You look very skinny. Is that a bad thing? I guess it's not true - the old saying... "you can't be too skinny or too rich".
I think part of the saying is true - but I have seen people that are too skinny.
Well, there's not a new sheriff in town, but the old one seems to be polishing his badge on a more frequent basis. To put it mildly.

Yes, Trevor's new assistant apparently polishing her badge.
Here Pumpkinhead, let me spit shine that badge for you..... whoops, excuse that goober in your face, I'm a little off target (NOT).
Just can't get enough of me, can you? Can't leave well enough alone and have to keep turning over the compost pile? Be careful what you wish for. A rainy day here and my garden is a mudpit so maybe we might have some fun today... I"m up for another round of punkin' chuckin'.....
Hershey knows a lot about the avatar problem. Just ask her. Kind of like the bad kid troublemaker that gets the whole class punished. But that's right, you all kissed and made up and it's all good now. Just keep telling yourself that. Oh, but now it's been a couple weeks and short term memory with Pumpkinhead is slipping.... should be a colorful version of events...

Hi Beag!
No, I guess when I think of Goober, I think of the character on the old Andy Griffith show! It's not why I named one of my kitty's that, it just sounded like a cute name.
Funny, because members of my family will call each other "Goober" now and again, in a light-hearted way, and I never knew it could refer to uh, um, well, snot, for lack of a better word.

We can always use a little more manure in the garden. It's just a matter of time letting it rot and compost though. Don't want the freshy freshy stuff, gotta cook it in the sun for a while and kill the bad vibes...

Hey Jackass, here's a newsflash for ya - I posted here a long long time ago.... I forget the name I used now - used to post in the JE forum and a few other places. I don't want to give away all my secrets though, and Trevor knows the truth.
Again, you're a freakin' legend in your own mind. Keep flattering yourself by thinking I/We/ and any other people who post here do so *because* you do. I will admit that you seem to like to talk about my website an awful lot for someone who got booted from there. And for someone who has no friends there either keep saying you do and maybe you will make yourself feel better. I post on these threads where you keep dredging up my website, and specifically me, because I feel the need to balance your diatriabes with some insight and truth for those who think you speaketh it.
Yes, my backstabbing friends are just fine, thank you. I'm glad you care so much about me to tell me about them. Jealousy really doesn't become you, but then again I don't think there are many of your personality traits that are redeeming or complimentary. If you weren't such an ugly soul I'd pity you, but I don't.
I agree with you Becky, it's nice to have a place and be amongst friends whom you know and trust and have a history with.
Again, my forums are for ME. Just ME. As long as I'm happy with what's there, and who's there, that's all that matters. And right now pumpkinhead it be a very very good place there because you're giving us a lot to laugh about. And best of all it's an OLANTERN AND PUMPKINHEAD AND HERSHEY FREE ZONE!!!!! You just can't get enough of me, even negative attention seems to be good for you, and you just can't get over the fact that you've burned your bridges more than once and been kicked to the curb because people don't like you, they don't even like communicating with you via internet.
You are the queen of dysfunctional, and here is exactly where you should be. Thank you Trevor for finding a place for the wicked one.
Now, let's get back to talking about all those PM's and such. Hmmmm, you should see MY inbox. I bet it's even more intresting than Trevors. Oh yes... and it's all about YOU psycho pumpkinhead, all about YOU!!!!
Hey Becky, aren't you soooooo disappointed pumpkinhead don't want to know anything about your website? I bet it really breaks your heart, huh?... boo hooo......
Power? Money? Hmmmm, yes, control over your own website is a good thing. Just ask Trevor. Do I give a rats ass what a horse's ass thinks? Naaahhhh.... My apologies to all the fine horses out there who are slighted.... but no, I won't stand by and have the lunatic on the corner continue to spout untruths and BS. If you can stand there/here/wherever and babble on, so can I. As long as my secret cyber-pimp Trevor will have me.
Now SCAT before I drop a house on you.....

Thanks Hellfire, but I do have a spare house as a matter of fact. We just use it for storage now and it's full of chipmunks I think, but it'll do the trick.
Weather sucks here today, pouring rain like it has been for a week. It's even windy too. We're stuck in some nasty weather loop where it keeps swirling of the coast of New England than back in again full of water and dumping it up here. Our green thumbs have turned yellow. The farmers haven't got their hay or corn in. The construction business is taking a hit too by these weather delays. Maybe if I say I LOVE the rain it'll stop.

Check back in this thread dear. Who started stirring the compost first? It was she-whom-is-obsessed. If she stopped referring to me, and my website, I'd continue to lurk. My website is full of gardening tips - amongst other things, that's the place for it. This is the place to reply to posts - specifically in this thread - and it's oh so much fun to have interaction with psychotic spinsters from hell. Can't I visit another place on the web and post - especially when I'm part of the topic of conversation? Why would anyone expect to find gardening tips on here?
Some do find our exchanges interesting. Just ask my fiance Trevor. May not interest you Garnet so moooove right along. Wouldn't hurt my feelings a bit.
In fact, let's get back to the original topic. Who's been messing with the avatars? Hershey knows alot about the story, and that question never really was answered here I don't think....
I guess we're going to have to find another badge for yet another one of Trevor's deputies....

It's white rusty tin. Trevor is cheap.
In GA, I watered the Azaleas about every other day and thrived out of control. Beautiful things. That's the extent of my know how of planting. Give it water and buy new if it dies. I'll be happy to make something up for you if you like.

Garnet... Why am I here? Because I've been here for YEARS. I've only recently registered this name. But I've been here MUCH longer than many. Why did I decide to register my name now?? For one reason is Trevor took off the dysfunctional, changed the format of the BB and it's become a little calmer than it was before. I didn't want to post back the way it use to be.
Now about my post, let me begin by asking you to re-read this thread. I came on here to tell LT that I too have a Goober. That was my first post. I have NOT addressed Hershey as I have her on IGNORE. I only wish she'd do that with me too. But no, she is obsessed with me and has been for years. Ask anyone that was at SUSA. She has attacked me for no reason for years.
I've also been on 4 BBs with her. Three of them had ignore features and I've used them on all three of them. I've still been told and have read when people quote her, how she's still attacked. I don't know how long you've known her Garnet, but she thrives on these altercations. When there was something going on here, she use to post the thread on SUSA hoping everyone would come over to stir it up more.
Now if you look at my posts you will see that I come on TVTalk and do the counting thread with you, chat with others in other areas, without going NEAR her. I suggest you pull up some of my other posts. Then re-read this thread and see who addressed whom. It wasn't me posting to her.
Again, I've learned over the years to just IGNORE her. Makes life so much more pleasant. After all, life is way too short and I have so many other things to do than argue back and forth with her.
BTW... when you check on my posts, note how many times she has spoken (baited) ME and I did not respond to her. I've heard there have been quite a few.

Tweetypie oh tweetypie, you are soooo mistaken. There are no puppets in my world, unlike the sock puppets I'm sure Olantern/Hershey has created here to rescue herself and come to her aid when the muck gets too deep. Yes, I'm a beast, terrible tyrant and dictator.... oh yes, that's me all right. Just ask anyone who *really* knows me and they'll tell you how selfish and nasty I am. I *am* a tyrant in the fact that I won't have one miserable individual create problems for me or anyone else who wants to hang out in my gazebo or home. I guess in that case all moderators and admins of websites with interactive forums are all tyrants and beasts. So are the police and all other authority figures in real life. The beast here is Hershey. You're just oh so slow on the comprehension apparently. I stand by my bird brain assessment.
Becky, you know it's no use trying to interject FACT into the fictional world of Hershey. She is a computer whiz, knows all about who was where when, and who is who now. Master detective she is, uh huh. She is a master at revisionist history and selective memory. Just be thankful she's here (with all three of her friends) and we don't have to put up with her, nor review the emails daily complaining of her bad behavior and psychotic episodes. Trevor's the one I kind of feel sorry for, but he's making big bucks so maybe it's worth his time and effort. It wasn't worth it for me and it just stressed out everyone else. The big old buzzard always circling overhead, ready to prey on those who happen to make a spelling error... pick pick pick them apart... for one thing or another. Or God forbid someone brought up a topic that had been discussed before, or even stray off topic the least little bit.
Rebel Mom, I don't know what to tell you about the thread being hijacked except that Hershey is one very twisted individual who has an uncanny ability to find the weaknesses in others and manipulate them. My weakness is that when my name is mentioned, and my website, I want to see what it's about and set the record straight. Sooner or later all those who are defending her now will see her true colors. But then again some see just what they want to see.
Move forward Hershey and stop wallowing in self-pity over lost friendships and roads you'll never have the chance to walk down again. Stop blaming others for your character deficiencies and do something with your life so you are remembered for being something other than a miserable witch who created havoc, hate and discontent.
Okay, now here's something for you Garnet. I don't know where you are located, and that would make a difference in your azalea bushes. You can always check out your local or state cooperative extension office, or call the Master Gardener tip line and ask them for advice. Here's a few tidbits I found from the UNH resource center:
SPAMSPAMSPAMSPAMSPAMSPAMSPAMSPAMextension.unh.edu/Pubs/HGPubs/growrhod.pdf
You might want to fertilize your azaleas. They are slow growers and need some acid type fertilizer occasionally to give them a boost. Also, prune immediately after flowering, cutting back one or two branches every year.
My own personal experience is that sometimes you might have to move a plant around from one location to another in your yard until it finds a place where it is comfortable and grows well. Generous additions of organic matter to the soil will help root development as well.

Back at you pumpkinhead. Yep, I be posting posting just to see my name in print. I'm sure your PM box is bustin' at the seams, you do have a propensity to conduct a lot of business behind the scenes with your peanut gallery. I keep telling you too that I don't have to account to you as to how I spend my time on the internet, whether it's here or anyplace else. Again, you're just jealous that you have no clue what is really happening in any of the forums you've been booted from. I'll keep posting here when I damn well please and don't care if it's the first word, or the last word, or where my post falls in any thread. Now that Trevor and I are engaged, I don't think it would be right to abandon him either, since he's my cyber pimp and all and these highly viewed threads pay the bills.
Talk about an overused repetoire of banter, you're like a record that keeps skipping... "last word... over here a lot... just because of me.... dull bboard...." All points I've hashed and rehashed so I'll spare everyone today - just go back to any other thread we've had these little pleasant exchanges on and you'll see what I mean.
Cindy Loo, there are thousands of varieties of Azaleas and rhodys. If you really want to start an azalea garden, or even grow just one, get one from a good nursery or someplace where they guarantee what they sell and ask them for advice. If it dies, you'll have risked nothing and can get your money back. In fact, Becky is a pretty talented gardener herself from the pictures I've seen and she might know a little about growing them in your location. Another way to find a perfect plant for your location is if you pass by one on the street, take a picture or ask the homeowner for the variety name. You'd be surprised at how many gardeners love to share what they know, and even what they have!

Just tired of wasting my time on twits and birdbrains. I do have a website to run you know? And tons of other stuff to do in REAL life. Just had to post some pictures I took earlier this morning of a turkey that actually landed in a tree out front. The wildlife in my front yard is so much more interesting than the compost and crazy humans here.....

That'd be a cold day.... I ain't talkin' bout sex you idiot. Fact is that men RUN from you and can't get out of your bed fast enough.
Again I ask... what makes you think you know so much about marital relationships, specifically about mine, and what do I care what you think or say?
The truth could whack you upside your empty head and you still wouldn't know what hit you. You're a pathetic piece of work, an embarassment to the human race, and most importantly: If your momma ever knew she'd be so disappointed.

You must have forgotten some of the emails you sent me. Remember the "like brother and sister" one? Or maybe it's your selective memory kicking in.
By the way, how many names are you using here, Flora, etc.? LOL
Yeah, I see how much more the wildife in your yard interests you than being here. You just keep on comin' back. Whassa matter? Some of the eight regular posters on your board are on vacation?
My mother sends her regards to you. She's hoping you'll leave your brain to medical science - it would be quite a case study. :)

I'll use as many names as I damn well please. Don't believe everything you read numbnuts. Have you ever heard the phrase "give a person enough rope and they'll hang themselves?" How about the phrase "set up"? You were tested more than once, and failed miserably time and time again... you scare me not, and don't even think that threats of any type do anything besides make me laugh at your sorry ass.
Which reminds me. You all who are sending your beloved friend Hershey emails ought to be taking notes here. Because she does. She archives stuff forever and ever... amen.
I'm still wondering how a person gets kicked out of weight watchers. That's an interesting thought.
Now where the heck did I put that snake-be-gone pesticide I picked up yesterday?

Yet you Tweetybird and Hershey squirts haven't been run out yet, have you? They must have some tolerance for "beastly wildlife" then... or maybe that's just at the zoo.
I wouldn't trade my family, location, or the wildlife that surrounds me for anything. Tsk tsk.... jeaous... jealous again (insert counting crows tune) ..... poor birdbrain and deputy Hershey.... no life to speak of except their escapades in dysfunctionalville.

Hi Skeeter, and thanks! I will do that. I'm wondering if it's too late to plant them now? It's June 12th and thinking I should have planted them in early spring, but I will go and ask the pros at the nursery.
And thanks Flora for your tips also.
Okay continue...lol
To answer the original question... Ruffles, I emailed Trevor about the avatars and he said there was a glitch with the animated ones that could not be fixed. With that said, I doubt it is really a glitch since the online indicators are animated gif files too and they're working fine. He probably just wants to save on bandwidth since animations can suck up a lot of it.

Lexy, thanx very much for answering my question re the avatars. I don't buy it either and I'm MAD AS HELL ABOUT IT! I'm just not the same anymore -- boo hoo hoo hoo! I just may not post until Trevor, or his assistant, gets their act together. How dare they? I think I'm going to PM Trevor also.

That's interesting about the azaleas, Flora..thanks for the info.
I would love to grow them, but doubt they would thrive at all here in Central Ohio. They sell them here though.
My mom-in-law lives in Georgia and she has some gorgeous azaleas.
She waters the heck out of them. Not sure she prunes or feeds them, but I will tell her about that.
Okay continue!...lol

Cindy, I know what you mean about the differences between Georgia and Ohio. In Mississippi, I had camellias, magnolias, roses, azaleas, etc. I have to admit, I'm not a really talented gardener, but they thrived. Here in Pennsylvania, this house has something called a Mountain Laurel (I think it's also called rhododendrum), spirea and forsythia. Those were the only things that blossomed this spring, except for some fruit trees. I planted a magnolia shrub/tree, that's supposed to be hardy enough for this area, but it's not like the tree we had in MS. The soil here is clay-like, where the soil we had in Long Beach was sandier. I guess that has alot to do with it, plus the fact that the temperatures are vastly different. I'd like to plant some bulbs this year, too. My solution is lots of annuals. lol

I'm not the best gardener myself. We have a lot of spirea and forsythia here also. I have a few apple trees that go wild and make all my pies from them. Have a few roses that do well. I also have a magnolia tree, but it isn't thriving too well and I agree, it has a lot to do with the soil, although here in farm country, the soil is dark and rich. I'm thinking maybe too rich.
My solution also is just to grow annuals. It works for me!..lol
Did you get your flowers for your basket/post lantern thingy?

Cindy asked:
"Did you get your flowers for your basket/post lantern thingy?"
~~~~~~~~~~
I sure did! I started assembling it when I got home from work, but hit a snag when I had to put the 2 pieces of the planter together. It has to be turned clockwise while lifting on the upper portion. There are 4 little tabs, but I could not get more than 2 snapped at a time. I finally got me some help. lol
I set it outside as soon as it was finished, and it lit up just the teeniest bit. It's supposed to take a full 2 days in the daylight to fully charge. Anyhow, I really like it, and I'm glad I bought it. :)
Hi again Novalee... My lantern was brighter last night, due to, I guess, a lot of sun yesterday.
I like mine too, thinking of getting another one, although I haven't done my flowers baskets yet. I may go today and purchase some flowers for it. I better hurry, it's June the 14th, I might have to put artificial flowers in it...lol
