New Host(s)!?!?

Does anyone have some inside info on how all of these holes will be filled!? I know they had an audition a couple months back but I haven't seen anyone new on air. What gives? I assume we can expect to see a fresh new face sometime soon.

It usually takes about six months for a host to be trained behind the scenes before they go on air. With that time frame in mind, whoever the new host(s) may be, they're somewhere in the middle of their training schedule, so it will probably be at least a couple more months before we see them on air.

I think SOME of the vendors would make great hosts....IF they were interested that is.......like Doris Dalton (from Fran Wilson) or a couple of the Northern Nights ladies...like one of the Stanus (sp?) sisters or Suzanne Creamer. JMO

You mean fresh new faces. I think that new host trainees go through three months of training before they're seen on the air for the first time. I think it would be good to hire three or four new hosts. Over the past year QVC has lost Christa Pitts, Sheila Johnson and now Lena McIlwain is leaving in September but Jane Rudolph Treacy did return last September. I hope the new hosts are not Sheila Johnson or Carolyn Gracie types. The fact that QVC hired Sheila and Carolyn is too much. I don't know how I could even say Christa and Sheila in the same sentence. Christa was one of the best hosts QVC ever had and Sheila will probably go down in history as one of the worst hosts if not the worst.

I agree, I think Suzanne would be a great host. I also think Iris the model would be an excellent host!!

Sally Combs (The Birkenstock Girl) would make a great host. Another girl that I think would make a great host would be Lori Pickford. Lori was a representative for the Homedics Company when QVC used to do Home Spa & Salon Shows. Leslie Blodgett (Bare Essentuals) and Myranda Blassingale (Citiknits) would also make good hosts.

I've heard people talk about how adorable Patti Reilly is. Christa is the one that was adorable to me. I could watch Chirsta host any type of show on QVC.

I agree with you. I thought it was three months but after thinking about it it is a six month period. The new hosts are probably halfway through the training period.

I think we really need to stick to the facts, because none of us know for sure if Lena is really leaving, (someone could've speculated that) just like someone thought Jane Treacy was pregnant again last year. We don't know for sure if Lena is leaving and if Christa is really coming back. I think we should just wait and see what Lena announces.

It's only July and Lena would probably announce her departure as time creeps closer to September 1st. I'm trying to say it's a little early yet. I'd love it if Christa came back, after two years of Sheia, Christa would a welcome relief.
