This may have been brought up prior but obviously i missed it ... WHY does Jean the QUACK Queen always wear a 1980's John Travolta Headband??? Everytime she is on I think of that movie ...

I would love to see her without it. Maybe she looks at it as a good luck thing and is afraid if she quits, her quacker luck when run out! It really is a distraction!!!! What does everyone think of todays TSV?

I have heard her say that it is holding her face up and if she takes it off, everything will fall. I wonder if anyone has seen her without it. I haven't bought anything this spring from Quacker. Nothing has appealed to me so far.

I have a theory, that since she's obviously such a large person, the headband might be in place to mop up perspiration. Not a pretty theory, but it's feasible.

I think she mentioned why she wears a headband in her book. I also believe someone here bought the book and told us why she wears it. I cant remember who read it and what the reasoning was behind the headband. For some reason, I am thinking its LA who bought the book, although, I could be wrong.

Maybe it has ice or cooling agent in it. The lights are very bright on the stage. Is anyone going on the Quacker Cruise, I think it's in October. (It's sold out.) I like
when Jeanne comes comes on the show (personality), but her clothes are not my style. Too bright and flashy. Jeanne and Leah were laughing all night, last night.

I wonder if the reason why there are so many players in the NBA who wear headbands now is because they are giving props to Jeanne?

Nnnnnaaawwwwww!

If I hear any of those 7-footers in the NBA start quacking, I'll know who makes their uniforms!

The reason that Jeanne wears her headband is because the humidity in Florida is so high it was making her hairstyle droop down. Her daughter suggested that she wear a headband to keep her hairstyle up. This is all written in her book.

I found an old thread about this and didn't bump it because it contained many pages of attacks and fighting in between the questions and answers.

Here's the info from her book:

25 years ago JB moved to FL after being widowed. the humid air of FL did a number on her hair & that was bothering her.

"I looked like a drowned rat who put her finger in an electric outlet". her daughter said why don't you wear a headband like the young girls? her daughter "whipped" one up & JB liked the result.

it kept her hair "up and back ... and under control". she puts it on "then pull(s) all the wrinkles up. Instant face lift!". then she talks about the gorgeous 5'9" partner and how she could be identified as the one with the headband instead of the "short, chubby" one when they received phone calls.

"I've saved the bestest reason till last", Jean says. When she is out, she is more identifiable to Quackers. They point to her forehead then say, "It's you, isn't it?". Says she has met hundreds of people because of the headband.

Finally, she says, "No, I do not have a built-in ridge after all these years. But (sic) has become my trademark. It's always a good idea to keep your head above the crowd".

I bought two QF TSV's today - one in turquoise and one in green. they were not that loud. I had gotten an advanced order on Saturday and ordered the turq one then and then today ordered the green.

Those sweater sets are cute, backseat. They really don't look Quackery and that sort of preppy look is back in style. Izod has similar styles out now. It's nice that the QF line has the longer tops and sweaters, too. So many things nowdays stop just below the waist and aren't very flattering to most women.
