Rumor has it that Misty may also say "Hi" to "Miss Bee", "Miss Mysty", "Miss Francesca", "Miss Jewel" and a couple of others!
Look for it around 3:55pm eastern on JTV!!!

I can't believe Scott actually said "Fak-n-Bak"
Good Lord! I hope she's a good sport... I won't EVER mention her orange tan AGAIN! She did seem to be in good spirits...
Hope she knows we didn't mean any harm!

Misty is an incredibly GREAT sport when it comes to this sort of thing!
You couldnt have picked a nicer target!
She has a great sense of humor as well as a sharp wit, beleive it or not.
Scot has a great comedic sense as well.
Both of them worked as co-hosts together years ago back when the company was still called ACN.
Also...contrary to previous posts.....they get along very well.
They are hilarious together!
It was a cosensus that it was thought that you guys would get a kick out of the orange comments and the tanning comments as well as being recognized on the air!
The show-hosts are great sports indeed!

Misty was AWESOME! She's one heck of a trooper, let me tell ya! How cool and how sweet of her! I've got to admit, she is one smooth cookie. I felt awful when Scott commented on "Fak-n-Bak". She was laughing though and seemed to take it all in fun! I wish I could remember who all she "shouted out HI's" to... I know it was Jewel, Bee, me... was it Francesca? Shoot! Does anyone else know?
That was like one of the neatest things EVER! So to answer our question...
YES the Show Hosts DO know about this board!!!

Well hello fellow chatters,I hope you enjoyed mine and Scotts hello and goodbye today for all of you in this chat room.We had a ball, laughed our butts off at the things on this sight,as some may have seen tonight. As all has seen Scott and I do not dislike each other that is the fartherest from the truth. He is one of the host that I would love to host with!I want to thank everyone in here for entertaining me so these last few weeks, and also chatting with so many of my friends who have defended me on here,I know everyone is entitled to there own opinions but when your just a normal person like I am,~working to pay my bills~it was kind of an awakening on how many people care about the things that that dont seem that important ~like whether I have a tan or not!It was amazing to me how much you actually watch and know what I say and how often I say it hehe. Its hard to come up with something different to say for 4 or 5 hours without repeating yourself, considering I have about 20-25 hours a week of talking to do {unscripted}.But to all I hope you have a great night,Ill be here often because Im a computer freak myself!!!!hehehehehe I hope you all keep shopping JTV!!Oh by the way check out Jewelrytelevision.com tons of free shipping on mothers day specials!Lots of spring selections on my show from 8pm-12am tomorrow night{If you shop for jewelry}If not Cheryl is up before I am!!! I noticed the same thing Hellfire did! WTG Misty! Yes I LOVE your name!!! lol I'm a computer geek too, I've had the same "handle" since <really> 1995! Uh oh my baggage and wrinkles are showin' with that statement! lol
Has anyone ever "cursed" on the air before? I actually heard a show host on another shopping network say the "BS" word and it went out there like a giant tamale! Guess someone was "asleep at the switch" LOLOL
The reason I thought you and Scott were "at odds" was that one time he seemed mad that you said something.. what was it... about his tie or his shirt? That was the only time tho... maybe he was just in a bad mood... You were going off and him and Casey were going on.... It was a few months ago.
I love how Scott gets so excited and throws his tweezers around! He seems like he can barely contain himself, doesn't he??? Or when he hops up and down in his seat cuz of the "zingers"! He's hilarious!

More to come as I think of them!!You know you need a blooper thread on here!!that would be funny!!!hehehe

So did you used to do gemstone shows? I wish you still did, that would be so cool to see you and Dawn together! Or did Dawn do Jewelry?? I've heard a lot about Kim but don't think I've ever seen her... I've only been watching for about 4 years. From what I've heard she sounds like a really nice person.
Oh my! I would have whithered away and DIED if I ever said "Booby Earrings"! LOLOL How do you not totally laugh your butt off? What on earth do you do if you get one of those uncontrollable laughing fits like you used to get in Church or <God Forbid> at a Funeral??? I know! You hit that button with the music, right??? lol! I remember Dawn and Cheryl were hosting this time and Dawn just lost it... then Cheryl lost it... tears streaming down their faces... helpless... I was rolling on the floor!
The worst was the time Dawn knocked a HUGE turntable full of oh, I don't know... a MILLION gemstones onto the floor! All you heard was "WHOOSH! tingtingtingtinggggting" Ugh, it was horrible! She looked really mad! I felt so bad for her! Cheryl was like "uh oh....uh boy!"

~Oh No~
*full figured*
I can think of another "F" word for that one and it's not the one you're thinking! Hrrmmpppffftt!
For some reason I've been having fun discovering the strangely humored folks who work for the "Microsoft Word's" Thesaurus Department today. I entered, just out of curiosity, "full-figured". Nothing. But in the drop down menu there was a choice entitled "Full Bosomed". Hmmm... I clicked on that. One of THOSE choices was "Buxom". I clicked on that and there they had THREE choices to pick from... "Busty", CHUBBY, and (ah no!) "Healthy". I clicked on "chubby" just to see and almost fell out... the first thing on the list was *seriously* "Slightly Fat". How many women do you think work in the Thesaurus Department at MS Word???
Especially since the SECOND alternative to the word "Chubby" was "Tubby"??? <shaking head>
I prefer "Shapely" or "Comely" myself!

Mystylady cannot hold a gemstone in her cleavage (ok, I probably can, but not without a lot of duct tape holding me together, and/or an $80.00 Victoria Secrets "body bra" or *holding my elbows together in front of me like this ooommmppphhh*)!
Whereas HF can probably do it without any tape at all... lucky duck! lol see I managed to incorporate gemstones into this conv somehow!

Never heard of Chris Cornell??????????? AHHHHH!!! I can't associate with you anymore!! J/K
No, he is an amzing musician, with THE best voice you've ever heard. He was in Soundgarden, and is now in Audioslave and did a solo project a few years ago. The best thing he ever did was a project called Temple of the dog back in the early nineties, a combined effort with members of Pearl Jam and Soundgarden as a tribute to another Seattle musician who died of a drug overdose. The songs are absolutely beautiful, and a good place to start if you are not a hard rock fan - these are more mellow. Check him out - you will be amazed by his voice and range and his lyrics ar are really thoughtful and meaningful. And it doesn't hurt that he's a real hottie!!!

Yeah, that is one messed up video! The part that cracks me up is the Barbie-Q!!!! Thats one of my least favorite Soundgarden songs, but it's still cool. I've actually been trying to get a band together to do a Cornell tribute of all of his music, but the musicians I've met with have been real duds. My hubby's band just fell apart, so maybe I'll take the remnants of his band to start something new. He just wants to play - he'd rather do his original stuff, which is a really good, so it's a real shame that all of that hard work is down the drain - but he'd be happy at this point to play anything.

05-09-2006, 10:48 PM
Duh! I know Soundgarden!!! And Audioslave! I just didn't know that his name was Chris Cornell... <rolls eyes> I know for next time, now! I LOVE Pearl Jam! Their new CD rocks, from what I've heard so far. I only listen to Alternative and maybe some Classic Rock as a "buffer" in the car... He loves Country... that's fine, but NOT for me.
Last Summer I got to meet Staind, 3 Doors Down, Breaking Benjamin and No Address! The Alt. Rock station I listen to was having a "Who Can Have The Noisiest Clothes Dryer" Challenge. I had just called to request a song so it was already on my redial. I was one of three people who had to put whatever they thought would make the loudest noise into their dryer, turn it on so they could hear, and the DJ's would vote on it. Well mine was a tie, so they did "5 calls says it all", where the first 5 listeners who called would vote and whoever got the most votes would win. I got 4 out of the 5!! lol I had pots and pans, a can of peas, a handful of change... it's a wonder the thing didn't break! Afterwards I asked what I won. He said "You won the "Ultimate Concert Experience"! I took my brother who was visiting from NJ! We met in the studio and watched No Address do an "unplugged" kind of concert, then we met them in the conference room & just hung out there, then we had dinner with 3 Doors Down and after dinner we met and hung out with Staind... Breaking Benjamin showed up too late so we didn't hang with them but their concert was ...oh! So sweet. We got pics with all the bands and it really was something else! Aaron Lewis is FINE!
jewelfreak
05-10-2006, 08:28 PM
That rocks, meeting all of those bands! I am SOOOOOO jealous! And I can't believe you didn't kill your dryer! A can of peas? LMAO!!! So Aaron Lewis was fine? I thought he always seemed a little fugly, but, hey - you saw him in person, so you know better than I!!
mystylady
05-11-2006, 07:01 AM
LOL fugly! He's really soft spoken and sooo nice. REALLY pretty eyes.
The guys from 3 Doors Down all wore hats! Either a baseball cap or a knit hat. I guess they don't like anyone to "fully see them" before a concert or something. One of their "pyro" people was telling us about their Main Pyro Guy and he warned us in advance that this guy has the "Power Boom" or something like that that he does... once their unfortunate bodyguard who looks EXACTLY like Hulk Hogan, was standing too close to where it was going to Go Off, and the poor guy got blown right off the stage! lol So he told us to be ready for it. We thought we were, until it went off! HOLY CRAP! Flames shot out like a mile and it was LOUDER THAN DYNOMITE I bet! We both flew out of our seats! Even the mosh pit moved WAY back after that one! They have a totally firey show, boy!
Does your area give "No Address" any airplay? Breaking Benjamin?
Staind opened with Mudshovel! What a day!
It started at 3:00pm and ended after 1:00am!

Does your area give "No Address" any airplay? Breaking Benjamin?
----------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah, we hear them. We have two rock stations - the Buzzard and what used to be called Extreme Radio which is now K-Rock. It sucks now since they changed over. All they play is alternative, but not even the good stuff - just old, weird obscure stuff and crap like Fallout Boy with a few good songs mixed in. I'm more of a metal and classic rock girl. But I do like Avenged Sevenfold, Mudvyne, Shinedown and a few other new-ish bands. Don't know if I like them enough to buy the albums, though. I'm pretty set in my ways - Bob Seger, Alice Sooper, the Cars, Temple of the Dog, System, Audioslave, Slayer, Carcass, Megadeth, etc. Takes a while for me to take a chance on something new.

Maybe if we start ragging on the hosts again, they will come back! ;-)

Wow. It is definitely cool to see you guys dig us at JTV. Regardless of the good or bad, you find us important enough to talk about. If any of you need any gemstone advice, I would love to help you out. I completed my AJP, GG, and Graduate Pearls with top honors. In fact, I am going to be featured on the GIA website as their success story.
I miss hosting (98-2004) but I love being an internal consultant. I have been assisting Jerry Sisk on the first book JTV has ever released. It is on Gemology.
It is a very detailed book and I have tried to fill it full with many photos, charts and graphs in addition to the text.
BTW, I do not think you will have to talk bad about anyone to get them to talk. I mean, we are people. Yes, we will get on your nerves (right mystery lady??) or have bad hair days etc. but the bottom line is that these hosts are truly unscripted and want to feed their kids. That's it.
Misty, kudos girl. I have never known another host that works any harder!!!OK in addition to the DIVA!
My favorite gem (for now) is faceted manganotantalite and willemite. They rock! hehe!
Best,
Patara Marlow former JTV host

Welcome Patera! Now I feel kinda bad. I didn't mean to hurt your feelings :-( Sometimes you did annoy me but you also sold me a few items too... we all have those days, I guess. I've made some not nice comments about you in the past and I truly apologize. I hope you also read the posts I wrote commending you on your Gemology Cert!
I have seen the error of my ways, as far as judging someone unfairly and putting it out there like a big Matzah Ball for the World to read... You know it was almost like you show hosts were on another Planet or something... Like Julia Roberts or Jennifer Aniston or *insert famous person* and it never even occured to me that any of you would care about what a bunch of hens were clucking about in the henhouse, so to speak. I know better now and I appreciate your writing and letting us know how you're doing. When is your book coming out? I love reading anything I can about Gemology and want to go to school someday when I can afford it. Online courses just aren't the same, IMHO.
What is faceted manganotantalite and willemite? I've never heard of them! They sound exotic and cool, though!
Sorry I was a meanie, Patera. Forgive and forget??? ;-)

AHHHHH! Have you all noticed that our headline at the top of the page has been replaced with Kelly Ripa? Does anyone even care that the show is ending? I didn't even know she had a show and I have never even heard of thet show period!
I'm sorry, but that woman drives me nuts. She is SOOOOOOO fake. Is it just me?

Dratts! Does this mean we can't say we don't like someone's hairdo anymore?
I'll tell you what, half my friends are still cackling about my before and after haircut!
*Calling them up to let them know they're doing wrong* LOL!

lol HF! Hair DOES grow back, eventually! I got the worst haircut EVER, or maybe SCALPING is a better word, and it took almost two years to grow it out just so it looked halfway normal! I looked like a peeled onion.
My 2 cents: I think commenting on a show host's hair or clothes or whatever is still OK as long as it's not done in a mean way... like the way I USED to be sometimes...

Jewelfreak: I like Kelly Ripa on Regis and Kelly, sometimes! She like everyone else has her good days and her bad days... I'll take her over Kathy Lee Gifford in a New York Minute!
I hardly ever watch TV in the AM cuz I'm usually listening to "The Free Beer and Hot Wings Morning Show" on the radio. A laugh riot to say the least and MUCH more entertaining!!!
I knew Kelly R had a TV show but never watched it. 8^\
Seems like they've been scraping the bottom of the barrel for TV show ideas lately. Same with Movies. You know it's getting bad when they start re-making movies that were bad to begin with. Why re-make movies anyway??? The Poseidon Adventure was already a Great flick... Next they'll be remaking "The Godfather" or "Breakfast at Tiffany's"!
How can you NOT hear "Moon River" and picture Audrey Hepburn outside of *sigh* Tiffany's?

Oh Mysty ... SUCH a good movie (Breakfast at Tiffany's) ... you're right about moon river, can't hear it and NOT think of Audrey!

Does anyone know what the hell that was all about? Is Maury one of our unregistered guests? LOL.
A think what that kid really needs is Maury to spring for a phonics and grammer workbook for her!!! Sorry. Sometimes I just can't keep my B@#!H tendancies at bay!

Yeah, it's easy to go on about television folk and the way they act or look.
We don't think any of them will ever know what we said. We just don't think
they have feelings. Sometimes I've squirmed at the way people on some of these boards have talked about Tom Cruise for instance. It's down right mean and cruel. Often uncalled for.
I'm guilty of trashing some of the American Idol girls........ya know, anyone of them that 'certain' people thought were 'cute'. LOL!

Sorry HF, but I have to disagree. While there is no real excuse for trashing people, good ol' Tom is getting excatly what he desierves after trashing Brook Shields. What comes around goes around.
I mean, what the HELL does he think he knows about postpartum depression? And to tell women they shouldn't be doing what they need to do to get better? I mean, I certainly don't think it's right the way doctors are now prescribing meds to people like it's candy, but some people really need these pills. There are instances where women with postpartum have actually KILLED themselves and/or their baby! Does Tom Cruise really want people to die because HE doesn't think they should take drugs?
Come on Tom, we're not talking about sniffing glue or doing whip-its here!
Sorry about that! Sometimes the OT tangent demon posseses me...

I just wanted to say that when I wrote this, I was referring to myself personally! I don't want anyone to think that I was addressing everyone or saying what I thought every poster should do, just Moi!!
I didn't like how I was kinda mean sounding in past posts and decided that it wasn't cool for me to be that way, is all.
Just wanted to add that, FYI!

Hiii looo Bookie!
Yeah, it's great!
Haven't heard from that many lately; Patera came and visited... other than that, haven't seen much of the JTV folks. That's OK tho, I'm sure they're lurking about.... hopefully not waiting for something "un-nice" to hear before they re-appear!
