Should I get fired for defending Wendy? Should I be fired for saying that Misty generates good money for the company because she sells a lot of lower priced items that is more affordable to the common person? Or should I get fired for saying that they were looking at the contest pieces the other week?

And I dare say Muzzy has more important things to worry about than "shop banter" on a public bulletin board. She's a hard worker and busy person, and I would guess she would find all of this trivial, at best.

well then I guess you have nothing to worry about then do you?
Also....my current status has me in an "un-firable" position. LOL

P.S.
You didnt say "Angie was a little difficult to work with"....
you said she was a "nazi".
I dont need to go into the images that conjures up about a person.
But I do like the brevity of your last post and your attempt to "clean-up" your previous statements with your last post.

Hi again, to all JTV employees who may come lurking around to see what is so bad about us over here on the boards ...

Hope you are seeing that most of us are nice caring people, who may voice a not so pretty opinion from time to time, but of course this is something we are entitled to, being Americans and all.

I hope NOBODY gets fired for posting here ... also hope nobody gets too terribly offended by a colorful remark. From what I've read here on the boards, by probably the same people that are now being picked on for posting, JTV is a great place to work, very family oriented ... who couldn't have respect for that! I have had a lot of fun watching JTV, getting to know the hosts, learning alot about gems and jewelry ... and buying many pieces of jewelry and loose gemstones!

While I have been very open about changing the channel when certain hosts are on ... it's obviously no reflection on my opinion of JTV in it's entirety. Everybody can't like everybody ... right?!? I hope, because a few are offended ... we don't lose many of our posters. We too are like a little family ... and I would hate for an angry few to ruin that for all.

Dont see how the "regulars" would be effected in the slightest one way or another....you will still watch.....and you will still post.

Well ... as you can see, many of the regulars are not here ... I'm guessing, choosing to stay away because of the constant arguing.

kilo3_6
04-27-2006, 12:14 PM
oh well.

If you have a different opinion from mine....its free speech and a message board.

If my opinion differs from yours....it is angry and an argument.

I see.

The argumentative posts scare people away, thus leaving a very lonely place for those who come here ... even those who come here with nothing but nice things to say.

I hardly believe that anybody at JTV is kicking up a fuss about this forum. First of all, they probably have other things to worry about, and even if not, anyone who works in the public eye expects critisism. To work on television, you have to have a thick skin. And I think this goes for anybody in any job. I am a restaurant manager, and I know that for every person who loves me, there is probably another who hates me. It's just part of life, but I'm not stressing about it, and neither should they. Plus I'm sure that every host gets their fair share of nasty emails - far harsher than any of us would dish out- on a daily basis directly to their JTV mailbox, so I think this forum would just be another drop in the bucket to them.

I think Bee has expressed a sentiment that is important and honest... We're all here for the same reasons...We love JTV, we love jewelry, we love gems. We love having a place to go where we all share that common interest. We've been quite open about our feelings about things we like and things we don't like, but in no way should anyone judge our whole site as bad because we don't like the way one host wears her hair and we say so, or if we don't say 100% positive things 100% of the time. If you notice, as Beekeeper said, the majority of the posts go on to say very nice things about ALL ASPECTS OF JTV, the hosts, the gems, the jewelry, the atmosphere in general. How can that be a bad thing? We've been known to say some negative things at times, but show me any business that has 100% positive feedback. I think for the amount of business that JTV does, the negative feedback is astoundingly low.
Like I said before... Just because we might make a comment that we don't like Mandy's white eyeliner, for instance, that does not mean, in ANY WAY that we DON'T LIKE MANDY!!! Because that's nonsense! We've always been a tight knit group who've enjoyed having a place to go to share our similiar likes and dislikes, with many many more good things to say than bad.
I don't understand why there's such a big fuss being made when it's obvious that we all love JTV, we order from JTV, we enjoy watching and if there's something specific we don't like about a host we say so but we also have good things to say about that person as well. The hosts invite us in when they talk about their personal lives, so why can't we talk about that? They come into our livingrooms every day... of course we feel as though we know them! They talk to us "like they know us"! That's one of the many reasons why we like them so much. Is that so bad? I hope HOPE that this resolves itself, I would hate to think that something like this could bring down a great board, dedicated to a great company.

All I can say is that it is a shame if some people are feeling nervous about losing their job over a website.

If anything this place should be giving them some insite on the good, the bad, and the ugly. I for one would want to know what everyone is really thinking. Whatever that thought may be.

beekeeper
08-02-2006, 09:27 AM
I agree! I mean ... really! You'd think corporate would want input from ... their customers!

It's not like we're gaining insider secrets that can take down the place! Angie has OCD! Nicki is a diva. Misty has a protective boyfriend. Big whoop!

I totally agree. We comment on things that are currently happening in the consumer world, as consumers. You'd think they'd want our feedback the way they look to the Gem Industry magazines for what's going on there. We're pretty much the only voice that JTV has as far as who's buying what, who likes this, who doesn't like that... I searched the Web over and besides us in this little cobwebbed corner, there's no where else. I'd think they'd be happy that we care enough and welcome our input.

Thanks for the bump, Bee!

Unless Mysty ... they know, that WE KNOW! Tanzanite isn't all that rare! The mines are NOT depleting! 10k gold citrine rings do NOT retail for $800! Light weight 10k 1 carat diamond cluster rings do NOT retail for $1500!

THE JIG IS UP.

lol Bee... when I hear the word "jig" I think of Ashley Simpson doing that jig when she got snagged lip syncing on SNL! How totally embarrasing! That she actually did a JIG!

Errr Errr Err! Neener NEENER NEENER!

You know, I have some swamp land in Florida... after ya buy that $800.99 10k Citrine ring ... come see me.
I have just the thing for ya.

That's what my new sales pitch is gonna be.

Not you personally, Bee. You know better.

beekeeper

lol ... so do you Mysty! I think we all know better ... some just don't have THIS FABULOUS outlet to vent and make fun of stuff! :)

I got "the jig is up" from Sex and the City. The episode where Miranda is looking for a wedding dress, has already had a child and the sales girl is bringing her WHITE dresses. She says "enough with the white dresses, I have a kid ... the jig is up"!

LOVE and miss that show!

Do you watch "Talking about Sex and the City" on TBS?
I hate to say that I've never seen a single episode. Maybe I should rent the series from the beginning and watch it from day one? Sounds like a plan!

Retail prices ARE crazy, but where in the heck do they shop for those numbers??? Someone would have to be completely ignorant, which unfortunately most are in that department, so I guess they capitalize on that. Sad.

So what is the deal with Tanzanite? I mean EVERY TIME I tune in it's Tanzanite. No joke. Ying Yang... up the.

Are they or aren't they? I'd say ... yes... but they got a really big, reallllly good buy. Truthfully, I'm still holding out for the day when my measly 1.25 ct trillion hits it big

Or not. Who the heck knows? I just love the sparkly turntables and Robert's ties.

I borrowed the whole series from my brother (don't ask me whay he had it) and I LOVED it. Beware: It is addictive, and you will sit down and watch whole seasons at a time. The best episode is the guy dressed up in the sandwich suit. And you have to love John Corbett as Aidan.

I saw this incredible 1ct marquis tanzanite ring at Alvin's today on clearance. Gorgeous deep color in a really nice protective setting with inlaid lapis, MOP and I belive Carnelian. Really unusual, great quality and not hollowed out inside, but still too rich for my blood even on Clearance for a thousand bones. What a bummer.

Aiden on Sex and the city ... which time did you like him JF? The first time (long hair) or the second time (thinned down and short hair)? I'm a big fan of his second appearance. When he proposed to Carrie, in the middle of the street in the middle of the night ... swoon ...

jewelfreak
08-05-2006, 10:26 AM
All of the above, but I would have to say he was much sexier with the long hair, but I'll take him any way I can get him! LOL It still makes me hostile that Aidan and Carrie didn't get back together in the end. I HATE Big. He's ugly and a big j e r k o f f. I know it's only a TV show and not real, but what did she see in him? Ugh.

beekeeper
08-07-2006, 07:54 AM
As much as I liked Aiden, I'm glad she ended up with Mr. Big. It was meant to be ... she compared every man she dated to him. AND, he was a jerk at times ... but in MY fantasy land, he finally realized he was meant to be with only one woman and settled down with Carrie ... and lived happily ever after! :)

Out of the S&TC Loop! Totally. Tho anyone dressed as a sandwich gets a thumbs up from me, on the balls principal alone.
So what do you think the deal with Tanzanite REALLLLY is?

Horse Hockey?

The guy in the sandwich suit, would tell Miranda to "eat me" as she walked by. It was hilarious!!! I can't remember, but I think she ended up sleeping with him ... lol ...

jewelfreak

No, I don't think Miranda slept with him. If I remember correctly, she started to like the attention and stomped up to him one day and demanded he show his face. Then I think she realized he was just a perv who wasn't even really interested. I laughed my butt off, though.

As far as Tanzanite, I must say you see very little in the stores at all let alone good quality, so I feel that means something. But on the other hand, I have heard from several sources that there is no real danger of it running out anytime soon. But that's not to say that anything that comes out will be anything good. But I have trouble believing anyone has any concrete way of telling how much is or isn't left. My thing is that I'm afriad to spend a lot on a stone, because knowing my luck, thay would find a new, humongazoid source the next day that only sprouted the best and biggest tanzies.
