Nice little attempt at back-pedaling there--first admitting he purposely lied about Rumsfeld a few days ago, then trying to re-frame his comment, all in one sentence. To bad for him we all have IQ's over 10.

How amusing to hear W talking about there being a place at the table for everyone.

Well, gee, what happened to OUR place these last years, W? Huh?

Another foot has the shoe now instead.

And in case anybody hasn't heard, CNN just projected Montana for the Dems, giving us now 50 in the Senate!

Well, it was one of the most glaring examples of hypocrisy I've ever heard! I guess it struck your neighbor, too.

He looks old - and I mean old - ivy league.

From everything I heard today, he was fired.
What's really bad is Bush lied just a week or so ago. He already had Rummy's successor lined up, but told the media Rummy was staying for two more years, through the rest of Bush's term. Not! Bush obviously hasn't learned to level with the American public. (And I voted for him - twice).

Hi Hershey........would you consider that statement to be "OLD MONEY" hahahahaha

pandagirl

Yes, he was fired Hershey, but I don't believe for a minute that he would have been if the elections had gone the way Rove kept telling the Pres they were. If the Republicans had kept their jobs, so would Rumsfeld.

W had the pathetic appearance of someone today scrambling to cover his bases. Too late, fella.

It's very hard to overstate the message of the election. We needed 15 house seats. We got 33, making the Democratic majority much bigger than the one the Republicans exploited so ruthlessly for years. Nobody thought we had a shot at the Senate. Well, wrong-o!

The American people really did speak loudly and clearly. Looks like even W got the message. (I'm sorry, I really do try to keep my political opinions to myself here, but I'm feeling pretty good today after years of depression about where we are in this country.)

Hi Pia! LOL. No I wouldn't. Old Money is different than Old Ivy League, although they often go hand in hand. LOL

Another case of bad planning and head-up-the-buttitis. If Rummy had gone just a week earlier, the election might have gone the other way. Thank you, Mr. Bush, for waiting. Cheney was off "hunting." Remember Shultz from Hogan's Heroes? He knows 'nuzzing' (nothing).

Pebbles, I think he didn't resign a week earlier because of Pandagirl's point; had the elections gone in favor of the Republicans more, Rummy would have stayed on.
