I accidentally caught a glimpse of Patti yesterday wearing what appeared to be jeans. That woman has a pair of saddle bags that would make Roy Rogers proud. May she soon follow Sheila to greener pastures.

One can only hope. I hate to say it but I think Patti is there for the long haul, saddlebags and all......

The bosses at QVC seem to love Patti, afterall, they gave the women her own show.

You know, Patti isn't one of my favorite hosts, and god knows I would look worse on camera than she does. I do wonder how much say each host has over their wardrobe and if they are forced to wear the QVC fashions regardless of how they look in them. Those jeans did look horrible on Patti, and she doesn't seem to make the most intelligent fashion choices, but there must be stylists on QVC that are to blame as well. There are ways to dress imperfect bodies to not emphasize trouble areas.

Maybe the jeans wouldn't have been so bad if they had fit! Good grief, I swear the woman poured herself into pants that were six sizes too small. Add to that her pigeon-toes stance, and she's a disaster!

Patti's weight has never bothered me much, if she only wore clothes that were more flattering to her figure....What has bothered me the most in the past few years is Patti's attitude, she's gotten so obnoxious that it's hard to watch her with the sound on; thank goodness for Closed Captioning....

Sometimes I'm just amazed at what Patti is wearing, and thinking how her worst *assssset* is sometimes the focus of the entire show, I can't help but look at her big bum!
It's like the freak show is right outside on the street, you have to check out that bearded lady,, or the wolf-boy,, you just have to look!!!
sometimes when she wears ruffled skirts, it's not so bad, her upper body looks fine,,
but, that happens very little
poor Patti and her rump

I agree totally with that statement,,
she acts so silly now
just someone please , cover her rump in a better way,, maybe work on the lighting on the set,, give us something here

Rowan, I totally agree with your post. And I think you made the same points that have been made here many time about Patti, only you weren't mean about it.

Yes it is. I did not start this thread. When I read the really mean things posted about Patti's body I wonder what the posters look like; whether they are 10s on a scale of 10. I think Rowan made the same point but in a dignified way (or, as you said PC). Perhaps Rowan realizes nobody is perfect and so doesn't want to describe Patti's figure flaws meanly.

Hershey,
I'm a little confused here,
you just said some not so flattering things about Shelia
but we cannot say not so flattering things about Sausage Patti?
so,, no big ass talk
but we can make fun of how they sound?
which is worse?
I think you are just trying to be mean to me,
for what reason I do not know,
I've also thought we were allowed to speak freely here
whatever our opinion,
good or bad
oh well,
say what you want,
we are allowed to speak freely

Jennifer,
I wasn't being mean to you. I was expressing my opinion. I didn't say anywhere that you shouldn't express yours here, so why the accusations? I was agreeing with Rowan's post and commenting that a lot of other posts on this thread were pretty mean to Patti.

Yes, I think Sheila is dumb and was a very poor show host because she is not a very articulate person. Maybe that is being mean to Sheila.

I also think I misstated Rowan's point above. Rowan said Patti's body didn't bother her but Patti makes poor clothing choices that accentuate her body flaws. I do agree with this. I dislike that QVC chooses a lot of Beauty Queen type show hosts and I welcome "regular" looking hosts who are not gorgeous facially and/or have "regular" people's bodies with figure flaws. Therefore, I agree with Rowan that I don't mind Patti's body but do think it unwise of her to squeeze into clothes that are much too small for her and in other ways are unflattering to her.

Hershey,

Ok, I thought you were picking on me,
I'm glad you were not, Maybe I'm paranoid because of the whole fight/banning/pm-mess
I also think the Q was picking way too many model looking host, but when they changed and picked the reg people a few years ago,, they slid Sheila in there,,and the other newer host get made fun of as well, I don't think it matters who they hire, everyone picks out there flaws here and makes fun of them, because it's easy too, it's not nice, but quite easy, and to the people who are addicted to the Q, sometimes you can take so much of these flaws and they are hard to get past without voicing one's views on butts, voices, big ears, and yumyum faces,

I've always been of the opinion that the QVC hostesses have no "stylist" per se. I cannot believe they are allowed to choose whatever they want to wear in any given show.

That being said, I do think Patti has the (pear-shaped) figure of many women out there. I'm considerably thinner than I used to be, so I totally understand the stuggle with food. It ain't easy! The camera adds about 10-15 extra pounds and when the clothing you choose is so unflattering, well, you're not going to look good. I'm going to risk sounding like an hsn perv (LOL), but I think Patti looks fine. There are so many women on TV who are rail thin (Teri Hatcher), so it's nice to see someone who isn't a size zero.

Nicely said, missitaly.

I wish Patti would go on the show "What Not to Wear". Skin tight tops with her bottom just doesn't go....

patti needs a stylist or something ... she is one of those gals that wears what she thinks is 'hot', 'cool', 'fashionable' on others and not taking into consideration her body type. there are many styles she should and could be wearing but obviously she in not asking for advice or help. those short, tight tops do nothing for her ... even though she claims to be a size 4 and or petite (gag) let alone pouring herself into pants that are tight and looking like a sack of potatoes. does she have stock in vaseline or what? she obviously has a self image problem and will not take one word of advice from anyone. it is her way or no way. fine ... then we will continue to cut her down ... maybe that is the attention she feeds on ... negative.

I don't think Patti is pear-shaped at all...blimp-shaped is more like it! Sorry, I don't understand how someone that size and shape can stuff herself into too-small clothes. And, if she truly thinks she is a size "small," where are the people in charge? It doesn't do QVC's fashion shows one bit of good to have hosts parading around in unflattering clothing.

Or outright lying about their size. What good is it for them to give the measurements if a host continuously says she is a size small and truly a size XL. Either give your true size or don't give the your size. Maybe if customers would return garments because they were too small and write on the return slip "I am smaller than Patti and she is a small" TPTB would take some action. No, they wouldn't. What am I thinking?

I love it when the men encourage the diptard to wear tight pants. What would you guys do if you were on a date with her and the pants ripped up the butt or the zipper broke? What if she was meeting your best friends or family? If it is not looking good for live television, it's going to look just as bad in person and she could have an accident on TV. The sad part is that she is so uncomfortable in the tight clothes - mentally and physically - I have no idea why she insists on making herself look and feel bad. She expects those little blue cards to hide everything! I also love when they dog her with the camera. Of course, she has no idea because her back is turned. :)
