Do you think it will be before Halloween? No, it is just David Venable dressed up in pine needles for trick or treat...LOL

The day after Thanksgiving. I'm sure they'll be one on their pre Christmas shows in September, October and November, but the permanent one I'm going for the day after Thanksgiving.

Usually, in the past few years, the holiday decorations have gone up permenantly in the sets between Nov. 1-5. I'm a Christmas decorating fanatic and I guess that's why I notice every year. It does bug me that on Dec. 26th, everything is gone. I realize the shopping season is over with, but it's still sad how they do that.

I don't know about all of you ladies, but my tree is already up!

Just kidding ... :-) I am almost done with my Christmas shopping though!

Why not just permanently keep all trees up and just keep adding and removing the decorations as the holidays roll around....get ready to hang the dried corn, autumn leaves, and dust the cobwebs off the pumpkins !

I love that idea! I actually considered leaving mine up last year (it's fake of course).

I was in Macys last week & saw they have their Christmas shop set up.

The supermarket put out their Halloween display in August.

Yeah, just when the poor kids got their summer break from school ... a few weeks later I noticed the stores stocking the shelves with "back to school items" please give me a break ...!

Mel

Here, the back to school items started popping up about a month before school. I'm sure the kids LOVED seeing that. Oh well, I know *I* enjoyed seeing it. lol

It's pretty bad when they have to hype things for months & months before the occasion.

Is the economy that bad? :(

I didn't see the set with the tree up yet on the Q, but that would've been my bet too. Seems that a full 90 days is in order for holiday decorating to get the most for your money ;)

That being said, I will admit that bought the Christmas Tree hot pick from the 25th.......... Ow! Stop throwing things! Sorry, the lure of the 1200 lights on it was the clincher. I'd love to have a real tree every year, but it's way too dry to keep it up for more than a week or so (and keep it looking decent). Plus the dogs just looooove the tree - a little too much if you know what I mean. Anyway, I'm not putting it up until after Thanksgiving. Other than making sure I don't need to return it for any reason, it will stay out of sight until then.

Now I have to watch more Q to check out the set decor.

I just read an article on the 'net. Said that the retailers are shaking in their shoes because of the economy. They're scared the consumers are going to keep those dollars in their pockets this holiday season. They may be correct.

It will be the first or second week of October when the Q will put up their Christmas tree I believe. This is what the home shopping channel lives for is holiday season buying along with HSN.

Sorry to have disappeared from the conversation, had to rush out and buy some tinsel before the Christmas stuff is off the shelves and the Valentine's stuff arrives--it IS the end of September, after all!

Isn't it up today? After all it is Countdown to Christmas day!

It hit 90 today in central CT. I am definitely NOT in the Christmas spirit!

I've always loved Halloween. However, it tends to get shoved to the side for Christmas. I wish they'd bring out the tinsel in November not September! My brain can't rush the seasons no matter what the retail industry says (or does).

I just wanna bask in orange and black for now.... LOL
