In cased I missed something, can someone PLEASE, PLEASE tell me what the appeal is with Susan Graver and her clothing. I just don't see it. Does anyone else feel the way I do?

She has a rabid following in a 100,000 member retirement community in Miami that keeps the entire ship afloat.

I have no frigging clue. It is so boring I don't know how she stays awake to design that stuff. She has had maybe five things that I would buy in all of her time at QVC.

5 things Puddy, really????? Lucky you --- LOL. Even if the Polyester Princess was to make something that was wearable for people under 80, I wouldn't even consider it. She drives me insane with her constant interruptions and prancing around the stage like she just got crowned Prom Queen.

Notice that I said "would" instead of "did"! I agree 100% with the dancing around routine. It's a riot when she's on with that size small Patti. I'm guessing that the two whirling dervishes will be on together this evening.

If only they could attach electrodes to their earlobes they could generate enough power to supply the eastern seaboard through the rest of the summer. Sort of like those high-tech spiky metal windmills on the hillsides, only not as attractive.

Who is buying this stuff? Is Susan "designing" (ha!) stuff with a specific audience in mind? I don't see 75 year old's wearing this stuff, btw. It's beyond atrocious.

Hi Garnet!
The UPS driver isn't coming to my house with this TSV. LOL I see one color did sell out. What's up with that?
Does anyone know what "high end" department stores she used to sell her clothing?

Her clothes are so dowdy! My 83 year old mother wouldn't wear her stuff. I've never purchased anything of hers - or any of the clothes other than when I was on a Quacker Factory sweater kick some years ago. Now I cringe at them lol.

I know Gayfers and McCrae's use to sell her stuff. Both have been bought out in this area. She always makes it seem like it was Sax or Neiman Marcus or something.

Burdines in Florida, which is now Macy's, used to carry her stuff when she first started on QVC. I used to see it there. I sure wouldn't wear it then and I won't now.

Tentatively raising my hand here!
I have made fun of SG for years. After all, she is such an easy target!
BUT, lately, I have started to see a few things here and there that I actually like. There was one on last Saturday's fashion day AM Syle that was a really sheer paisly printed tunic with an open tie neck and a knit shell underneath it. It was -- dare I say it? -- right in style and I really liked the colors.
So, if this tunic had ANY other name on it, I know I would have ordered it. But I waited too long and, alas, I was spared the indignity of ordering my first Susan Graver item which I have long told my sister to shoot me dead if I ever did it.
But, I'm telling you guys, it was both cute and right in style.

That tunic was very cute - I was considering ordering it also and talked myself out of it. I was going to get one for myself and one for my Mom - and save on shipping. The colors were all very nice and it was very stylish. It could be worn now and into fall/winter very easily. Oh well..... lol.

Thank you, teena, for assuring me that I wasn't loosing my mind! It was cute! It was!

While once shopping for glassware to paint in a thrift store, I seen a SG blouse hanging off a rack. It was marked down to $1.98 from $3.98 They couldn't even sell it at the "higher" price. It made me LMAO!!!

She does have some cute things every now and then. Susan Graver turns me off enough not to order any of her stuff. She thinks she is soooo fab!!!!
My aunt ordered us both sweater capelets last year. I did wear it to church one Sunday and I received several compliments. I would have never ordered it for myself. My aunt is in her 90's and likes most of her fashions.

Susan can be very annoying with all of her actions, however, she doesn't bother me as much as she once did. I also think her clothes have been a little better although I did think the TSV was dreadful. I bought a sort of tweed fitted jacket a year or so ago. It was nice and a little better than still another big shirt. I don't know who her audience is, but she must have one or she would never get so much air time.
I feel the same way about Citiknits. How many of those slippery outfits can one person use?

I ordered that tunic that PandaGirl and Teena liked and it is really cute! When I saw it, it didn't look like SG clothing. I wish I had gotten another one in a different color!

I cannot take Susan Graver. She talks over the hosts, she pulls the fabric to show the stretchability, she models the clothing like she is the ideal model of her clothing. She is sooooo adult ADHD.She is the only designer, however that has lowered the scoop neckline on some of her tank tops, but since most of them are poly and I cannot wear poly,I cannot even wear them.Just like the Indigo Moon lady has a standin for her(I really never particularly cared for that lady...she should just stick to designing)Susan should have a nice calm person take over for her,but obviously SG loves being in front of the camera.
Her styles,as reinterpreted for the QVC viewer, whatever that means(handicapped, over seventy,SPAMSPAMSPAMSPAMSPAMSPAM going hipster) seem to miss the mark. For example:Last year and the year before tunic toppers in luxurious fabrics(brocade in deep greens and purples and bronzes etc.) have been very in.Susan will create a jacket in a beautiful jacquard or a jacket in a pink brocade. But it's a short version of what's in.QVC sometimes seems afraid to really get some designs right. They'll add some ruching at the neck of a simple tee instead of just lowering the neclone and selling a simple fresh design in real colors(like gray, olive). They need to look at the syles and not make them dowdier(that Susan Graver TSV was the pits)...just remake them in a variety of sizes.Helllloooooo.
Citiknits, and Dr. Denese seem to be on frequently. Susan Graver will never change. She is so annoying and all about herself.

Yeah I notice the frequency of the Dr. Denese visits.I think a lot of women of a certain age are contemplating surgery and are looking for non surgical alternatives to tightening up their skin(recent TSV- Dr.Perricone).
I love Citknits, but they need to work on their styles and patterns and colors. And they need to lower thei necklines too. They also need to have more basics like sleeveless shells in real colors(like gray, olive, white)not just fuschia, turquoise and orange. They need to stop reinterpreting Chico's styles for the dowdy set and get with it.

I bought a SG blouse (brand new) at a Salvation Army Thrift Store about 10 years ago. I love it! I wore it many times, I ALWAYS got compliments on it and in fact I still have it hanging in my closet even though I gained weight and it is now too small. I can't bear to throw it out, I love the colors and I will fit into it someday again. I am sure I only spent a couple dollars for it.
I remember also I bought one SG skirt that I wore alot, in the early 1990's and it was top quality. I washed that thing all the time, no fading, no ironing, and always got compliments.
Those were my only 2 SG experiences, she sure isn't making money off me.
SG is likable though because she seems to really love her products, and it shows, and I like that.
I hardly ever come across SG though. I am a channel surfer with the TV remote as I sit with my laptop and play on the internet at the same time.
I am retired, no kids living at home, divorced and my life is my own. I am also an avid reader.
Life is good, I can do what I want, when I want! :-)
(Ahhhh, I live next to an old church, gorgeous, built in the early 1800's. They ring the bells every 6 hours (6AM, 12 Noon, 6PM, but not at midnight). It is 6AM EST and the bells just rang a few minutes ago. I love that sound, it gives me the fuzzies.)
