That new host? I've watched QVC all since they announced a new host, and havent seen her on air yet. Im confused, don't they usually work with the hosts whoever is in the overnite hours, or are these hosts in the overnite hours considered too new for the new chick to work with?

They spend 6 months in a classroom type setting, learning about products and vendors, and cameras and such, before they are brought out, is my belief. Longer, perhaps if necessary.

I imagine we wont see the new host much before Spring of 07. I am sure their training is very intense and detailed as there is so much to learn.

Don't they usually shadow an established host for about six months, and then towards the end of their internship present an occasional item in their mentor's show?

Isnt that 6 months training done on air, with a differnt host everytime? I remember when Antonella and all them came to QVC they had 6 months of host training, then at the end of this one show, they were promoted to full time host. and all 6 months of host training was done on air.

We'll see Sandra soon. The last group of new hosts (Antonella Nester, Carolyn Gracie and Dave James) aren't too new for her to work with them. Sandra will either be teamed up with one of them or with a host on a late evening shift. It the latter route is taken the host that Sandra is teamed up could be anyone since several hosts alternate on late evening and overnights shifts since the departures of Sheila Johnson and Lena McIlwain.
