What do you all think about the new scheduling format - each show is four hours nomatter what. I like it, except I think four hours is way too long for an Exclusively Gold show. I like plain gold and all, but only so much. Bring on the gemmy sparklies is what I say!!!!!

Hi Jewel! I like the new schedule a lot better than the old one, remember it used to be 10:00pm to 3:00am, 3:00am to 7:00am, 7:00am to 12:00 noon, noon to 5:00pm and 5:00to 10:00pm? Since I only get JTV from 10:30p to 9:30a, I'd only be able to see two shows and a bit of another. Now there's a much more varied selection...
I'm with you Jewel! Bring on the Sparklies! I never watch the all gold shows... guess I'm just a Sparkly-girl!
I miss when they'd alternate gems, jewelry, gems, jewelry. Now it seems there's a lot more jewelry shows than gem shows. Do you notice that?

I never last through a whole broadcast so I don't mind the gold shows. If I think a program is really going to be wow I go on line and look at the product line-up there.

The way the gold price is still climbing, it'll be interesting to see if they can keep showing that kind of selection; without really diluting it with Made in China 10K. The emphasis right now is Italian 14K; just a bit of 10K.

I'm getting the channel on DirectTV. What I would really like to see is an on-screen program quide. Right now they just call every hour of the day "regular programming".
LOL That's helpful!

Mysty, I thought it did still alternate gems~jewelry~gems. Then, I'm not tuning in as much as I used to, either.

Yeah, I did notice that. I used to pretty much only watch the gem shows - the only thing I bought for a long time was the mixed faceted kits. The first piece of jewelry I purchased was for my mom, and I was so pleased with it I took the plunge and ordered some things for myself - but you all know how THAT has been going.
But now I really only watch the jewelry shows, cuz I already have a lot of great stones waiting to be made into custom pieces, but it's too exspensive. So right now I just buy finished pieces.

LOL! I have comcast digital, and every show is simply described as "shopping"! DUH!!!!
Speaking of, if any of you have comcast and get on demand, JTV has on demand jewelry. Every week or two they change the offerings, but there is about 15 items, each one minute recordings with Janine and Jerry.
