When Lisa R says this, it drives me nuts.
Now they are using a similar approach to sell condos in La Jolla. They took old apartments and slapped on some granite countertops and pergo on the floors and are selling them as condos. "Now you can live in La Jolla starting at $59 a day!" Give me a break!

They are starting to do that on ALL the shopping channels, Jas.

Any way to divert you from the fact that you are parting with your cash, maybe in some cases, unnecessarily. They have to make the cost seem as insignificant and justifiable as possible.

Believe me, if I really want it, I FIND the money for it. I don't need to play games with myself.

....and i i don't buy it, it'll cost me $.00, no S/H and no returns!

we are all too smart for that $x/day stuff; i do like easy pay

i shopped online today at Sephora
lots of samples, some S/H and state tax on products BUT one of their warehouses is not too far from here--
shipping is always ultra-fast

I had to resend an item back to HSN- and my shipping was not credited. Or the hosts will say it's only $30. But they forget the sales tax and S & H. So the item ends up being $40. I also can't figure out how they determine S & H. A whole luggage set
S & H was like $8 and a tiny purse was $9 for S & H???

That is irritating but I am MORE irritated by a 49.97 price tag when they go on about for less than $50.00!!!
Like how sttoooooooooooooooopid are we supposed to be?

It drives me nuts too when Lisa says that. What, do they think we can't do the math? The public television and radio stations do that too on their fund drives. Or they'll say something like "You spend more than that each day at Starbucks." _I_ buy at Starbucks maybe once every 3 months. So it's not MY money they are talking about.

I just bought a 2,000 calorie decadent chocolate cake. Wow, if I just eat a bite a day for a month, that's only 65 calories ("and change") a day!
