Not really, usually it is me with the memory block. It must be all the fish that I am eating lately.

I remember PEOPLE Startracks section having Neal Patrick Harris photos with his female dates. His coming out doesn't surprise me though.
Actually, I think he and Lance Bass would make a cute couple, in case Lance and his German boyfriend ever call it quits.

I don't understand why they need to declare themselves one way or the other. I think people watch them or their show for the entertainment value. Then there's those that have rumors haunting them for years like Kevin Spacey, Tom Cruise and Burt Reynolds. I just don't understand what difference it makes. It's kind of sad.

It is kind of funny, cause the character he plays on How I Met Your Mother is very womanizing. Always trying to get some girl in the sack.
DH said that will kind of ruin the show for him. I hope the ratings don't go down. I don't think it will bother me. lol. I never liked the show (or his character) to begin with.

No surprise. But I read a comment he made yesterday that cracked me up. To paraphrase, he said he decided to come out publically because there were rumors circulating that he was STRAIGHT, and he didn't want anyone thinking that! LOL

Somehow, this breaking news that Doogie Howser's gay doesn't surprise me in the least, but I'm not sure why.

For quite some time Neil Patrick Harris was known as "Mrs Stephen Sondheim" in the NY theater community. Everyone considered them a pair.

I agree LL. It's just a gut feeling when you look at some of these people.
Like the actor that played Jonathon on Who's the Boss.

Yes, EXACTLY like that, Pia. No surprise at all. Okay, Lance Bass took me by surprise just a little bit by his revelation, but really, I could care less. I don't know why they feel they have to make these big announcements.
I'm at the right age when Doogie Howser, M.D. and the Wonder Years where the best shows on television, in my opinion, at the time. I have to admit, this one actually kinda shocked me. I guess I need to re-tune my gaydar. Most of the time when one "outs" themself, you think, "Yeah, what took you so long?" This one was a surprise to me. Oh well, I wish him all the best.
Well now I have to disagree with amber. His career isn't over. In fact, he is having great success in his current sitcom. He IS the reason the show is funny and worth watching. He's a skirt-chaser on the program - and now that we all know he's chasing John, not Jane, in real life makes his performance all the better. Amber, you strike me as one who worshipped at the "Friends" alter.

I'm surrounded by gay guys during the week, and they all tell me that it's been known in the community for many years now. I guess he was relatively open about it when working on Broadway.
I was kinda surprised. I never watched Doogie, but have seen him in this new show .. he's such a womanizer! lol ... he's a good actor (and funny).

Neil Patrick Harris' career isn't over at all. It's just taken a different turn. He's been in stage productions of RENT (tour), SWEENEY TODD (concert with NY Philharmonic), and Broadway productions of ASSASSINS, PROOF and CABARET. He has a commanding stage presence and a fine tenor singing voice. And yeah, he really can act!
