I love mine. I have 4 pair(tall, short, Fiona, Louise) plus the slippers. Your feet stay warm and toasty but not hot.

You are not supposed to wear socks with them.

They are very comfy.

I know the Ugg's have been around for quite sometime. I'm not sure if they keep you toasty warm or are just another fashion trend...I'm hoping that they aren't a fashion trend which is going to end just as soon as I pay for these darn things. I found them at a great online store who swears they will be in in my hands by Christmas. Now, hopefully, that will be true!

As you wear them they conform to the shape of your foot...that makes them feel that much more warm and snuggly on your feet.

Another great feature is the tabbed browsing... IE7 has finally incorporated that... It's great when you have a lot of pages open at once.. They are listed in a bar at the top, individually, and you can easily flip back and forth...

With the IE 6 and down, if you had several open, they were lumped together in one spot at the bottom, making it hard to sort out what was what...

They also have a bookmark toolbar where you can keep your regular sites a click away...

I was a hard convert, but once I did, I never use IE unless there's a page that just won't work in Firefox... There is an extension to handle that, too, LOL... a right click link to open the page in IE...

And you can set up the native search bar with a zillion different sites, and select the one you want to search via a dropdown list.. Including Amazon and eBay...

I was kinda waiting until I got a new computer...I love this old one, but it is almost 6 years old and it's time to retire it for a new one!

Actually, your old computer would probably appreciate the switch, LOL... Firefox is a much smaller application than IE. You will probably notice faster loading - especially with the AdBlock...

The biggest downside to switching browsers for me has been getting used to a new setup.

But then that's the same when you update ANY software.

Your best bet is to download FF and use it for a while. If you find you don't like it, unistall it and simply go back to your old browser (which you did NOT uninstall).

You will have to download some plugins like Flash, and the like, but you have the option of adding them from the page that requires it... It's pretty seamless... You "may" have to download Java again, but I don't think that's the case with FF 2.0...

The only downside is that when they upgrade FF, you may have to reload your extensions...

Sheesh... I have had to reconfigure so many computers this last month, I think I can do it in my sleep, LOL...

OH... And in version 2.0..... Perhaps the best feature (which I should not have forgotten, considering my recent computer history!) If FF crashes while you have numerous pages open, for whatever reason... When you re-open it, it asks if you want to resume your session or start a new one...

That is a life saver... Even if you are in the middle of writing in a form, and it goes down, you come back up exactly where you were...

There's a very good review complete with screen vies on FF2.0 somewhere... I will track it down and post the url...

All I simply asked from pk was a peace treaty that it's and maybe an apology, but not even that, just something were we could both post and not fight all the time, I even stated I wouldnt come around this place anymore and would stay out of her fights with others and not say anything bad about kelly, even though I am entitled to my own opinion. But I would put everything aside if she would just agree to a peace treaty and talk to me in private, but nope, she wouldnt do it, she slapped the offer out of my hand each time I kept offering it to her day after day after day and she says I'm the immature one ?

One thing that annoyed me when I upgraded from 1.5 to 2.0 is that it automatically deleted any extensions that were not compatible.

Luckily I had a list of all the extensions I added so I could search for their updates (usually a couple of days time) & reinstall them.

In some cases, it's not easy to FIND all the extensions again.... so I created a folder for my FF extensions & when I add one or consider one for later, I bookmark the page, so I can find them again.)

Oh but I still haven't reinstalled version 2.0. lol

I file that under "don't ask, don't tell"...

I actually don't mind the corded mouse... This optical one from the Gateway works just fine... I use a spiral notebook as a mouse pad (88 cents), and the paper seems to keep the mouse "under bumpers" pretty clean... And I can write on it, too...

When it gets grimy, I just flip the page, and can keep my notes... (AS IF I would ever remember I had hand written notes!!! It's the idea that counts, LOL...)
