Just saw a little tour of Clay's new home at perez, and he sounds exactly like Mark when it comes to the kitchen :) He says he's a little "OCD", everything has to be lined up just so and organized to perfection, etc--- just like Mark! so funny.

Do they line up their boxes & cans in alphabetical order?

sam king cat
12-01-2006, 06:33 AM
The labels have to be facing forward and yes there ALWAYS is a particular order ...whether by size/shape, category and/or color....

<<<<.... Crush, perhaps..>>>>

eew lol. Besides, I hate flats <wink>

I don't know about alphabetical order, but Kelly has made fun of Marks' kitchen organization several times.

Dani, Can You Guarantee That You Can Financially Support A Chamber Orchestra From Julliard? If Not, Why Not!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can support them, but can't afford to spay or neuter them..

Mel

Better a chamber orchestra than a chamber pot.

I'll bring the party hats!

PK...
12-01-2006, 02:43 PM
Hmmm...

Well, I think that depends on the situation... I can think of occasions when the Pot would be much preferred to the orchestra... <grin> (or possibly at the same time... They can go on and on, can't they?)

No, haven't had an occasion to make it again, but there's still one more container in the freezer... We popped the second of three just the other day... Just enough left overs for lunch...

I know, Sam, I think of you when I dish it up, too... <grin> Funny how those things work, isn't it...

Mozart Was Always A Brillant, Innovative Musician!!!!!!!!!! Too Bad He Didn't Hand Around Long Enough To View/understand His Legacy!!!!!!!!!!
Too Bad That Most Illiterate So-called 'musicians' Are Too Illiterate To Understand What Mozart Had To Say About Musical Composition!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mel
12-02-2006, 05:18 PM
Indy, do you ever wonder how the classical composers would have evolved over the centuries?

Imagine Mozart having access to the technology we have today.

Cindyloo
12-03-2006, 03:05 AM
It would be wild, wouldn't it Mel?

I wonder what Indy thinks of "Yanni"?

I always think of him as a modern day Mozart.

I love Yanni's music.

There was a promo on tv the other day about an orchestra that is touring.
Siberian something or other...lol....OMG! They do classical music with a touch of "rock" in it. They may have been around for awhile, don't know.

They are to be in our area sometime in the new year. I am definitely going to get tickets and go. They are high energy with the light show and all.

The lead man, has long gorgeous hair. Well, most of them do...really a nice looking group. They have dancers too.

I'll think of the name of them here afterwhile.

Edited...I made a search and they are in Columbus Oh. the 6th of this month, which isn't far. I better get a ticket now, if I want to go. They are also in Cincinnati this month. Trans-Siberian is their name.

Tickets still available...for $97.00...Yikeys!

*Cindyloo breaking into piggy bank*...lol

Mel

I liked Yanni also.

Years ago, I went to see him at the Jones Beach Theater. Every song sounded the same. I became very bored with Yanni. It was very, very foggy that night, so the stage looked very cool.... but like I said, it became kind of boring so we left before the final number to beat the traffic mess. lol

I'll check out Trans-Siberian, I never heard of them.

Cindyloo
12-03-2006, 05:39 AM
Yes, I agree, Yanni's music sometimes, it mostly sounds alike.

I'm wondering if that's the case with Trans-Siberian?

They remind me of Yanni's orchestra.

Cute guys...Ooo-weee!...lol

Oh I bet their Christmas music is awesome PK.

I need to check them out and buy a CD or DVD of my own.

Have they been around for awhile? I haven't read their bio's or anything, and I'm usually out of the loop on some things..lol

PK...
12-03-2006, 05:54 AM
Hmmm...

I just came back from Amazon... They have a lot of Christmas Albums out, but I may have confused them with a Mannheim Steamroller Album...

In any event, I listened to a few clips, and they are quite good... Maybe you should try that... I was able to listen to clips there, even on dial-up.... One write up likened it to a Christmas Rock Opera, LOL... Apparently their first Christmas album came out in 96...

They've been showing the commercial here a lot for the past week or so.

They show it so much, we'll probably be sick of them by the time Christmas is over...lol

Kristie

Trans Siberian Orchestra has been around for years. I had a 33 rpm Christmas album of theirs yrs ago. They must be getting popular again, more popular than they've ever been before I think. They just did a concert here last week. I guess they do a light show in time to their music.

Mannheim Steamroller is from around here. They do their own interpretation of the classics, but you still recognize them. I'm pretty sure they've been around that long too, but don't know for sure. I have most of their albums.

Cindyloo
12-03-2006, 06:35 AM
Hi Kristie

I had a feeling they'd been around for awhile. Thanks for the info. I love music, but sometimes lose track of who's popular and who isn't...lol

Neato on having their albums

PK...
12-03-2006, 06:50 AM
Hmmm....

Their website says they were formed in 1996... LOL, Kristie... You must by a lot younger than I - cause 10 years seems like yesterday to me...

Kristie

Just came back from looking them up. You're right. Wikipedia says they were formed in 1996.

I KNOW I've had 33 Christmas albums by some orchestra with Siberian in the name.

Now I'm curious about Chip Davis' Mannheim Steamroller too.

Kristie
12-03-2006, 07:21 AM
Mannheim Steamroller released its first album Fresh Aire in 1975. There were still 33's around then, but cassettes were more popular by then.

PK...
12-03-2006, 08:25 AM
Hah.....

We had just gotten 8 track by then, LOL... Didn't get a cassette until one came with a car... Then after CDs came out, I got a cassette player.... Our first CD player came with a computer...

Hubby and are going to try to go, but they're in Columbus and Cincinnati this coming week and I doubt if we can go then.

I'll see if they're in Dayton again and when.

I want to see them so badly.

I LOVE Trans-Siberian Orchestra. We have gone to see them in concert for the last 3-4 years at Christmas. This year they are in St. Louis 0n 12/27, two days after Christmas. We really don't want to see a Christmas concert after christmas, so we're going to skip it this year, but they are wonderful in concert. The light show and special effects are awesome. I will just have to watch them on Live this year.

So strange that we're hearing of them a lot now. They must be especially popular throughout the Christmas season.

Neato Kitty! I can't wait to get the chance sometime to catch their show on stage. I might even join their fan club. I'm thinking very seriously of doing that.
