What does everyone think of Leah Williams?

I find her annoying too. Sometimes I wonder if her jaws hurt from smiling and giggling so much.

I like Leah, she seems very real to me. She is a bit silly at times but its almost refreshing compare to some of the other hosts.

Leah seems very nice, but at the same time her laugh and smile oftem seem over done and cause her eyes to squint so much they disappear.

Her VOICE and laugh get to me! I don't think she always puts out the necessary info when she should (like measurements etc). And she acts as if we are all so concerned with what she does after hours. I'm not!

She's one of my favorites, too. I, too, have heard her talk very little about herself. Far less than other hosts. She seems calm and professional to me.

I think that Leah is very likeable and outgoing. If her smile makes her eyes "squint" too much, she can hardly help THAT. Sheesh. Her smile and pleasant demeanor are the reason I don't have to change the channel. To each his own.

I had to get used to Leah and her smiling,but now I really like her a lot.She seems normal,fresh and fun.I wish she would talk more about herself.It'd be nice to see her sister and her husband and all that.But she's professional,pretty and fun too.She's really so much better than Jane Treacy,who never had me watching AM Style.
Jayne Brown is the one who makes me a bit crazy.I like her,but she has a very competitive personality and always semms be in competitive mode.She doesn't seem to be able to take a little joke on her...she always has to "get you back."With Pat,who's so sweet,it's sometimes hard to watch.It's a shame because Jayne is wonderul,pretty, professional,knowledgeable and confident.But for some reason,this year,that odd side of her personality has been turning me off.

Isn't if funny, Yanni, how everyone has a different take on people? I don't see any kind of dominant, competitive personality in Jayne at all. She just seems so laid back and looks like she's always enjoying herself.

PJD, on the other hand, is a train wreck. I'd like to take an enormous fly swatter to her, especially when she starts all that phony nervous laughter, that includes lots of throwing her head back, like she's just having the time of her life. Ever notice how she can stop all that uproarious laughter on a dime?? Ugh.

I find her laughter annoying. And she is loud at times. I think she blew it the other night with Pamela Dennis. If Lisa R had been on with her, everything probably would have sold out.

I saw that show and actually I thought Leah looked really good and just right to be on with Pamela Dennis.As mich as I love Lisa R.,I think it's good to expose other hosts to the top designers too.Ms.Dennis kept complimenting the models and never said anything to Leah,who kept saying she owned the sweater she had designed in 2 colors.
Then a few callers called in and complimented Leah,I was so glad. Pamela then gave some feeble comment on her behalf.Because she is not pencil thin like the models or didn't have whatever other attributes Pamela "prefers" she really wasn't complimentary toward her.This was one time that I felt Leah held her own.

Who's Leah? lol If she's the one on with Kathy Van Zeeland right now then I like her. Her voice is so damn annoying and fake though, come on! Otherwise, she's professional and nice to look at. I like that she sticks to the program. But damn that voice! It's almost as fake as Mary Beth's!!!!

Yes that's her.I'm telling you,at first her voice used to irritate me(kind of kindergarden teachery,grating and annoying).But I've come to see that that's just her voice and her way...she's OK by me(but it did take me a few years to get used to her).Hey,she's a California girl,and everyone's different.

She seems nice enough but she is not remarkable in my book. I can't get past the cackle/laugh. At least she's stopped flashing her wedding set every chance she had.

She doesn't talk about herself? Well, she used to watch QVC with her sister on the phone. She lived in California until she got the job with QVC. She used to never cook but she decided she needed to learn and now she cooks a lot. She is doing line dancing in her spare time and she went to the Mariah Carey concert the other night with Lena and Miranda (from Citiknits). She goes on and on about what she does. I wish she would hold the clothes still so the camera guy could get a close up. I wish she would give measurements before the stuff sells out and I wish she would show all the color choices right up front. I also don't like her LONG acrylic nails.

As a person, I am sure she is nice. I just don't care for her as a host. And regarding Jayne and her competiveness--I totally agree!

I was VERY restrained with my previous comment about her...but have gone on and on about how much I can't stand her on previous threads here and on the Q board. In fact, I complained so much about her on the 'other' board that they deleted my post!! *gas*...can't stand her!! I have to turn the sound down when she's on..used to love AM Style, but can't really watch it now with her on and all her shout outs and alarm clocks...and of course that constant cackle and laughing for no reason!!!ARRRRRRRRGHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have to admit to being surprised at the passionate dislike Leah seems to inspire in some of you since I've always thought of her as one of the blandest and least "out there" hosts in terms of personality. She's certainly no Patti or Lisa.

I think there is absolutely NO host that everybody likes and it's unrealistic for anybody to expect for there to be one.

I know MBR has a lot of fans here, and, while I certainly don't find anything outright offensive about her, she's too sweet and sappy for me. As for her style, she always looks nice, but frequently frumpy and older than her years to me.

So, just goes to show you. There's no host who appeals to everyone and nobody should expect any host to live up to what is an impossible standard.

I agree about MBR.She's a mainstay.Very middle of the road.I've gotten used to her,but I originally had a great dislike for her.But,as you say,depending on who you are,not every host is going to appeal to every shopper.But Leah's OK by me.She reminds me of my own girlfriends,but then so does Lisa R.so go figure!

Great sexy professional host is Leah but her true personality remains beneath the surface of her presentations. It's easier for viewers to get to know Jacque Gonzales whose personality is very much on the surface of her presentations. We learn a bit about Leah from her here and there. It's hard, however, to get to know or even learn what drives Leah.

I like Leah. I have seen her be the host for other products besides her Saturday AM Style and her demeanor is quite different. She can be more serious and can laugh less depending on the product and the situation. I think she is always professional and gets the job done.

I Like her a lot. All of the QVC hosts are instructed to be audience-friendly, perky and smile a lot- they are all SELLING to us. I don't expect any of them like all of the products they are pushing. But some appear naturally nicer than others, and Leah is one of them. I also appreciate that she hasn't gotten round-the-clock plastic suregery like some of the hosts do- she had those little "bags" under her eyes when she started on QVC and they're still there. Yes, I wish she wouldn't squint when she smiles, but that is obviously her.

Peekiebear, I agree with everything you posted about Leah. And to add another thought, she is always nice to everyone: vendors, callers, other hosts. I can't say the same for all the other hosts.
